"Lord Hong, it’s terrible!"
As soon as Sun Hao saw Lord Hong, he couldn’t care about anything else, and even forgot about his apprehension towards Lord Hong. He rushed over quickly and grabbed his hand with a panicked expression.
"What on earth is wrong with you, all this panic and fuss?"
Lord Hong glared at him with dissatisfaction, furrowed his brow, and discreetly pulled his hand away to free it from the other’s grasp.
"Lord Hong, I... I saw Xiao Yi!"
When Sun Hao was brushed off by Lord Hong, he imdiately realized his own impropriety, his face blushing instantly. But at that mont, he couldn’t afford to think about these things. He spoke urgently, voice full of panic.
"What!"
Upon hearing Sun Hao’s words, Lord Hong exclaid in surprise, and a powerful aura burst forth from him. His eyes glittered with a sharp light as he looked at Sun Hao. "What did you just say?"
"I... I saw Xiao Yi! Truly, I saw it with my own eyes! Xiao Yi isn’t dead!"
Sun Hao, under the intimidating gaze of Lord Hong, imdiately felt an imnse pressure, his mind trembling violently. With great effort, he barely cald down and anxiously looked at Lord Hong. "Didn’t Master Lin say that Xiao Yi was sure to die?"
"Are you sure, the person you saw was Xiao Yi?"
Lord Hong observed the expression on Sun Hao’s face, which didn’t seem like he was lying, and his own expression beca grave.
"I’m certain, utterly sure! Lord Hong, you should know how deeply Xiao Yi impressed . Even if he turned to ash, I wouldn’t mistake him! Just now, near the university’s western restaurant entrance, I saw him with my own eyes. That silhouette, I can say with a hundred percent certainty, was unquestionably Xiao Yi!"
Sun Hao said with a wry smile.
"How... How is that possible!"
Seeing the look on Sun Hao’s face, Lord Hong’s gaze revealed an expression of utter disbelief. He knew Master Lin’s identity and was aware that Master Lin would never casually deceive him for no reason. There was no need to lie to them. Even if he hadn’t killed Xiao Yi, they would have no place to comnt.
Moreover, he was very clear about Master Lin’s strength. That day, before he had even taken action, using only his imposing aura, he had nearly hurt him!
The kid had clashed with Master Lin and Master Lin was severely injured. How could the kid possibly not be dead?
Could it be that his strength surpassed even Master Lin’s? That was utterly impossible. Even if he had started cultivating from his mother’s womb and had extraordinary opportunities, he couldn’t have achieved greater strength than Master Lin at such a young age!
"Creak!"
While he stood there shocked and incredulous, the sound of a door opening suddenly rang out.
The door, which had remained shut since that day, suddenly opened, and with it, a haggard-looking man walked out from the room.
"Master... Master Lin?"
Hearing the sound of the door, both of their gazes imdiately shifted towards the room. Seeing the person who walked out, Sun Hao couldn’t control his emotions and exclaid in shock, his eyes filled with imnse astonishnt.
At the door stood a man with wrinkled face, tiredness etched into his features, silver hair, and pale skin. He looked like an old man who had been sick and bedridden for a long ti, frail and weak as he exited the room.
If he had not known that there had always been only one person inside this room, he would never have believed that the person before him was the sa Master Lin who looked to be about fifty years old, calm and collected, yet had an air of enigmatic and commanding presence.
"Master Lin!"
Seeing the Master Lin in front of him, Lord Hong’s heart also trembled violently.
"Did you just say you saw Xiao Yi?"
Master Lin seed oblivious to the unusual look in their eyes and the tone of their voices. His gaze was fixed on Sun Hao, and as he spoke, a sudden fierceness flashed in his eyes, which had lost much of their prior vitality.
"Yes... Yes! I had arranged to et Qingqing for a Western al, and then, right at the restaurant entrance, I saw him. He was having a confrontation with so people, fighting."
Sun Hao, under his intense scrutiny, imdiately felt a tightening in his mind, hastily recounting what he had seen.
eting the old man’s gaze, he couldn’t help but be deeply shaken, realizing that although the old man looked this way, his glare was still terrifying.
"You’re saying he was fighting?"
Master Lin’s mouth twitched sharply, his withered hands suddenly grabbing Sun Hao’s shoulders.
"Ah! Yes... Yes."
An excruciating pain, as if piercing through to his very soul, instantly reached his brain, and he let out an uncontrollable scream until the old man, realizing his overreaction, released his shoulders, to which he responded with a trembling voice.
"Are you certain?"
"I... am certain!"
