He had originally thought that he might need to find an opportunity to do a few more favors for them before he could possibly get a response. Yet he didn’t expect to achieve his goal so quickly. His heart couldn’t help but be filled with imnse gratitude for this student nad Xiao Yi.

It seed that Young Master Gao and his crew really had a bone to pick with this kid nad Xiao Yi. If not for this, Young Master Gao probably wouldn’t have satisfied him so quickly!

Seeing the look on Zhang Wudao’s face, Gao Junjie’s lips curled into a slight smile. This ti, not only had he taken care of that bumpkin, but he had also secured a decent backup. He knew that from now on, Z University would be his playground, just like his previous schools had been, where he could do whatever he wanted.

......

The news of Xiao Yi’s expulsion caused a trendous uproar among the first-year students of the Mathematics Departnt; likening it to a massive earthquake wasn’t an overstatent at all!

Everyone had just gone through ten long years of hard study to get into university. Although at this age, everyone had already lost the pure innocence of middle school and had started to vaguely sense the influence of power and wealth—so even displaying a bit of snobbery, currying favor and fearing those said to have powerful backgrounds—they had never really felt the force of power from such close quarters before.

This incident with Xiao Yi undoubtedly served as a lesson to all the students, as Gao Junjie and the Four Young Evil Masters vividly and truly demonstrated that privileges in this world aren’t a myth, but incredibly specific and real, and the power of authority so terrifying.

As for the events in the Mathematics Departnt, it was clear to everyone that Xiao Yi’s expulsion was entirely orchestrated by Gao Junjie and the Four Young Evil Masters. A fight? Give a break. When had the school ever cared about fights before? Why bring it up after so much ti? And had the Four Young Evil Masters fought less than Xiao Yi? Xiao Yi had rely kicked them a few tis, whereas when they beat up others, they did so viciously, with who knows how many left injured or crippled. Why didn’t anyone step in then?

Sitting in the classroom, most were ordinary people. Aside from a rare few geniuses, every single person had strived incredibly hard, puzzling over exercise after exercise under the dim light of a desk lamp deep into the night, sweating profusely to gain admission to this top university. Everyone hoped to learn sothing worthwhile at this school and to leverage its reputation to change their fate in the future.

Yet these ignorant and worthless heirs could shatter a student’s simple dream of attending university—attained through such hard work—just through their casual banter.

While so took pleasure in the misfortune of others, the majority of students couldn’t help but feel a sense of shared sorrow. They all felt how fragile everything about them was, even their dreams. Xiao Yi was just the first to fall, but who knew who would be next?

And this complex mix of fear and helplessness made them even more intimidated by the Four Young Evil Masters. Everyone tiptoed around them, fearing a misstep might provoke the masters’ wrath and result in becoming the next Xiao Yi, ruining their own prospects.

Everyone imdiately marked Zhao Yuhua as off-limits, aware that she was liked by the Four Young Evil Masters. A misunderstanding that they had designs on Zhao Yuhua could spell disaster. Nobody was willing to throw away their future for a beauty who was utterly out of reach.

Just like Zhao Yuhua, Xiao Yi was also imdiately added to the no-go list. Everyone knew this guy was an enemy of the Four Young Evil Masters. Getting too close to him could lead to being labeled as Xiao Yi’s friend by the masters, a tragedy likely no less than getting involved with Zhao Yuhua.

Of course, having always been close to Xiao Yi, Fatty Tang, who was oblivious to the danger, was naturally categorized by everyone as a person to be wary of.

On the first afternoon, just after learning about the situation, he had been cultivating himself in class, and then Fatty Tang dragged him out as soon as the class was over. Xiao Yi didn’t feel that much at first, but the next day when he stepped into the classroom, he imdiately sensed the odd ostracism from the other students.

Seeing how each of them looked at him as if he were a snake or scorpion and the expressions on their faces which seed to desperately show that they didn’t want to be associated with him, putting on an incredibly indifferent front, Xiao Yi couldn’t help but pause. He thought sothing had happened, and it took him a long while to realize what was going on. He couldn’t help but smile wryly, shook his head, paid them no attention, and turned around to walk into the classroom on his own.

He didn’t feel any disdain for their behavior. Be it disdain or any other negative emotion, it all stemd from caring, but he had never cared about them, so how could he feel aversion?

Gao Junjie and the Four Young Evil Masters also felt the change in how the other students in the classroom viewed them, sensing the awe in the looks they received, feeling the silent trepidation around them. That long-lost sensation had finally returned to them. Their entire bodies felt indescribably comfortable; their eyebrows seed to arch a bit higher, their steps lighter, endowed with a buoyant feeling. When they entered the classroom, their chests puffed out even more.

"Boss, where should we sit?"

Wang Qiang walked into the classroom with his head held high and chest out. He didn’t notice Xiao Yi seated at his desk and asked Gao Junjie.

Gao Junjie hadn’t yet noticed Xiao Yi’s position either. When he heard Wang Qiang’s question, he instinctively looked in the direction of Xiao Yi’s seat. Zhao Yuhua was also sitting there, and if that annoying guy Xiao Yi hadn’t co back, he would have been able to take the seat instead.

However, when his gaze shifted over, his previously elated mood plumted from midair, and the charming smile on his face turned gloomy in an instant.

Zhao Yuhua was already sitting inside the classroom. Her face, as always, seed covered with a layer of faint frost, isolating her from the world with no trace of emotion. Around her, there was a void, not a single student sat nearby—yes, not one, because the only person who was sitting there was soone who had been expelled from the school and was no longer a student there.

That person was Xiao Yi!

The very person he detested the most!

He sat there, still wearing that faint smile that he loathed so much, so conspicuous, so irritating! (To be continued. If you like this work, we welco you to co to Qidian (qidian) to cast your recomndation votes and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
