(Here cos the third update today, and there will be more after midnight. A new week begins, and I’m itching for recomndations. For every fifty votes, I’ll add a Chapter. As long as you have votes, I’m ready to burst forth!)
"Haha, alright, let’s go inside and sit down. Co, try so of the excellent Dragon Well tea that just arrived this morning."
Han Cheng smiled, said nothing more, and led the way inside. He knew so matters were better left unsaid, as bringing them up would only lead to awkwardness for everyone. It was better to let things take their natural course.
Seeing her uncle enter, Han Lu also hurriedly gave Qian Xiaofeng a shy glance and quickly followed him in.
Qian Xiaofeng, walking at the back, observed Han Lu’s graceful figure, his eyes behind the glasses flashing with determination. He clenched his fists tightly and silently vowed, Lulu, you are mine; no one can take you away from !......
Although Han Cheng and Han Lu had said that they ran the largest antique shop in G City, and they had agreed to help him keep an eye out, he knew they probably wouldn’t deceive him. If even they didn’t have it, and the largest Antique City on Xitong Street had no related information, chances at other smaller shops were even less likely. But Xiao Yi still took advantage of a weekend to visit all of the large and small antique markets in G City.
After visiting them all, his understanding of the Han Family’s status beca clearer. True to what Han Lu had said, whether it was the smaller Antique Streets or the larger Antique City, there were branches of Han Cheng Antiques everywhere. Other than the shop on Xitong Street, most of their shops occupied nearly half the street and could be called the undisputed giants in each Antique City.
As he visited each shop, they all recomnded that he check out Han Cheng Antiques, showcasing the absolute strength of Han Cheng Antiques in G City’s antique circle.
Regrettably, after visiting all the antique markets he could find, he still hadn’t found a single clue about the information he wanted. In the end, Xiao Yi could only place his hope with the Han Family, hoping that they truly could help him find so leads. However, he also knew that the chances were slim and he couldn’t hold too much hope.
His first weekend in G City was spent wandering through antique markets, and before he knew it, it was Monday again. Though the thought of facing Zeng Xiaoxiao, that sowhat abnormal girl, gave Xiao Yi a bit of a headache, there’s an old saying: "You can hide on the first day, but not on the fifteenth." He couldn’t just skip classes indefinitely. Why else was he attending University Z? Plus, after talking with the old man last ti, he had even more reason to attend his classes.
The old man had been vague, simply telling him to go to University Z, without explaining the reason. The only clue and key point was to attend school, and attending school ant going to classes. Until the old man revealed the whole story, he still had to dutifully go to class.
After eating breakfast early, Xiao Yi, for the first ti, arrived at University Z well in advance. It must be said, the morning at University Z was quite beautiful, with a gentle breeze blowing, willows fluttering, and the morning sun shining through the dense foliage of school paths, casting strands of golden light that adorned the path. However, not many of the teachers and students hurrying to their classes on the path took the ti to appreciate this scenery, as morning classes are a headache for most.
Xiao Yi’s first class of the day was Mathematical Analysis. Mathematical Analysis, Advanced Algebra, and Spatial Analytic Geotry were the most fundantal and important courses for his major, the main focus of freshman and sophomore years, and took up two to three large lecture slots per week. Spatial Analytic Geotry would start in the second sester, while Mathematical Analysis and Advanced Algebra began in the first sester. Each occupied a substantial amount of ti from Tuesday to Thursday.
Even though they were all courses in the sa subject, the locations for the classes were different. Wednesday’s class was in an old building in the Western District, while Monday’s class was in a new and stylishly designed building in the Eastern District, newly built by the school. Coming from the west gate, which Xiao Yi often used, he had to cross almost half the campus.
For students of the Mathematics Departnt living in the Western Residential Area, this class was sowhat frustrating. Walking there would take at least half an hour, aning they had to get up at least thirty minutes earlier and walk to class with tired legs early in the morning. However, for Xiao Yi, this distance was naturally no issue at all. If he wanted to hurry, he could reach the classroom door in just a few minutes.
But today, having arrived at school early and with ti to spare before class, he was in no rush to get to the classroom. So he simply took his ti strolling and enjoying the morning on campus.
"Bosses... what... what are you going to do... ah, bosses, I was wrong... I was really wrong..."
Slowly wandering toward the eastern district, just as he was about to reach the academic building where classes were held, suddenly a familiar voice reached his ears from a lush green strip to the side.
Xiao Yi couldn’t help but stop in his tracks. That voice, wasn’t it Fatty Tang’s?
While puzzled, a sinister voice rang out, "You know you’re wrong now? Heh heh, weren’t you pretty tough last week, huh? Holding two bricks in your hand, that posture, tsk tsk... I’m saying, Fatty Tang, how co I never realized before just how capable you are?"
"Brother Li, why waste so much breath on this fatso? Just beat him to death."
A crude and impatient voice followed.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Yi’s brow raised slightly, and without hesitation, he turned around and quickly walked toward the source of the sound.
On the grass, Fatty Tang looked at Gao Junjie and his three nacing companions, feeling extre fear in his heart. All weekend, he had holed up at ho, not daring to go out. He ca to school extra early this morning precisely to avoid Gao Junjie, but he hadn’t expected to be cornered by them nonetheless.
Thinking of the ruthless way Gao Junjie and those bastards had dealt with others who had stood up to them, and considering that last weekend he had, in an act of utter brainlessness, gone to help Xiao Yi, he had truly beco an outright enemy to them. His legs started to tremble.
He regretted not slapping himself several tis. What was he thinking trying to play the hero? Even if he was kicked in the head by a donkey, he should never have confronted Gao Junjie. Moreover, as it turned out, Xiao Yi didn’t need his help at all, and now here he was, having unnecessarily provoked The Four Big Bullies.
Seeing the muscular Wang Qiang already sneering as he took steps toward him, and the tall and lean Li Han also approaching with a sinister smile, he hurriedly begged for rcy, "Brother Wang, Brother Li, please... don’t do this... Rember our past friendship... give a chance, I... promise... I will never dare again."
"You rember we used to be friends? I’m going to beat the two-faced likes of you!"
Seeing how weak Fatty Tang was acting, Wang Qiang felt a satisfaction surge within him, releasing the frustration that had been bottled up since encountering Xiao Yi. Exhilarated by this release and to make it even more complete, along with a gratifying curse, he threw a fierce punch right at Fatty Tang’s face.
"You said you wouldn’t dare last ti, and what happened? Damn, I gave you a chance, but who gave one?"
The tall and lean Li Han also laughed coldly, completely ignoring Fatty Tang’s pleas for rcy. He lifted his leg and, in tandem with Wang Qiang’s punch, kicked him in the abdon.
