Coughing repeatedly, spewing out an entire bone that had been swallowed alongside the deliciously roasted at, striking the rickety table with his fist, covering the bark-like throat as it ached with pain, continuing to cough even after the culprit of the blockage was extracted, angrily lashing out at the inanimate objects all around.

"Chieftain, is everything alrigh-" a concerned goblin garbed in a most archaic attempt at an armour crafted from beast's remains extended his worries, only to be struck in the face as he approached.

"Get away from ! Who do you think you are?! Do you think I am so weak that I require assistance for such a trivial matter?!" spitting his vitriol, the goblin with a hefty, round stomach rose from his seat, face winkled, almost losing his balance due to standing up too quickly, quickly catching himself.

Snorting, rubbing his crooked nose, flinging the gathered snot without a care, the chieftain of the greatest tribe of the island, in all of his lack of glory, his current state only accentuated by the mory of those that rembered his golden age, about twenty years ago at least.

White bits of hair grew haphazardly upon his face, stretch marks threatening to bleed from the constant gorging he subjected himself to, dark spot upon his back, certainly sign of a grave disease or corruption plaguing him, many teeth missing from his jaw, one out of two of them were gone, whenever he smiled, it was like the rampart of a castle beca visible.

None dared to question their leader however, even in this sorry state and at his advanced age, pushing the barriers of his species as he was soon to reach forty years of life, still, the chieftain was many tis larger and more powerful than anyone else, now appearing more like gluttonous ogre than a goblin, the distinctive bark-like growths upon all on this island struggled to remain upon him, showing the paleness that laid below.

As all knew, might made right, as the mightiest, he was in charge of all.

"Ergh… Where are my slave-whores?" as refined in language as he was in action and presentation, he asked as scratched the top of his head, rubbing his overwhelmingly filled stomach, he himself felt like he was about to burst, it was painful, but it also reminded him that he truly was a god amongst the peons, none could afford to cultivate this body except for him.

"Chief?" another goblin entered the room, stepping over the poor guard that was still laying upon the floor, his steps careful as not used to walk upon a stone ground, unlike the rest of the lower monsters, the chieftain had taken residence in a ho of stalwart stone, which was architecture that did not belong to his kind.

"What is it?" not feeling nearly as irritated after striking the lights out of an innocent, the huge goblin asked calmly.

"The lesser tribes have attacked us"

"Huh? Which one dared to challenge ? If they are displeased, let them co and challenge in person…" laughing at the absurdity, he soon noticed that the goblin carrying the ssage was visibly tense.

"What is it, little guy? Don't tell we suffered so losses to those inferior things?" tilting his head, a few pieces of bark falling right off because of the movents.

"Chief, it is simply that it wasn't only one of them, it was an attacking force made up of dozens from each tribe…" revealed the goblin, kneeling upon the ground with his head held as low as was possible, fearing the wrath of his lord.

"Heh… Ah! Ah ah ah! That's hilarious, did they think that they could shake by banding together? What is this? The power of friendship? Ah ah ah!

Argh!" like a switch was flipped on, the chief went from total hilarity to abject, most vile disgust, shattering the flimsy table for good with the strike of his fist.

"Losses?" he demanded.

"Eight dead, fifteen wounded"

"That's it?" the goblin knew this tone, the chief was asking if that was really the truth, or a lie to attempt to avoid his fury.

"Yes sir! We suspect that they acted like this because of a food shortage, they were weak and sluggish, despite their high number, they posed little threat" the leader rubbed his chin, more intrigued than mad, to the ssenger's pleasure.

"Well… Could it be because of the strange new camp that appeared on the shore? Ergh… No matter, enough of it"

"I have been kind enough to those beasts, only cutting their populations every three years and not seeding all their females at every occasion! That's it, total eradication it is! Go tell my warriors to go out and slaughter them all, n and children! Ungrateful bastards!" taking this occasion to leave without hesitation, the goblin ran off.

Shaking his head, the goblin chief could not believe that the lesser fools would try sothing like this, his tribe was bigger than all of theirs combined, and what was there to be displeased about anyways? What was the problem with having to pay tributes in food and fertile females? He did not get it, if anything, he was generous with them, he could have just taken them all as slaves ages ago!

Stepping out of his stone palace, he watched as his faithful servants went to work imdiately, all so hurried, all so amiable, truly, the fear of punishnt and death was a glorious invention.

In barely just a few hours, his disorganised troops went off to commit acts of slaughter without hesitation, nearly the entirety of his n were gone just like that, no one found any problem with this, in fact, so found this to be a great idea.

"Chieftain!" another goblin, a feeble one rushed in, clearly not used to carrying ssages.

The chieftain in question had been quick to head back inside and laze around upon a throne of so sorts, sleeping and snoring by the ti this servant of his appeared.

"Ah, have my troops brought back so slaves?" in a good mood at this prospect, he did not lash out for having his slumber interrupted.

"Chieftain! We are under attack, we-" both of their attentions were taken to the side, a tall figure just standing there.

Despite its great height, it was still smaller than the enormous fra of the goblin chieftain, giving him confidence in spite of the fact that it had snuck up close to him undetected.

"How long have you been there?" simply asking as he rose from his throne, brushing off saliva from his face, cracking his neck and knuckles.

Glancing back at the goblin that had woken him, the chief only saw a husk overflowing with flies and locusts, so of the forr glowing deep colours that did not evoke anything positive.

"Greetings, let us step outside for a mont"
