"Boss..."
Just as Xiao Yi was lost in thought, Fatty Tang’s sowhat urgent and panicky voice rang out.
"Fatty, what’s wrong?"
Hearing Fatty Tang’s voice, Xiao Yi quickly snapped out of his reverie, turned his head, and looked in the direction of the sound. As he turned around, he imdiately saw Fatty Tang, who was looking flustered and rushing toward him, and a look of surprise appeared in his eyes. "Why do you seem so flustered today?"
"Boss, didn’t you say last ti to arrange a eting with my dad and mom, and you’d help persuade them to accept Li Ling?"
Fatty Tang looked anxiously at Xiao Yi.
"Ah, right, that’s correct. What’s up? Have you arranged it? When, and where are they now?"
Hearing Fatty Tang’s words, he imdiately understood why Fatty Tang was so anxious and smiled slightly.
"Hmm, after you left that day, I talked to them, but they have been really busy. It seems like they’re negotiating a big business deal recently. They just called and said they would be at Jianguo Square today for business and asked us to wait for them there. Do you have ti now? Shall we go over together?"
Fatty Tang nodded emphatically, his eyes showing a hint of anxiety and urgency.
"That urgent? All right then."

Xiao Yi pondered silently in his heart and gradually cald down, looking at Fatty Tang’s uneasy appearance and thought to himself.
"Yes, boss, I know that with you taking care of it, it will certainly be handled. I’m sorry to trouble you, let’s go now?"
After hearing Xiao Yi’s comforting words, Fatty Tang’s nervousness eased slightly, and a grateful look appeared on his face.
"What’s the point of saying such things between us? Wait a mont; I’ll go into the classroom to grab my bag."
Xiao Yi gave Fatty Tang a slightly annoyed look, then turned around and headed towards the classroom. Shortly after, he picked up his very distinctive cloth bag and walked out from the classroom, smiled at Fatty Tang, and said, "Let’s go."
Jianguo Square was so distance away from University Z. Although Fatty Tang’s family was well off, due to his parents’ strict control, Fatty Tang didn’t flaunt his wealth like other rich kids by driving around campus. He was still without a car, so upon exiting the campus, he directly hailed a taxi and rushed to Jianguo Square, which took almost an hour to reach.
Fatty Tang had been worried all the way that he might be late, that by the ti he got there, his parents would already be waiting for him. However, when he arrived at the agreed spot, he received a call from his parents asking him to wait a bit longer as they still had so errands to run.
"Fatty, like this, you wait here for a bit, I’m going to check sothing out over there."
Xiao Yi, upon hearing what Fatty relayed about his parents possibly needing so more ti, perhaps half an hour more before they would arrive, glanced at the Jianguo Building in the distance across the street and said to Fatty Tang imdiately.
Being so close to the Jianguo Building, he thought of Li Xiaoi and her husband Wang Dawei, wanting to visit them to see how they were coping at work. Although Liu Yuan also told him the other day that Wang Dawei was doing quite well, he hadn’t seen for himself or heard it from the man himself, and a few days had passed by now.
"Ah?"
Fatty Tang was taken aback, not expecting Xiao Yi to leave now, and his face couldn’t help but show a hint of worry.
"Fatty, don’t worry, I’m just going there to casually check on a friend. I’ll be back in a bit. "Rest assured."
Xiao Yi smiled, gave him a reassuring look, and then turned to leave the upscale Western restaurant located opposite Jianguo Square, where he had arranged to et with Fatty Tang’s parents.
Jianguo Building!
Xiao Yi looked up to see those four gleaming golden characters atop his head, gazing at the towering Jianguo Building that rose into the clouds with its extraordinary aura, and couldn’t help but feel a bit sentintal.
Although he did not co here every ti, whenever he visited this skyscraper, he always had different reflections.
The security at the building did not stop him from entering; after the previous incident where Xiao Yi was stopped at the Jingyue Pavilion restaurant on the top floor, Chen Jianguo had clearly bolstered the managent in this area.
Even so, Xiao Yi was dressed in very casual and simple leisurewear, yet when he entered the building, the security personnel still bowed to him.
"Miss, hello, could you please contact Chairman Chen Jianguo for ?"
Once inside the building, Xiao Yi went straight to the front desk and said to the receptionist there.
He had no idea which departnt Wang Dawei and Li Xiaoi were in. He didn’t even have their phone numbers stored and would need to go through Wang Qingqing to get their numbers.
He didn’t want to contact Wang Qingqing, or rather, disturb her, so the only direct approach was to find Chen Jianguo directly. Since it was him who arranged everything, he would definitely know.
