Li Ziyoung was dealing with Chen Jianguo behind his back, and he knew it. When he had learned of the plan, he had felt a mont of hesitation. He thought that the current Li Family should keep as low a profile as possible, developing quietly rather than engaging in such a campaign. However, Li Ziyoung’s assertive nature and his wild plan eventually persuaded him. He also felt that perhaps this was indeed a significant opportunity and a perfect plan for the rise of the Li Family!

But he hadn’t anticipated that Chen Jianguo would survive. The perfect plan was abruptly thwarted, and the entire plan for the rise ended up as nothing more than a minor sche to make so money. And now, this little money-making plan might even beco a plot that could cost him his life!

Previously, in their anticipation, the plan was risk-free. Even if soone were to investigate, they would only investigate the assassins, who were all top-tier. Ordinary criminal police would absolutely not be able to trace it back to them, and in the end, the case was supposed to fizzle out.

But lately, he had discovered that the criminal police of G City, Zeng Xiaoi and her team, were frequently accessing their company’s records, as well as those of several other companies. However, it was mainly evident that they were investigating their company. Moreover, from the latest news he obtained from inside the police departnt, Zeng Xiaoi had already applied to investigate so detailed data involving business secrets.

If the investigation were to continue in this manner, they were bound to be exposed. Even if it couldn’t form conclusive evidence, it would make them major suspects!

"Why don’t we talk to Grandpa and see if he has any ideas?"

After hesitating for a good while, Li Ziming finally decided to open his mouth and carefully brought up the suggestion.

"Hmm?"

Li Ziyoung looked up, his gaze turning to Li Ziming.

"Maybe, Grandpa might have so way... It’s not certain."

Facing Li Ziyoung’s gaze, Li Ziming suddenly felt a shock and timidly lowered his head.

"What is it?"

Just as Li Ziming’s voice fell, an elderly voice ca from the doorway. The slightly white-haired Li Wenchao walked in, a trace of a smile on his face as he looked at Li Ziyoung in front of him, "What’s going on, encountering so problems in business?"

"No, Grandpa, why are you here? We’re facing a minor issue in business, but we can solve it on our own."

Li Ziyoung hadn’t expected his grandfather to suddenly appear here. After a slight start, he quickly squeezed out a smile and greeted him warmly. As he spoke, his gaze, sowhat cold, darted towards Li Ziming.

Li Ziming, who had opened his mouth, intending to speak, closed it after seeing Li Ziyoung’s look, and his face also displayed a stiff smile, awkwardly saying, "Yes, Grandpa, it’s just a small matter, we can handle it."

"That’s good then. You both are the future hope of our Li Family. Grandpa also believes in your abilities. Grandpa is getting old, and what I can help with is becoming more and more limited, hehe. Oh, I ca here to call you boys. I just made your favorite bone soup today. Go drink it while it’s hot. Don’t delay, you can think about work when you return to the company. There’s plenty of ti to think."

Li Wenchao looked at his grandsons’ expressions, thought nothing more of it, and then spoke with a laugh.

"Grandpa, for such a small matter, why would you co personally? Soone could have just called us."

Li Ziyoung, watching his grandfather’s expression, slightly shifted his face, and also stretched out his hand to support Li Wenchao’s arm.

"I’m free anyway, and besides, I was worried that others might not be able to get you to move. Alright, let’s not talk anymore, let’s go have so soup first."

Li Wenchao laughed and then led the way back to the door of the room.

Li Ziyoung, with a warning look, glared at Li Ziming and then turned to support his grandfather as they walked out.

Sensing the warning in Li Ziyoung’s gaze, Li Ziming watched the two figures of Grandpa and grandson, one old and one young, moving towards the doorway. His eyes flickered with a complex look as he sighed and slowly walked towards the door.

"Fatty, what did you just say? You said... you found it?"

Listening to Fatty Tang’s voice on the phone, Xiao Yi almost thought he was hallucinating. After a while, he excitedly lifted his head from a pile of docunts looking like a mountain and exclaid with joy.

"Yes, boss, I have not failed your expectations!"

Fatty Tang nodded heavily and his face showed an incredibly excited expression. His eyes, bloodshot and filled with excitent and joy, were not only because this ti, he had surpassed himself and advanced his skills to a new level, achieving sothing he had never imagined or even thought about before. He had successfully broken through the stringent defenses and avoided one master after another.

