Chapter 1012: Detective Skeleton
Solzmimi led the way for a long while, until finally stopping in front of what looked like a ruined, old shack- It looked as thought a teor had co crashing right in the middle of it, blasting everything away, curiously however, despite this place having been the ho Arzt, there no trace of any statue or sculpture around.
The sun ancestor scratched the back of her head as she turned to Loimos.
“Don’t bla us, after they left, we took what Arzt had left behind to a secure location, and then, we just obliterated what was left, you know, since we hadn’t lost yet… We covered up for them in the case that we got our asses kicked later on” she casually explained.
One didn’t say anything upon hearing this, rely glancing at Loimos to try and guess what he was going to do about it.
“Can I…?” anwhile Maliah pulled out a dagger from her sleeve and pointed at it.
“You can not” simply replied the pure undead, making the assassin slip the weapon back in her sleeve before crossing her arms.
“Do take a few step back” Loimos stated before several bony protuberances suddenly erged from his form, each of them spreading out and beginning to carve into the ground under the eyes of the three won, sigils, runes of all kinds, written format of the death tongue, circles and alike… Just by the sheer volu of different things being used, one could tell that he was going to do sothing incredible.
That notion was only reinforced as it didn’t stop at that, he also manifested various materials, adding them to the what he had already done, effectively, making the thing into an array as well, then we began doing the sa thing on a smaller scale directly onto the air, several tis, and afterward, he just stood still as a cacophony of voices erupted from him, reciting incantations in parallel of one another.
He was doing this personally whilst, no doubt, the now refurnished facilities were also participating.
“Excuse , young ladies, but what in damnation is he doing?” Solzmimi asked as she slightly leaned forward to et the eyes of the other undeads present.
“Hell if I know”
“Surely sothing incredible!”
“Huh…” the sun ancestor glanced at Loimos, who had began performing movents alongside the chanting, that madman was actually combining incantations, prayers, gestures and all kinds of ways of power and conditions together, so of which were so similar to one another, that even a knowledgeable onlooker would underestimated just how many things were at play here.
Solzmimi had next to no knowledge about ways of power outside of sun and beast worship, the ones she knew the most about besides that were carving and naming on account of the old carver.
So she really could not know how significant what was happening truly was, but she could definitely feel the fluctuations…
Solzmimi just shrugged, it wasn’t like there was anything she could do at this point, the terms of being defeated had been clear, and causing trouble would only spell tornt for the common erald folk.
Even if she would like to help those who had escaped, there was nothing she could do without in turn putting her own people in danger, so the sun ancestor just sighed and decided to do what sun worshippers did best.
“Are you two his girlfriends, or sothing?”
“I wish” the vampire’s response ca instantly, without a shred of hesitation.
“I personally just follow him in hopes that there will be stuff to kill-”
“She’s lying, do not believe a word that cos out of her mouth, Maliah is just too shy to admit it”
“Oi, don’t speak nonsense to strangers, are you trying to start a rumour?”
Solzmimi certainly found those two more entertaining to discuss with than Loimos, the pure undead was quite literally the death of fun, which made it rather odd that he would be tailed by those two out of all undeads.
Were all undeads besides him actually full of personality like that? If so, perhaps becoming a part of the Empire wouldn’t be quite as miserable as she had anticipated…
Whilst the sun ancestor was getting One to spout more and more egregious pieces of information without even having to try- Loimos finished what he was doing after several minutes.
And right before their eyes, the destroyed shack repaired itself before their very eyes to the exact state it was just before the group of escapees made their exit, the only thing missing were the statues and sculptures, seemingly exempt from being brought back.
What’s more impressive, is that this wasn’t temporary, Arzt old ho was genuinely brought back as it used to be, and it would stay that way unless soone actively destroyed it again.
“Did you just rewind ti or sothing like that? Holy…” the sun ancestor didn’t know what to say.
“I didn’t know you could manipulate ti, Loimos” Maliah rubbed her tallic chin.
“It is but a little trick, ti is not sothing that is easily bent without the appropriate ans or ability” spoke the pure undead, of course, ti magic was a thing, but anything that was truly complicated or that was supposed to last took enormous amounts of effort, only one with either enormous talent in it, or possessing sothing like an innate ability might be able to do sothing truly significant.
And furthermore, because ti was such a complicated thing to manipulate, even the slightest bit of resistance when used against soone else could cause everything to crumble, in comparison, space was a law that was as easy to control as stealing candy from a newborn.
Here, Loimos took several long minutes, and had to personally make actions despite the many facilities taking part, just to return a small shack and its underground to what they were before… Well, he actually did sothing else as well, which certainly rendered the whole process even more complicated.
On top of restoring the place, he had also made sure to restore the hints of presence and energies that would have been left by those present.
As the group of four stepped inside, and descended into the basent below, they found the exact place where the livings hailing from Tamaris had once again escaped, the altar was the sa, but unfortunately, the item supposed to be put inside to take one to a safe realm was missing.
Arzt was resourceful and a man full of tricks, the ‘key’ was a unique creation of his, and could not be replicated, at least, Loimos could not imitate it without having the original one to either study or decay.
Still, Loimos seized control of the remnant energies and presences, causing a scene to appear before everyone’s eyes.
