Rummy's idea of finding herself an isolated warm pond to spend so quality ti at was not unique to her, although this concept was utterly foreign to the inhabitants of the realm, as they saw no problem in communal bathing and had pastis of faith-related matters, or what would be considered full-ti jobs anywhere else, weaving clothes, gathering materials, creating statues, all sorts of arts, building…

Clearly, there wasn't much point to them in seeking heated ponds beyond the ones they all gathered to at the end of each week, concepts of privacy and hobbies were entirely different for the Tamarisian guests however.

It had been a bit arduous to find things that could serve as proper equipnt and then bringing them here, but Milo felt rather proud of himself on this one, although he hid it well, he was amongst the most affected by his encounter and confrontation with Loimos, already a gruelling fight to begin with, but it had turned out that the foul undead was even more despicable than first assud.

The one Tamaris had first co to know about under the nicknas of 'Royal Courier' and 'Butcher Of The Badlands', had always been a reviled figure, a rciless hunter of the living, a close agent of the king of the dead, when he faced off against Thanatok Ynigós and ultimately triumphed, it had beco a priority to finish off this apocalyptic threat, seen as one of the greatest weapon in the undead empire's arsenal.

But Milo and the others, although, by all ans, exalted warriors all, even if not in their pri just yet, none of them had been a slouch that could be discarded as a weakling, all coming together upon a singular opponent, one that had been severely weakened, who had only co out victorious by a hair's breadth, had simply been too overwhelming for them to handle.

ticulously, he overpowered, outsmarted each and every one of them, their survival to be thanked for to Thanatok.

Truthfully, Milo's mories of the event were a bit hazy, one could say that his vision had turned red, not only when he saw Griar being killed, but when he realised that Loimos and the undead that had killed his father- Were one and the sa.

And yet, even after he entered a state of utter focus and montarily managed to manipulate his golden mana to degrees of efficiency and power that seed unattainable until then, he still failed to fell him.

Loimos had walked away victorious over them all.

So everyday, Milo continued to practise and train.

But since none of in the Erald Realm truly partook in smithing, he had had to get imaginative with how to assemble a training room, indeed, tal forging was not at all sothing common here, in fact, it seed utterly absent, they used wood and stone for their hos, they weaved and sewed clothes, but no sign of iron anywhere.

In fact, nobody apart from the outsiders seed to have any jewellery or any ornants for that matter, the closest he saw were necklaces and the likes fashioned out of creature parts from the beast worshippers, and even then, it had seed like this was only worn for certain rituals.

So instead, Milo had use his head and fashioned things out of stone, neither Arzt or any of the statue makers had any clue what the words he used to describe training equipnt, perhaps it was because he had an awful accent when speaking their languages for the latter, but for the forr, it was just that the old man took his carvings too seriously to carve anything of the sort.

Still, he had been willing to lend Milo so tools, advising him to think of nas for his creations.

After much trial and error, Milo had assembled the necessary items to properly train one's muscles, he did not want for a single of them to not be exercised to its limit like the rest.

He had first planned to settle down in a quiet part of so woods, but had stumbled upon a small cave whose entrance had been overgrown with plants, ford out of a small hills, which carried upon its back densely packed trees, their roots intertwined, visible from the inside of the cave, although awfully close to one another, there were still a few holes in the ground, allowing for light to course through, creating a most enchanting sight when one was within.

But although magnificent, the young man had actually picked this place because it featured a warm pond, within the shaded interior of this cave, it made relaxing after a training session exceptionally easy, the fact that the side and bottom were entirely made of stone also made it especially comfortable.

Inside the cave, steam would always be floating around, slowly being funnelled into the natural-ford cheminee that were all holes in the ceiling, the ambient warmth this created was also very conductive to training one's physical body.

He would also often lend a hand to the beast worshippers when it ca to hunting, he had first thought that it was weird for people who worshipped living creatures to also partake in hunting but of course, they also believed in the natural order since they sought to be like beasts.

This allowed him to also rack up so of that so easily forgotten experience, throughout his lifeti, he had not earned much of this, like most people, Milo often forgot about the system's existence, everyone had it, but few could actually see what it had to offer, be it by literally being displayed an interface of wildly varying qualities and clearness, or by being whispered about them in their ears.

Milo could just feel the experience rolling in and felt whenever he levelled up as he would sense his body growing miraculously stronger.

He could not forget anything to accumulate as much power as possible, just in case…

…Just in case he showed up.

"Already in this cave so early in the morning? Did you sleep here again?" asked Helena as she walked in, of all people, he had obviously told her about this place.

Even after all these years, and after bulking up to great proportions, Helena still wore the sa style of dress as she always did, though, it had to co off as it was not an ideal getup to lift so stones.

"I wanted to get back, but I fell asleep in the pond…" he defended himself with a small grin.

"Well, it's alright, I'll just stay around and make sure you don't do that alone again" with a wink, she gave him a quick kiss, still sothing sent ripples coursing through his body even after many years, and having very much consummated their relationship.

"Ah, you finalised this one?" she then asked, pointing to a simple bench with fabric laid over it to cover for the fact that Milo could not properly smoothen a surface for the life of him.

This exercise was simple and was one they always loved doing together back at the academy, you just layed on your back upon the bench and lifted up a weight, although none of them required soone else to be looking out in case the weight was too heavy, as they could just use their mana to enhance their strength at any ti.

Still, they still liked to do it like back in the day, when they had first begun training their physique together, both having been a bit scrawny in spite of their childhood at the farm.

"Want to try it?"

"Of course"

And so they went into position.

Training with little pause, it was a bit nostalgic really, they had not gotten the occasion to do it after they had had to leave the academy.

To think that even during those joyful days, that a vile corpse was lurking not too far…
