"You..."

Li Zijie, listening to Xiao Yi’s words full of mockery, and seeing the obvious sneer on his face—an unmasked contempt—then looking at those young masters still clutching their limbs and groaning incessantly, felt his cheeks burn with heat, his complexion flushed red. He wanted to muster the courage to say sothing defiantly, but in the end, he still lacked the courage to speak up.

"I don’t care who you are, what background you have, or how arrogant you usually are, but I warn you, it’s best not to ss with . I, for one, do not like to harass others, nor do I enjoy being harassed. If you provoke again, I won’t be as easygoing as today!"

Xiao Yi didn’t give him the chance to continue speaking, nor did he have the patience to wait for Li Zijie to stutter through his words. In an instant, the mocking smile on his face disappeared, his gaze suddenly turned cold, and his tone felt as if it had dropped to freezing point, emitting a bone-chilling aura.

After speaking, he kicked out gently at Li Zijie.

Although he didn’t intend to truly take issue with a clown like Li Zijie, especially in this public setting, he had no intention of letting him off the hook easily—not today’s true instigator. Besides, so people need to ’taste sweetness’ to rember certain things and words more profoundly.

"You..."

Li Ziming hadn’t expected Xiao Yi to actually lash out without any warning, without any sign at all. He didn’t have the slightest chance to react before he felt a massive force and a piercing pain in his ribs.

Imdiately after, his body was sent flying through the air, crashing towards the young master who had been the closest, the most enthusiastic in heeding his call, the first to rush at Xiao Yi, and the most forceful with his strikes.

In the mont he was hurled through the air, deep resentnt and unwillingness flashed in his eyes. He almost blurted out, "But you said you wouldn’t hit !" However, when the words reached his throat, he forcibly swallowed them back.

He suddenly realized that the statent referred to hitting, which can be interpreted broadly or narrowly—broadly including kicks, narrowly aning only using hands to attack. Xiao Yi had not specified whether his use of the word was broad or narrow when he said it. Thus, kicking him did not contradict his words!

"Smack!"

In the midst of this realization, his body crashed solidly onto his companion, who was fervently clutching his hand, desperately shaking it, groaning continuously in hopes of easing the pain. His companion hadn’t been paying attention to the situation at hand and, accompanied by the impact of Li Zijie’s body, found himself sprawled on the ground with a loud smack, his pain, which had only slightly subsided a mont ago, intensifying once again.

Li Zijie was not much better off. Although his companion took so of the force, he didn’t absorb it completely. His body didn’t land fully on his companion’s back; in the end, he fell solidly onto the concrete floor. And though his initial posture might have fared him slightly better, after being partially blocked by his companion’s back, he ended up on all fours like a dog lying in its own ss, his whole body burning with acute pain.

It took a while for him to get up, looking around at all the gazes, the pointing fingers, and the whispering voices, the sharp pain on his previously untouched and therefore safest face, now feeling even more searing than any of the other aches he had suffered across his body.

"Jie, are you alright?"

The woman standing beside him looked at Li Zijie as he stood up, and only then did she suddenly realize what was happening and quickly walked over to him, asking with concern.

"I’m fine."

Li Zijie shook off her hand as she tried to support him, his gaze filled with bitter venom as he stared at the retreating figure of Xiao Yi, who had coolly turned to leave after kicking him. His fist clenched tightly.

You little bastard, I won’t let you get away with this!

At this mont, he had completely forgotten the warning words Xiao Yi had given him. In his entire life, he had never been humiliated like this, never lost face like this. This was an affront Li Zijie could not and would not swallow!

Even if you’re a good fighter, I refuse to believe we can’t take you down!

Even if you really are so kind of Bone Tempering Period master, I will still take care of you. I don’t believe that your bones can be harder than bullets!

Li Zijie clenched his fists tightly, the venomous glare in his eyes shining fiercely!

No one noticed that among the crowd, a young man about twenty years old with a neat buzz cut, unremarkable in appearance, dressed in casual denim and a white T-shirt, glanced indifferently at Li Zijie’s resentful face, his eyes flashing a faint sneer before swiftly leaving the crowd, following in the direction Xiao Yi had just departed.

After kicking Li Zijie, Xiao Yi couldn’t care less about Li Zijie’s fate and turned to head back towards Azure Waterfront.

At the sa ti, his thoughts instantly shifted back to the gains of the day. Minor annoyances like Li Zijie were not worth occupying his mind.

However, the thought of today’s haul at the library brought an involuntary look of helplessness to his face.

The day’s gains were far from insignificant, essentially a substantial lesson in knowledge about Z University. He had learned a lot, including background information on the university’s establishnt and various interesting stories from its history. Now, he could easily serve as a superb lecturer for freshn detailing the school’s history.

Unfortunately, he hadn’t found any of the information he was actually looking for.

For instance, who exactly is Beichen Feng, and where does his pride co from? And why would such a proud person, especially soone at the Bone Tempering Period, condescend to be just an ordinary teacher at Z University?

He did find so material on Beichen Feng, but the information provided was almost as good as having none—it was not of great benefit and didn’t differ much from what he already knew. The only new piece of information was that Beichen Feng had graduated from Z University, studying his bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. there before going abroad to MIT, the most renowned institute of technology in White Tiger Country, for his post-doctorate. He perford well at MIT, and afterward, decisively refused offers from several high-quality international institutions, choosing to return to Z University to teach. (To be continued.
