"Doctor, please check on my aunt quickly, she’s really in unbearable pain."
Wang Qingqing helped her aunt sit down on the recliner and looked up. Seeing that the doctor was still unresponsive, she grew anxious and urged again.
"I will check her, what’s the rush? Does being anxious help?"
Upon hearing Wang Qingqing’s another urging, the doctor coldly snorted in displeasure, but still slowly stood up, put on the stethoscope hanging around his neck, walked over to Wang Qingqing’s aunt Li Xiaoi, furrowed his brows, and looked at her face before he started moving the stethoscope around her back incessantly.
After listening, he reached out to her abdon. Seeing her continuously covering her stomach, he suddenly commanded, "Remove your hand."
Li Xiaoi was in so much pain that sweat beads ford on her forehead; pressing with her hand was sowhat comforting, but hearing the doctor’s command, she still removed her hand.
As soon as Li Xiaoi removed her hand, the doctor stretched his hand out and pressed down forcefully.
"Ah!"
As soon as the doctor’s hand pressed down, Li Xiaoi couldn’t hold back and cried out in pain.
However, the doctor completely ignored her cries and continued to press down on several other areas, with Li Xiaoi screaming in pain each ti.
Wang Qingqing, watching her aunt cry out in agony, wanted several tis to interject and ask the doctor to be gentler, but fearing she might interfere with his diagnosis, she just tightly gripped her aunt’s arm and gently patted it to alleviate her pain.

"It’s nothing."
The doctor said indifferently, then clicked the mouse, and a docunt printed out from the computer which he took and handed to her, "Go and pay."
"What do you an ’It’s nothing’?"
Xiao Yi couldn’t control himself anymore. He had heard many dark rumors about hospitals, but after all, they were just rumors, and he had never witnessed them himself, so he hadn’t been too concerned. But now, the reality before him was stark. Could there really be such doctors?
Neglecting patients, disregarding their pain, a cold and arrogant attitude, ignoring the patient’s right to know... Based on his behavior in those few minutes, Xiao Yi was utterly intolerable!
He quickly stepped forward, snatching the paper from his hand, and stared coldly at the doctor. Pointing at Li Xiaoi, who was crying out in pain, he shouted angrily, "She’s in this condition, and you call that nothing serious? If it were nothing serious, would she be screaming in pain like this?"

"Fine, I’ll tell you. The patient has acute senteritis!"
Under Xiao Yi’s steadfast gaze, the doctor involuntarily weakened, shrinking back slightly, but still slamd his hand down on the table and shouted loudly, "Now you get out imdiately! We do not welco unruly family mbers like you here!"
At the sa ti, he secretly resolved to make an example of this patient to teach her a harsh lesson, prescribing so expensive imported health products for her to openly demonstrate what happens when you offend a doctor.
"What did you just say? How dare you speak like that!"
Wang Qingqing had already been fired up by the doctor’s attitude, and even though it was acceptable for a doctor to be sowhat arrogant, there was a limit to how much arrogance was appropriate. So, when she heard the doctor calling Xiao Yi unqualified, she imdiately got angry and shouted back.
Li Xiaoi, who was nearby, wanted to diate between the two, but she couldn’t say a word because of the pain in her stomach.
"What are you all doing? This is the Provincial People’s Hospital, not your countryside. Please be mindful. If you’re not here for treatnt, then leave imdiately. If you cause trouble, I will have to call security!"
The nurse, who had been idly sitting in her chair, playing with her nails, had appeared indifferent while Li Xiaoi cried out in pain and hadn’t offered to help the doctor with any asures. Now, seeing Wang Qingqing and Xiao Yi so enraged, a gleam of satisfaction flashed in her eyes as she coldly harangued them and then turned to the visibly upset doctor with a smile, "Director Wang, don’t be upset. These uncultured country folk aren’t worth your anger." Upon hearing the nurse’s words, Wang Qingqing felt a surge of blood qi, infuriated. She was a girl with strong self-esteem, excelling in school both in her town and later in the city, never allowing others to look down on her. Since her enrollnt in the Laws School at Z University, both relatives and friends had praised her even more.
When had she ever been treated like this? Being publicly labeled as a ’country folk’ didn’t really bother her because she was indeed from the countryside and had never thought there was anything wrong with that. Although poverty had deprived her of many things, it had also taught her many valuable life lessons.
What she couldn’t stand was the nurse’s condescending gaze and tone of voice, the disdainful looks, and the scornful tone that deeply wounded her.

But Wang Qingqing’s anger quickly subsided. She heard the painful moans of her aunt and saw her pleading eyes.
She quickly regained her composure. Her angry eyes suddenly turned somber.
Yes, the nurse was right. This was the Provincial People’s Hospital. They depended on this doctor to treat her aunt, to alleviate her pain. Acting impulsively would only harm her aunt.
If it were just herself, she would have walked away, even if it ant dying from her illness rather than enduring such treatnt, but she couldn’t disregard her aunt’s pain and suffering.
