"Why are you guys so tense?" Annabeth, holding a chocolate bar, asked while eating. Her eyes showed a touch of curiosity, noticing the sowhat heavy atmosphere hanging in the air. Her chocolate-filled cheeks moved with her mouth.
"An unexpected visit." Godwyn said with a smile, dispelling any worries in his heart. The war hadn't started, and he had no reason to be worried at this mont. Being too worried would only make him more tense and paranoid, so he put the conspiracy matter aside.
Luke and Grover exchanged glances, although they didn't know King Midas's identity, they were sure that man was sent by an extrely powerful god. So powerful that it made Godwyn himself show a solemn expression.
Which was quite surprising in their eyes, as they saw that Godwyn wasn't afraid of Zeus or even his own father. So, the man was sent by a very powerful god to the point that their friend treated the other side with solemnity.
Thalia looked at Godwyn with suspicion, but seeing his intention not to continue, she didn't ddle in the Golden Boy's private affairs. "Let's go, I want to see the scenery of Camp Half-Blood, I hope it has a beautiful landscape." She said with a beautiful smile on her lips.
"It's very beautiful, especially Canoe Lake and the Strawberry Fields." Grover said with a proud smile, then showed a sowhat lecherous grin. "The hot springs…"
Godwyn laughed seeing Grover's expression. He could sowhat imagine Camp Half-Blood. Imagine hundreds of young people stressed by extrely dangerous missions, sexual relief helped a lot in destressing.
Thalia rolled her eyes at the goat-man's lecherous gaze, but she understood that this was natural for human and divine nature. So, she didn't care much and pulled Annabeth into the car, waiting for Godwyn to drive.
Godwyn, Luke, and Grover, seeing this, also got into the car and soon the Mustang roared again, accelerating towards Long Island.
The Nordic demigod narrowed his eyes and seed thoughtful, watching the landscape rush by. He wouldn't look for Gaia at this mont; he wanted to get to Camp Half-Blood as soon as possible. After leaving Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth safely at Camp Half-Blood, he would begin his plans.
After resolving things in Greece, he would have to return to Scandinavia to begin preparations for Ragnarok. Odin would face Ragnarok and the Divine War between Pantheons at the sa ti. Only then would the All-Father's Omniscient Vision stay away from him.
'Dear father, I just hope you like the gift I'm preparing for you. I will happily watch you be devoured by Loki's son.' Godwyn thought with a calm and serene look.
Suddenly, Godwyn noticed sothing strange.
The world around him changed; he was on a golden throne, immobilized by half a dozen n in black robes. The most terrifying thing was that Godwyn felt he couldn't move. He looked at the n, more precisely at the knives in their hands.
Godwyn's eyes widened in shock, for he knew the power embedded in those blades.
It was the power of Destined Death!
At the sa mont, Godwyn felt a familiar pain pierce his back; in the next second, more and more stabs pierced the flesh of his back. The familiar pain, but intensified countless tis, made Godwyn's face turn pale as his body fell limply to the marble floor.
Godwyn felt an extrely cold sensation run through his body; black lines rose through his sclera and turned his golden eyes into a dark and somber color.
Godwyn didn't know why, but instead of begging for death, the words that ca out of his mouth were only of longing and affection. "Mother… forgive …"
Mother?
Who was his mother?
Flashes of mories flickered before Godwyn, an incredibly beautiful woman with long hair and golden eyes looked at him with the tenderness and kindness of a mother. "Godwyn, my sweet little boy…" Her voice was the most beautiful thing in the world, sounding more like a lody than an actual voice.
Suddenly, Godwyn woke up from his dream hearing Thalia's shocked voice.
"Godwyn!!!"
Looking at the truck in front of him, Godwyn was quick with his extraordinary reflexes; he turned the steering wheel to the side and narrowly swerved the Mustang.
The loud, sharp horn of the truck was still in Godwyn's ears when the car returned to the right side of the road. But the Nordic Demigod was not happy; he put his hand on his forehead and felt his mind extrely chaotic.
What mories were those?
Who was that woman?
Why did he have these strange mories?
"Godwyn, what the hell was that?" Luke asked with a shocked tone, still incredulous at what had just happened.
Thalia, Annabeth, and Grover looked at Godwyn with a worried look, only Mimir looked deeply at the boy with a look full of wisdom and calm, as if he was guessing what was going through the boy's mind.
"I don't know, I just felt my mind was sowhere else and I woke up with Thalia's scream." Godwyn took a while to answer, but when he did, he spoke with a genuinely confused tone.
Everyone looked at Godwyn with a sympathetic look; they could see his pale and confused face. Although they didn't know what was going on in his mind, they could understand that it was sothing extrely shocking.
"Godwyn, chocolate calms the mind." Annabeth approached Godwyn and handed him the chocolate bar, showing a worried look.
Godwyn felt more comfortable with everyone's worried look; he looked at Annabeth and opened his mouth, letting the girl feed him so chocolate. Although he didn't think such a thing would solve it.
"Don't worry, I'm fine now." Godwyn said with a smile, but his pale face was still present. The pain he felt was not trivial; it was dozens of tis stronger than the pain he felt daily. It was so much pain that he still felt so remnants of spasms at that mont, showing that it was not an illusion, but sothing truly real.
Everyone nodded, but he could see that Godwyn was tired. "I can drive." Annabeth offered to drive again, but everyone hesitated. Annabeth was a seven-year-old child, and they knew her abilities.
"Then co and take my place." Unlike everyone else, Godwyn didn't hesitate and accepted without hesitation. He really wasn't fit to drive at that mont.
"Annabeth, teach Luke how to drive." Changing places with Annabeth in the car, Godwyn, who was now next to Thalia, said with an exhausted tone. He felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier; his body was begging for rest.
Annabeth nodded; she knew she couldn't drive for long, as for a child, driving was still tiring, especially a manual car.
Entering teacher mode, Annabeth looked at Luke with a stern look and said condescendingly. "Listen carefully, student."
This made the heavy atmosphere in the car disappear instantly, even Godwyn letting out an amused laugh before finally succumbing to sleep.
Feeling her shoulder being pressed, Thalia looked to the side and saw Godwyn sleeping with his head resting on her shoulder. A feeling of sha appeared on her face. For so reason, she liked that mont. He seed so helpless at that mont, showing how much he trusted her.
Godwyn didn't know what Thalia was feeling at that mont; he was facing another flash of mories.
He was in front of two timid and nervous children. Unlike him, who dressed exquisitely, they wore dark and worn robes.
Words ca out of his mouth with a gentle tone. "Little brothers, I brought food and clothes, but never tell our mother."
Godwyn's words made the two children show innocent and happy expressions; both ate the delicious food with big smiles, so teeth were missing from the children's teeth, but this only brought an adorable childish feeling to both children.
"Morgott, Mohg, eat a lot so you grow strong and healthy. When you beco adults, I will beg our mother to free you." Godwyn said with a gentle smile while caressing the hair of both children.
The boys seed full of hope with his words and ate even more voraciously.
The three siblings, despite the differences in appearances, were eating happily while Godwyn himself talked about the outside amidst the admiring exclamations of Morgott and Mohg.
