He even secretly speculated, suspecting that Xiao Yi, this pervert, might have broken through to the legendary Condensation period, even surpassing his grandfather. If he didn’t know Xiao Yi was too young for it to be possible, he would have been very dubious...

With a forced laugh, he quickly stood up, ready to slip away as fast as he could.

"Hold it."

Xiao Yi watched Situ Qingfeng trying to flee as if from a plague, and couldn’t help but laugh. Was he really that frightening? Every ti, the man ran off so quickly, he seriously wanted to ask him.

What he didn’t know was that, during this period, with his guard down, he hadn’t stopped teasing Situ Qingfeng, who, by now, had developed a psychological shadow about him.

But when he thought about the serious business at hand, Xiao Yi put aside the thought of continuing to jest with Situ Qingfeng. His expression turned solemn again as he asked, "How’s the investigation going on the matter I asked you to check? Any leads?"

That day, after Situ Qingfeng ca over, Xiao Yi checked his injuries and prescribed him a dicinal concoction. Xiao Yi then roughly recounted the whole process of his case-solving, of course, leaving out so details, such as how he caught and forced confessions out of those Bone Tempering experts.

At the sa ti, he shared his analysis and clues about the organization with Situ Qingfeng and asked him to inquire and investigate, to see if he could find any information about Master Fei or other hideouts of the organization.

Before he knew it, nearly a week had gone by, so he wanted to ask Situ Qingfeng if there had been any progress.

"No, boss, those people, after the last incident, seem to have completely withdrawn and vanished without a trace. Over the past week and more, I have spread the Heavenly Net, set up a vigilant surveillance system. In the entire G Province, any slightest clue would be absolutely impossible to escape my monitoring."

Upon being questioned about serious matters, Situ Qingfeng’s face also beca severe, and turning around, he looked earnestly at Xiao Yi, reporting the situation. Since Xiao Yi told him about this, especially after hearing Xiao Yi’s speculation, Situ Qingfeng was trendously shocked. The thought of possibly dealing with an organization with a Condensation period expert terrified him. It was an extrely alarming and dangerous organization that might even pose a threat to national security, so he took the matter very seriously.

Unfortunately, though, it seed that those people had indeed completely disappeared; no matter how he investigated, he found absolutely no trace of them.

"Oh, what about Master Fei? Have you found any related information on him?"

An unusual glint appeared in Xiao Yi’s eyes.

He still felt that the key to finding the gang might lie with Master Fei, and he also had a feeling that Master Fei couldn’t have just entirely disappeared from G Province— he might very well still be in G City.

"Nope."

Situ Qingfeng shook his head, a bitter smile appearing on his face, "Boss, these days, following the clues you provided last ti, I’ve conducted a thorough search. Just in G Province alone, there are at least three hundred thousand people on record matching the description you gave. It’s simply impossible to investigate."

"Oh, then forget it, let’s take it slow, rushing won’t help anyway."

A look of disappointnt flashed across Xiao Yi’s face, but it was fleeting. He knew Situ Qingfeng spoke the truth. The information he had was too mundane, too limited to find a person in the vast sea of humanity, especially at this critical ti when that person wouldn’t just be waiting to be found and could have gone completely into hiding, making them all the harder to locate.

"Right, boss, don’t worry, I will definitely pay close attention."

Situ Qingfeng nodded then suddenly rembered sothing. Looking at Xiao Yi with a pleading face, he said, "Boss, why won’t you reveal your identity to little sister Xiaoi? Why not et her, rest assured, if you tell her, I guarantee she absolutely won’t disclose it!"

The mont he thought of Zeng Xiaoi, Situ Qingfeng felt his head swell up.

These days, I’ve been driven nearly insane by Zeng Xiaoi’s persistence. Every ti I show up in the office, or rather, every ti she sees , she sticks to like glue, demanding to et that master, that hero, and insisting that I introduce him to her, no matter what I say; she’s absolutely relentless.

But every ti I brought it up with Xiao Yi, he rejected it without hesitation, making feel caught in the middle and almost ready to jump off a building.

"No way."

Xiao Yi, without a mont’s hesitation, put his foot down and waved his hand dismissively.

Situ Qingfeng wanted to say sothing more, to keep pleading with Xiao Yi, but just then, Xiao Yi’s phone rang perfectly on cue. Hearing the ringtone, Xiao Yi imdiately picked up the phone, waved goodbye to Situ Qingfeng with a gesture, and began the conversation, ignoring him entirely.

Seeing Xiao Yi’s expression, Situ Qingfeng imdiately knew that it was probably a no-go again. But then he thought of Zeng Xiaoi’s pestering ways, even going as far as threatening to sell him out to journalists. Although he knew she wouldn’t actually follow through, it still gave him a headache. With a thick skin and a hard head, he pretended not to see Xiao Yi’s gesture of farewell, stayed put, and decided to wait for Xiao Yi to finish the call to speak with him again.

"Hello, Big Brother Xiao?"

As soon as Xiao Yi answered the phone, a sowhat childish voice ca from the other end.

"It’s . Who is this?"

Xiao Yi, recognizing the voice but unable to recall who it belonged to, paused and asked spontaneously.

"Big Brother Xiao, co on, you can’t be serious. It’s Xiaohu. Can’t believe you’ve forgotten my number?"

A sowhat frustrated voice ca through the receiver.

"Ah? Xiaohu? It’s you! I’m really sorry, I... dropped my phone, got a new one, so... What’s up? Is there sothing you need?"

Hearing Wang Xiaohu’s words and the dissatisfaction in his voice, Xiao Yi’s face inevitably flushed with an embarrassed expression. He apologized, intending to say that he forgot to save his number last ti, but at the last mont, he felt more embarrassed about that and decided to tell a small, well-aning lie. The mont he uttered the fib, his face turned red, struck by the guilt of deceiving such an innocent and adorable kid, and he quickly changed the subject.

What he didn’t realize was that in reality, he was only two or three years older than Wang Xiaohu, who was already in his second year of high school while he was in his first year of university.

"Oh, that’s what happened. Hey, Big Brother Xiao, where are you now, are you free? We haven’t seen each other for so long, I was hoping to ask you out to play."

Wang Xiaohu didn’t think too much and seed enlightened by Xiao Yi’s explanation. He blinked mischievously and asked through the phone.

Around him, several boys of similar age with boisterous looks all pricked up their ears, listening intently to Xiao Yi’s voice coming from Wang Xiaohu’s phone.

"Well, there’s not really anything going on..." Hearing that Wang Xiaohu wanted to hang out, Xiao Yi’s face took on a hesitant look. Despite his favorable impression of Xiaohu, he felt that as a student, a kid, it wasn’t quite right to go out and play with him. It seed he’d be better off encouraging him not to be so wrapped up in fun but to focus on studying and striving for improvent.

"If you’ve got nothing else, then co out and have so fun with us! I’m at school right now, didn’t you say before that you’d co visit whenever you got the chance?"

Wang Xiaohu didn’t catch the hesitation in Xiao Yi’s tone. As soon as he heard Xiao Yi say he wasn’t busy, he imdiately responded with excitent.(To be continued.
