Chapter 29: Love Rival
“Father...” Nathan’s voice sounded pitiful as he called his father.
He sounded frightened, worried that his father would scold him for being naughty.
“What is it? Are you not happy?” Christian asked, sitting up in bed. His voice was soft and warm, unlike soone who was trying to reprimand his son.
His eyes fell on the lamp beside his bed. The bathroom door was slightly ajar, but Christian didn’t notice because of the dim light in the room.
Nathan saw the ss in his room and decided to admit it. He didn’t want his father to get angry if he lied. All he knew was, Christian really hated lies.
Finally, he nodded and said in a low voice, “Yes.”
Nathan felt very bored where he lived now. He rolled his eyes and his lips seed to thin out in annoyance. “Father, I haven’t seen you in a long ti. Last ti I could only see you from the TV screen. I really miss you.”

For Christian, his very young son was already more independent than other children his age. Nathan was used to being left alone as Christian spent most of his ti working.
It was rare for him to be this spoiled.
Hearing that his son missed him, Christian’s heart ward. He usually looked indifferent, but this ti he smiled. His face looked warm and filled with affection.
“I’ll have soone pick you up tomorrow.”
“Is that true?” Nathan’s bad mood imdiately dispersed. He was jumping up and down happily. “Am I going to live with you?”
“Yes,” Christian nodded. The smile on his face grew wider as he thought of his son getting bigger. He still rembered when his son was a baby, learning to walk, learning to talk ...
All those mories were still etched in his mind.
“Wait for to pick you up.” Not long after saying that, Christian hung up.
Ella closed the bathroom door slowly. Her back was against the door and she slowly slumped to the floor, sitting on the cold floor.
Suddenly, she realized that she had a rival when it ca to love.
Was that a woman?
Hearing Christian’s voice so soft, Ella was sure that the woman on the other end of the phone was very important to the man. What should she do now?
She needed Christian’s help to reach her goal. How should she get rid of that woman?
She was so confused that it didn’t even cross her mind that Christian had a son. It was unthinkable that the person Christian was talking to was his son.
When she heard Christian’s soft voice, all she could think of was a woman. The figure of a woman who managed to get into Christian’s heart.
“Not finished yet?” Christian’s voice was heard from outside.
Ella imdiately got to her feet and opened the bathroom’s door, walking out as if nothing had happened.
“You missed already?” Ella looked at Christian and sat down beside him. After that, she leaned against his chest. “It turns out that there are many won who want you, aside from . What should I do if you don’t want anymore...”
Ella was testing Christian. Testing how important that woman was in Christian’s heart.
Christian’s eyes darkened when he heard this. “We have signed a contract. Do you regret it now?”

Ella accepted it and applied it carefully to each wound. She didn’ want to disappoint Christian because there were scars on her body.

As he grew increasingly irritated, Christian’s large hand took the ointnt and gently rubbed Ella’s back.
A chill ran down her spine to her head, making Ella’s face blush.
“Let’s go to your workplace.”
Christian wanted to go back there and teach those who dare touch his won a lesson. Such people would not live long.
While talking about her workplace, Ella’s body shuddered.

A smile appeared on Christian’s lips as he answered, “Naked.”

Christian told Ella to turn around again and go back to treating her wound.
“But the most ‘important’ part is still covered.”
At that mont, Ella could only rember what happened yesterday. The three n whipped her with whips made of leather, tearing her clothes. They did have a hobby of torturing won.
But since they were too engrossed in the torture, they hadn’t had ti to do anything else to Ella. Coincidentally, Jason arrived just in ti and screwed up their disgusting plan.
Ella heaved a sigh of relief and then shook her head in annoyance.
“Are you annoyed? With ?”
Christian’s voice startled her. Ella imdiately shook her head.
“Not. I’m really grateful you didn’t co late.”
Christian snorted as he heard this, but he was actually pleased.

In the afternoon, Christian took Ella back to work.
Ella looked a little hesitant as she stepped back into this place. The events of last night were still very fresh in her mind.
But now, Christian was beside her. She knew that with Christian, nothing would happen to her.
Christian would protect her.
Together with Christian, she could do anything, without fear.
The bar manager imdiately took them inside. Even though his body was covered in cold sweat, he still tried to remain calm and tried to greet them well.
Last night, sothing happened to Ella and the manager couldn’t run away from responsibility.
