(This Chapter concludes! Originally, with such generous support from my readers, it’s really inappropriate for to write only this little amount but I truly had no other choice. I wasn’t prepared, and I have been constantly on the move during this period, resulting in less ti for writing. Consider this Chapter as owed, and I promise to make up for it in the next few days! Finally, once again, let shout for monthly tickets and recomndations. It’s not to compete in the rankings, but to make the data look a little better... Please support !)

Perhaps, one day it might be useful. Eventually, soone might see these two people and report them, allowing their capture. But from their criminal investigation perspective, this is equivalent to abandoning the case and treating it as an unsolved mystery.
The day when the case is solved might be in ten days or half a month, maybe a year or two, or perhaps never at all!
Not only would the higher-ups not permit this, Chen Jianguo and his colleagues would not be satisfied, and neither would she be willing or content.
Do we really have to give up on this case?
A struggle appeared on Zeng Xiaoi’s face. She knew that if she gave up now, despite the significant pressure from above, she wouldn’t suffer any loss personally. The higher-ups would definitely find soone else to take over the responsibility for this case.
But doing so could potentially leave a permanent scar, a perpetual shadow on her soul. Her dream of becoming an excellent criminal policeman would also beco more distant!
No, I don’t believe there truly exists soone who can commit a cri without leaving any clue at all!
After struggling for a long ti, Zeng Xiaoi finally clenched her fist and overca the demon urging her to give up. Her gaze hardened once again.

"Boss, you’re back?"
When Fatty Tang saw Xiao Yi in front of him, he initially thought his eyes were playing tricks on him and rubbed them hard, only then realizing that there was no illusion and it was indeed Xiao Yi standing in front of him. A look of surprise imdiately appeared on his face, and he stood up excitedly from his chair, exclaiming.
"Yes, I’m back."
Xiao Yi smiled lightly.
Although he had resolved in his heart that no matter what, he would continue the investigation and find the killer, there were no concrete clues at the mont, so he had decided to temporarily return to attend classes at the university.
The other students in the classroom also showed a hint of surprise upon seeing Xiao Yi. Actually, Xiao Yi skipping classes wasn’t a first; it had occurred several tis before. Moreover, in a university like Z University, where managent is relatively relaxed and the atmosphere is quite free, missing a day or two of classes is quite normal.
But this ti was sowhat different. Xiao Yi had just had a conflict with Li Zhengyi in the classroom last ti and had just revealed a lot of significant gossip about Zhao Yuhua before leaving the school and not attending for several days. Everyone couldn’t help but secretly speculate whether he had encountered so issues.
So even secretly guessed that Xiao Yi had been retaliated against by Li Zhengyi, severely beaten, and was lying in a hospital, unable to return anyti soon.
Unexpectedly, Xiao Yi had returned safely and did not look like he had encountered any troubles at all.
"Boss, are all your issues resolved now?"
Fatty Tang was aware of the rumors, but he didn’t care about them at all. He simply didn’t believe that Li Zhengyi could ever beat Xiao Yi. In his eyes, Xiao Yi was an unbeatable fighter. Moreover, Xiao Yi hadn’t been at school because he had explained the reason over a phone call to him, which had nothing to do with Li Zhengyi. Seeing the looks from other people, he glanced at them disdainfully, then turned his concerned gaze back to Xiao Yi.
"Not completely resolved, but almost there."
Seeing Fatty Tang’s concerned look, Xiao Yi felt a faint touch of emotion and a friendly smile appeared on his face.
"That’s good. By the way, boss, is there anything I can help with?"
Having heard Xiao Yi’s words and seeing the relaxed expression on his face, Fatty Tang imdiately felt relieved.
"No need, you can’t help with this matter. Just focus on your studies, finals are coming up soon."
Xiao Yi smiled, shaking his head.
He couldn’t find a way to solve the case himself, so he certainly didn’t believe that Fatty Tang could find one. Moreover, as the killers involved in the case were no ordinary people, he didn’t want Fatty Tang to get involved.
"I should be saying that to you, boss. Finals are coming up; you don’t have any problems, right?"
Upon hearing Xiao Yi ntion the finals, Fatty Tang rolled his eyes and looked at Xiao Yi with so concern.
