Although he wasn’t a doctor, he still knew so common sense, that Western dicine was simpler and easier to learn than traditional Chinese dicine and could be practiced by younger doctors. However, traditional Chinese dicine usually involved older practitioners, often referred to as old traditional Chinese dicine doctors.
No wonder they say, ’You’re not a doctor if you’re not old!’
So young, yet studying traditional Chinese dicine, what could he possibly learn?
Moreover, he didn’t even graduate from a famous dical university, nor was he trained by any renowned old masters. Could he really be reliable?
"Mr. Ma, rest assured, I have my dical ethics and professional conduct. I stake my reputation on it, I will not take any patient’s safety as a joke. I trust Xiao Yi because I have my reasons and will not act recklessly!"
As Mr. Ma’s mood continued to sink, Dr. Zhang had already continued speaking with an assertive tone.
Seeing Mr. Ma’s skeptical look, he already sensed sothing was amiss. He did not wish to repeat the sa scene that happened earlier with Elder An in front of Xiao Yi, how would he face him? Moreover, he had absolute, one hundred percent confidence in Xiao Yi.
The impression left on him by the accident involving Wang Xiaohu last ti was simply too profound!
And the condition of this patient was far from being as critical as Wang Xiaohu’s situation last ti!
"Mr. Ma, I guarantee with the highest credibility of a doctor that if anything unexpected happens to the patient, I will bear all the consequences myself!"
As soon as Dr. Zhang finished his statent, everyone’s faces showed a jolt of emotion, and Xiao Yi looked at Dr. Zhang with a shocked expression, feeling a surge of emotion. He never expected Dr. Zhang to trust him so much. His mouth moved slightly, as if he wanted to say sothing, but he remained silent. Instead, he just gave Dr. Zhang a firm, determined look.
So things are more reliable when done than said. Right now, the best way he could repay Dr. Zhang was to cure the patient’s illness later on.
Mr. Ma also looked at Dr. Zhang incredulously, wondering how he could make such an astonishing statent. He felt it incredibly unbelievable, and his eyes swept over Xiao Yi repeatedly, struck with amazent. What extraordinary qualities did this young man possess? Could this youth really be a talented genius with special skills? Did Dr. Zhang truly trust him that much?
You should know that what Dr. Zhang said was of great significance; it was as if he was putting all his reputation and future prospects on the line for this young man. Should anything go awry with the young man, not only would Dr. Zhang face massive financial compensation, but he might also be unable to continue his dical practice.
He ca here seeking dical attention and directly approached Dr. Zhang, so naturally, he was familiar with him. He knew that the doctor was a star specialist, not only famous in G Province but also enjoying a significant reputation nationwide, a doctor and specialist with genuine expertise. And even on a global scale, his dical skills were quite remarkable. Nowadays, it is rare for such truly talented specialists to return to the country.
A person like him, whether in terms of prospects or career, was on a very promising upward trajectory, with a bright future ahead...
What’s more important, from what he understood, this doctor indeed had excellent dical ethics. Every patient he had treated had nothing but top-notch reviews and esteem for him; he absolutely would not treat a patient’s life as a joke...
So...
"Hmph, nice words, but can you bear the responsibility?"
As Mr. Ma was about to speak, the man in the gray suit interrupted with a sneer.
"What do you an?"
Dr. Zhang’s expression suddenly changed, and he glared coldly at the man in the gray suit, "Are you questioning ?"
After speaking, Dr. Zhang turned to Mr. Ma and said, "Mr. Ma, if you doubt my abilities, then please find another doctor. I refuse to accept this treatnt!"
"Who do you think you are? You say you won’t treat and that’s that? You..."
"Shut up!"
The man in the gray suit did not expect Dr. Zhang to react so strongly or to say such words, and his face darkened imdiately as he began to yell. But after only one sentence, he was cut off by a furious shout.
"Mr. Ma, he’s too presumptuous..."
The man in the gray suit, hearing Mr. Ma’s words, imdiately bowed his head, still pointing at Dr. Zhang with an indignant expression on his face.
"Shut up!"
Mr. Ma let out another stern shout, casting an icy glance at him.
Feeling the gaze of Mr. Ma, the man in the gray suit knew Mr. Ma was truly angry and quickly lowered his head, not daring to utter another word.
"Dr. Zhang, I’m really sorry, my subordinate is ignorant. If any offense was caused, please forgive us. I didn’t an any disrespect to you; if I didn’t trust you, I wouldn’t have gone through the trouble of finding you from so far away," Mr. Ma apologized.