Watching Master Lin’s gaze that seed like that of a venomous snake, Sun Hao couldn’t help but hesitate. After pondering for a mont, though, he gritted his teeth and said he absolutely trusted his own eyes. Despite feeling that Master Lin disliked this piece of news, he realized that placating him with lies might lead to an even more tragic outco in the future.
Even though it might annoy him now, he was telling the truth.
"Impossible, how could he still be alive!"
Master Lin stared intently at Sun Hao for a while, and upon seeing his certainty, his figure involuntarily took a step back, shaking his head vigorously with a look of disbelief on his face, "I clearly destroyed all of that boy’s ridians and damaged all his internal organs severely, how could he possibly be revived? Even if he was lucky enough to have Top-Level Divine dicine to barely save him, he would only be a cripple confined to a bed!"
Sun Hao looked at Master Lin’s expression, wanting to say sothing, but after giving it so thought, he chose not to speak.
"Tell exactly what you saw just now, leave no detail out!"
After a bout of muttering to himself, Master Lin finally ca back to his senses, his gaze once again fixed sternly on Sun Hao.
"Yes... yes, it was like this..."
Seeing Master Lin’s expression, where could Sun Hao dare to delay? He quickly narrated what he had seen, including why he went there and even the exact ti he arrived.
"Those n he knocked down, do you recognize any of them? Go check on them imdiately, see if you can find them and ask what really happened!"
After listening to Sun Hao’s account, Master Lin’s complexion began to shift, his eyes were filled with an expression of profound shock and his heart was almost certain that about eighty percent of what Sun Hao had said might well be true.
Still, he spoke to Sun Hao with a hint of hope lingering on.
It was incredibly unbelievable, not only because of his confidence in his own strength but more importantly, his mory of the engagent with Xiao Yi that day was deeply etched in his mind, as Xiao Yi’s power had left him with a trendous shock!
During that exchange, he had directly felt the state of Xiao Yi’s condition.
"Yes, one of them, I think I’ve seen him before, he seems to be... the son of Deputy Mayor Gao, I will contact him right away."
Sun Hao eagerly nodded continuously, recalling the appearance of those youths he had seen before, his expression contemplative for a mont, then his face revealed a hint of pleasant surprise as he spoke.
"Good, go handle it right away!"
Master Lin nodded.
"Yes, Master Lin, if there’s nothing else, I’ll go take care of this matter now."
Sun Hao quickly nodded, speaking with caution.
"Go, tell as soon as you have news."
Master Lin waved his hand, looking tired.
"Master Lin, you..."
Once Sun Hao had left, Lord Hong’s face imdiately revealed a worried look as he turned towards Master Lin.
"I’m fine, it’s just that my injuries haven’t healed yet. I didn’t expect that Xiao Yi’s True Qi would be so domineering. Just a tiny strand of his True Qi managed to severely injure three of my major ridians."
Master Lin gave a slight wave of his hand, coughing once as he spoke.
"Master Lin, should we get in touch with Glass City..."
"No need, once I’ve cleared this up, I’ll imdiately return to Glass City. We’ll see when I get back."
A fierce light once again flitted across Master Lin’s eyes, "I cannot believe that just because of that Lunatic Monk, he could have really brought that Xiao back to life!"
After speaking, he seed to beco more confident in his own words, and his expression grew more resolute.
Watching the determination on Master Lin’s face, Lord Hong couldn’t help but agree, "Indeed, Master Lin, I also don’t believe the lad could’ve survived; even if he started to cultivate from the womb and had both great Opportunity and talent, being so young and already reaching the Condensation period is impressive enough. With his strength, he definitely couldn’t have withstood your strike that day."
"Mm, go find so of these dicinal herbs, rember, they must be of the best quality."
Master Lin nodded, fully agreeing with Lord Hong’s opinion. In truth, he had already assessed that Xiao Yi’s strength that day was clearly that of soone who had just entered the Condensation period.
However, he didn’t elaborate further to Lord Hong; after nodding his head, he took out a piece of paper and passed it over to him.
"Please, rest assured, Master Lin, I will personally find the best quality dicinal herbs available."
Lord Hong respectfully took the list of herbs, glanced at it, carefully folded it, and said earnestly.
"You have worked hard these days! Go now!"
A satisfied look appeared in Master Lin’s eyes, a hint of weariness on his face as he waved his hand.
"Yes!"
Upon hearing Master Lin’s words, an irrepressible excitent flickered across Lord Hong’s face. Although Master Lin’s words were simple, he knew that by saying them, Master Lin had taken note of him in his heart, and his efforts over the days had paid off! (To be continued.
