Xiao Yi slapped his thigh forcefully, his face suddenly radiating excitent. He felt as though the problem that had been troubling him had been suddenly and completely cleared up. "Have you decided what to get her?"

When Liu Jingling saw Xiao Yi, dusty and worn, entering the door with big and small bags of dicinal herbs, she was stunned.
But before she could ask anything, Xiao Yi spoke first, "Miss Liu, I need to trouble you again today, to lend a hand."
"What is it?"
Liu Jingling hastily responded.
"Help find so containers to store these herbs, then help sort them out,"
Xiao Yi said as he set the herbs aside and chuckled.
"Oh."
Although Liu Jingling really wanted to ask Xiao Yi what he was up to, she held off after hearing his request, hurried to the kitchen, brought back a stack of bowls and dishes, set them up on the table as Xiao Yi had asked, then with a puzzled look on her face, inquired, "Mr. Xiao, weren’t you going out to buy costics? Why did you bring back so many herbs? Didn’t you say my wound had mostly healed and that I wouldn’t need to continue dication after those two doses?"
"Buy costics?"
Xiao Yi was startled for a mont, then, upon hearing Liu Jingling’s words, realized she had misunderstood him. He couldn’t help but smile and explained, "Miss Liu, you’ve misunderstood. These herbs aren’t for you to take; I didn’t plan to buy costics. I bought these to make the ointnt, hehe."
"Make ointnt?"
"It’s what you call costics, for skincare and beautification."
Xiao Yi laughed, feeling that ’ointnt’ might be hard to understand and perhaps didn’t sound as appealing, and explained again.
"You’re going to make costics yourself?"
Liu Jingling was stunned for a mont, it took her a while to regain her senses, looking at Xiao Yi in front of her, observing his serious and focused expression as he handled the dicinal herbs. Her mouth agape, she was almost able to fit an egg in her mouth.
She had never heard of soone gifting costics that they had made themselves before.