Although Z University has a very liberal academic atmosphere, with rare occurrences of roll-calls or strict demands on attendance compared to other schools, the exams are famously strict. Cheating, in particular, was never entertained; offenders were always directly expelled with no leniency whatsoever.
Xiao Yi was good at fighting, but his academic performance was unknown. By the looks of him, he didn’t seem like a studious type, often skipping classes, and he wasn’t seen in the library reading either.
"You should worry about yourself. I’m sure I won’t do worse than you."
Xiao Yi naturally knew what Fatty Tang was worried about. Although he hadn’t spent much ti on studies, as he had never planned to stay in school for long, he was not afraid of a minor final exam. When it ca down to it, he would just need to spend a bit of ti reading. With his mory and learning abilities, even if he didn’t score high, he was confident he could at least pass.
However, he didn’t explain any of this to Fatty Tang and just gave a faint smile, patting him on the shoulder.
Seeing the confident look on Xiao Yi’s face, Fatty Tang was montarily stunned and couldn’t understand where his confidence ca from. Did he study seriously at ho?
Impossible. Although it wasn’t witnessed, the boss really didn’t seem like the type to study earnestly after going ho.
Ah, right, the boss has a special relationship with Chen Jianguo. For soone like him, how could he care about a minor final exam? As long as Chen Jianguo could sort it out for him and get the teachers to let him pass, it would be a piece of cake!
Suddenly, Fatty Tang rembered sothing, smacked his head, and felt an epiphany.
"Fatty, are you alright?"
Xiao Yi hadn’t noticed Fatty Tang’s odd behavior at first, and sat down on his own. After a while, not hearing Fatty Tang speak, he turned his head, puzzled, and saw that Fatty Tang’s expression had suddenly beco strange. Concerned, he asked, as he thought back on what he had just said and felt he hadn’t said anything odd.
"It’s nothing, nothing, haha, boss, I really envy you!"
Fatty Tang ca back to his senses, waving his hand repeatedly. Now that he knew Xiao Yi wouldn’t have any problems with the exam, he no longer worried. But thinking about how he still had to face the dreaded finals and study hard without any shortcuts, he couldn’t help but look at Xiao Yi with a bit of envy.
"What are you envious of? Fatty, are you really okay?"
Xiao Yi, seeing Fatty Tang muttering about envying him, was completely baffled and couldn’t help asking.
"Nothing’s wrong, boss. I won’t talk to you through this; I, a suffering youth, need to study and review."
Fatty Tang, seeing that Xiao Yi seed to be playing dumb, thought to himself, ’Boss, oh boss, you’re really cautious, even pretending in front of .’ But since Xiao Yi didn’t say it, he naturally wouldn’t clarify. After all, he knew that such things were not very honorable to speak of, rather, they were sowhat damaging to one’s self-respect. Thinking about how Xiao Yi had his ways while he still faced a long struggle with the exam, a sense of pressure spontaneously arose, and he had no mood to continue talking with Xiao Yi. He turned away and started reading intently.
"This kid, he must not have woken up this morning."
Xiao Yi was completely puzzled and, after a while, ca back to his senses. Seeing Fatty Tang turn his head to read, he couldn’t help but curse inwardly. He decided not to bother with him anymore, sat down, and began to close his eyes slightly, rethinking and analyzing the case of Chen Jianguo’s assassination for the nth ti.
The morning classes felt long yet short for these students in the throes of pubescent growth. Having sat through them, they were ravenous by the bell’s ring, nearly all students rushing out of the classroom towards the cafeteria.
Although Xiao Yi didn’t feel as famished as them, after a morning of class and continuous contemplation which yielded no new clues, he felt sowhat frustrated and didn’t want to stay in the classroom. Just then, Fatty Tang called him to go eat, and he agreed without hesitation.
"Xiao Yi."
But just as he stood up, a cold voice rang in his ear.
"Hmm?"
At the sound of this cold voice, Xiao Yi was montarily stunned. It took him a while to regain his senses, and thinking he might have misheard, he instinctively turned his head toward Zhao Yuhua.
"I have sothing I want to talk to you about."
The look on Zhao Yuhua’s face was indifferent as she spoke to Xiao Yi, confirming that it was indeed her who called him, and he wasn’t hallucinating. (To be continued.