More importantly, he had finally fulfilled Xiao Yi’s entrusted task, completed what he had been asked to do, and helped him. At this mont, he could finally say aloud, proudly and unmistakably, that he was Xiao Yi’s friend!

"That’s great, Fatty, you are really amazing! Where are you now? I’m going to co find you right away."

Xiao Yi suddenly jumped up from his chair and slamd on the table.

"I’m at... well, boss, co to XXX Road, I’ll bring those docunts down to you right now."

Fatty Tang subconsciously started to say where he was but his gaze caught sight of a close-up photo of him with Li Ling, and as he was about to speak, his face turned slightly red, ntioning the na of a nearby street instead.

"OK, I’m heading over now."

At this mont, Xiao Yi didn’t think much; he wasn’t in the mood to do so. All his attention was focused on the thrilling news brought by Fatty Tang. He had been buried in these docunts for several days; during these days, he had hardly slept or closed his eyes. But the amount and complexity of these docunts had surpassed his expectations. The difficulty in sorting out the information he wanted was far beyond his imagination.

Until now, he hadn’t found much, but now that Fatty Tang had located the data, he no longer needed to continue plowing through these docunts.

Right after hanging up the phone, he didn’t even change his clothes; he headed straight to the garage and drove his Toyota directly to the street Fatty Tang had ntioned.

After so long, there was finally news!

Xiao Yi’s mood couldn’t calm down for a long ti. Excitent inadvertently showed in his eyes, and his hands trembled slightly as he gripped the steering wheel.

From Azure Waterfront to the street ntioned by Fatty Tang wasn’t exactly close, but at the mont, Xiao Yi was extrely anxious. He drove there as fast as he could, and in his intense rush, he likely racked up five or six tickets along the way. After only a short while, he had arrived.

"Boss, what happened to you?"

"Fatty, what happened to you?"

As Xiao Yi got out of the car, both he and Fatty Tang nearly shouted in surprise at the sa ti and saw a shocked and astonished expression in each other’s eyes.

"Fatty, are you..."

It took a while before Xiao Yi ca back to his senses, his face still bearing an indescribable shock as he looked at Fatty Tang, exclaiming in surprise.

The current Fatty Tang had changed too much. If it wasn’t for the fact that he had just heard his voice, he really wouldn’t believe that this was the sa Fatty Tang; he looked even more terrible than the last ti when he had been drinking all night.

His beard was very long, clearly unshaved for a while. People passing by on the street were casting glances at him, eyes filled with wariness and fear. His hair was also extrely ssy, ridiculously long, and mixed with bits of dandruff, looking like a real bird’s nest. But what scared Xiao Yi even more was that his round, chubby face now oddly had a contour!

His eyes were deeply sunken, and his eyes were filled with dense bloodshot.

"I’m fine, boss, what about you..."

Feeling the genuine concern and worry in Xiao Yi’s eyes, Fatty Tang felt an indescribable touch of emotion. He smiled gratefully, and his face was also full of confusion as he looked at Xiao Yi. Xiao Yi looked terrible as well, his already lean and pale face now looked paler and faintly greenish; his eyes were also sowhat bloodshot.

"I just didn’t rest well yesterday, Fatty. You’ve been... foolish to do this; actually, whether this task was completed didn’t matter."

Xiao Yi was not foolish. After a mont of shock, he imdiately understood why Fatty Tang had ended up like this. Sothing fiercely clenched his heart, and his voice choked up.

This silly, tough guy had pushed himself to the limit just to help him with this task...

"Boss, I’m okay, don’t worry about , haha, I’m naturally big and have strong health. I’ve just not slept for two or three days; I can handle it. I’ll just go ho and sleep it off."

Fatty Tang, seeing the expression on Xiao Yi’s face, simply touched his head and laughed. He knew that what Xiao Yi said was not true; this matter wasn’t unimportant but was actually very significant. Otherwise, Xiao Yi wouldn’t have beco so haggard over these few days because of this task. Therefore, he felt even more relieved, thankful that he had persisted in the face of those difficulties. Otherwise, he couldn’t imagine how disappointed the boss would have been! (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, you are welco to cast your recomndation and monthly votes at Qidian (qidian).