Mr. Ma saw the man in the gray suit fall silent and hang his head, then turned and faced Dr. Zhang with a serious and sincere expression, "My father’s illness, I must trouble Dr. Zhang to help, but as you know, my father’s condition is very troubleso. As his son, I must be careful and cautious. Dr. Zhang, about this Doctor Xiao, I admittedly don’t know much about him. Are you sure that Doctor Xiao can help my father?"
"Mr. Ma, I wouldn’t casually recomnd soone, especially in this case. I am confident in recomnding Xiao Yi because I am sure he can help your father. Let be clear now, without Xiao Yi’s help, I wouldn’t dare to perform the surgery on your father. You know, heart issues are very problematic and carry a lot of risks, especially for the elderly," Dr. Zhang replied with a sowhat eased expression, reaffirming his statent to Mr. Ma.
"Alright, then I’ll have to trouble Dr. Zhang and Doctor Xiao."
Mr. Ma pondered for a while, seemingly struggling with his thoughts. After so ti, he suddenly lifted his head as if he had made a significant decision, nodding earnestly at the two doctors.
"Mr. Ma, rest assured, I will do my utmost to save your father," Xiao Yi said as he looked at Mr. Ma’s expression and nodded. He wasn’t too upset about Mr. Ma’s recent skepticism, as he understood that cautiousness was appropriate concerning the life and safety of his father.
Seeing the earnest expression on Mr. Ma’s face, he sincerely nodded back.
"Thank you, I’m counting on you!"
Mr. Ma, looking at the sincere look in Xiao Yi’s eyes, relaxed slightly and nodded.
Mr. Ma’s father was staying in a super VIP room at the Provincial People’s Hospital. When they entered, the old man was lying on the bed with two nurses massaging him, and a woman in her forties, emanating an air of elegant nobility, carefully peeling a fruit and chatting with the elder.
The mont Xiao Yi entered the room, his gaze fell on the old man lying in the bed. The elder looked sowhat withered, bearing the typical symptoms of a long-term heart disease patient – his face lacked color, and he seed feeble and breathless.
"You’re back?"
The woman stood up surprised as she saw Mr. Ma and the others coming in, her eyes scanned the group, and then she spoke to Mr. Ma. The old man had noticed the visitors too but said nothing and simply nodded.
"Yes."
Mr. Ma nodded at the woman and then turned his gaze respectfully to the elder, "Father, Dr. Zhang and I have discussed it, and he has a treatnt plan. We are going to arrange surgery for you now. What do you think?"
"Mr. Ma, Elder Mr. Ma’s illness might not require surgery," Xiao Yi suddenly interjected before the elder could answer.
"Doctor Xiao? What do you an?"
Everyone’s eyes shifted to Xiao Yi, with Mr. Ma looking at him in surprise.
"Xiao Yi?"
Dr. Zhang also looked at Xiao Yi with a worried expression on his face.
"I feel that the elder is not in a suitable condition for surgery at the mont. Moreover, his current condition doesn’t necessarily require an operation. It might be possible to cure him directly without surgery. Elder Mr. Ma, may I take your pulse?" Xiao Yi reassured Dr. Zhang with a comforting look, gently patted his shoulder, and then earnestly turned to the old man, expressing his request. He had noticed sothing from the elder’s outward appearance, but he needed to check his pulse to be sure.
"Jun, who is this?"
Instead of responding to Xiao Yi, the elder looked sharply at Mr. Ma beside him.
"Dad, let introduce you. This is Doctor Xiao, a practitioner of traditional Chinese dicine and a friend of Dr. Zhang. His dical skills are top-notch," Mr. Ma quickly introduced Xiao Yi to his father. Xiao Yi was Dr. Zhang’s friend, but whether his dical expertise was as remarkable as claid, Mr. Ma was not entirely sure and still harbored so doubts. His voice clearly faltered as he spoke.
Then, turning back quickly and with a mix of surprise and nervousness, he asked Xiao Yi, "Doctor Xiao, are you sure about what you just said?"
Xiao Yi’s statent had shocked Mr. Ma profoundly. If his father could be cured without needing surgery, it would be incredibly good news. Even if the surgery was successful, it would still inevitably affect the old man’s health!
And despite Dr. Zhang’s assurance, Mr. Ma was still apprehensive. After all, it was a risky surgery for soone of his father’s advanced age.
At that mont, he sincerely hoped that Xiao Yi was a true miracle worker with genuine expertise.
