Capítulo 1483: Chapter 1488: Village
Without much thought, after disguising himself well, Xia Liu headed towards the outskirts of the primordial forest.
This ti, he didn’t exert any abilities.
His Divine Sense was tightly sealed.
Having never interacted with Evil Cultivators before, he wasn’t aware of their capabilities.
Being on their turf, he had to be extrely cautious.
After walking for a day, Xia Liu sat down to rest when tired, and found a secluded place to lean against for respite.
Finally, after two days of walking, Xia Liu traversed through the primordial forest.
Before him was a smooth, towering mountain.
Ahead was an unfathomable cliff.
Standing at a high place, he gazed far and wide.
The location he was in was an island, and the area of the island was extrely vast.
Behind him was the jungle, and in front was the beautiful scenery of the island.
Suddenly, he noticed a village a hundred miles away,
with smoke billowing as if soone was lighting a fire to cook.
Xia Liu was overjoyed and imdiately sought a way to descend the mountain.
To gain more information about the Nether Sun Sea Area, he had to find a local.
In no ti, Xia Liu found a way down the mountain.
Cliff!
Following the stone crevices, relying on his strong physical constitution, Xia Liu took half an hour to reach the bottom safely.
He then quickly ran towards the village he saw from the mountain.
This village had only eight households, the houses mainly built with wood.
The houses were large, each ho had so dostic animals underneath.
Like chickens and ducks, like cattle and sheep, and even local dogs.
It closely resembled the lifestyle of ordinary people in the Southeast Region and the ordinary mountain villages of Huaxia.
Xia Liu almost thought he had co to the wrong place.
If not for the pervasive sinister and evil presence in the air, he wouldn’t have believed such an almost external village existed in the Nether Sun Sea Area.
Woof woof woof!!!
The mont Xia Liu appeared at the village entrance, several big dogs started barking inside the houses.
The barking didn’t last very long.
About thirty seconds or so.
By then, all sounds had disappeared.
Even the smoke from the fires stopped rising.
Xia Liu was bewildered.
What is going on here?
In less than a breath’s ti, the entire village seed devoid of any life.
Sothing’s fishy!
Xia Liu carefully examined the surroundings, eventually stopping at a house to knock on the door.
Knock knock knock…
“Is anyone there?”
After about a minute, there was no response.
Xia Liu moved to another house and continued knocking.
But the result was the sa.
An hour later, Xia Liu was baffled.
If he weren’t new here and wary of acting rashly, he might have broken the doors down.
Woof woof woof!!
Suddenly, as Xia Liu stood dumbfounded, a big yellow dog crawled out from under a house, barking and running towards him.
“Big Yellow! Co back quickly!”
After the big yellow dog rushed over, a gentle voice followed.
Xia Liu glanced over and saw a petite figure in a black robe crawling out from under the house.
From the voice, it was clear that this black-robed person was a girl.
Judging by her height, she seed to be around five feet two.
The black robe covered her figure, revealing only a pair of large eyes.
However, unlike those of the outside world, her eyes seed lacking in brightness, with the whites tinged yellow.
Sowhat developing towards red pupils.
“ngng, co back quickly!”
The girl’s exposure prompted an anxious shout from an adult beneath the house.
Soon, two more people in similar robes appeared.
It seed they were ngng’s parents.
Woof woof!!!
The big yellow dog kept barking but dared not charge at Xia Liu.
“Big Yellow! It’s dangerous, co back quickly…”
ngng called out softly.
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t calm Big Yellow.
Finally, she gazed at Xia Liu and cautiously approached.
“ngng! Don’t get close to him; you’ll die!”
“Wife, stand still. If he dares to harm ngng, I’ll fight him!”
A deep, angry male voice ca from under the black robe.
He then stepped forward, taking up a homade sharp stone machete.
“No need to worry, I’m not a bad person.”
Seeing the situation, Xia Liu raised his hands in explanation.
“Not a bad person?”
“Dad, he doesn’t seem to have the domineering air of an Evil Cultivator; he might really not be a bad person.”
“Yes, if he were an Evil Cultivator, he wouldn’t lower himself to explain things to us.”
ngng and her mother observed Xia Liu for a while, drawing a logical conclusion.
“Who are you, and why are you here?”
ngng’s father held the machete, unwilling to let his guard down before truly confirming.
To survive in the Nether Sun Sea Area, one must be extrely careful.
“I was washed ashore by the waves. I’m a bit hungry, so I entered the island and found this place…”
“Were you captured by Evil Cultivators and then thrown into the sea?”
ngng blinked repeatedly, seemingly hoping Xia Liu would confirm.
That would an her guess was correct.
“Yes, I don’t know who they were or why they took everyone from my village…”
“I see; co inside and we’ll talk.”
On hearing this, ngng’s father’s heart softened. He tossed the machete aside and instructed ngng to lead Xia Liu inside.
He himself went to inform the neighbors that the crisis was over.
Inside the cozy little house that belonged to ngng’s family,
a large table full of people surrounded Xia Liu.
It was an exchange devoid of words, only eye contact.
Xia Liu’s attire was identical to theirs.
As for the strange attire of this group, Xia Liu dared not show a hint of curiosity.
Asking questions would only expose himself.
However, he wasn’t particularly worried.
Because the people in this village were all ordinary residents.
There was no aura about them.
Yet within their bodies lay the concealed Energy of Yin Sha.
Presumably because they had lived in the Nether Sun Sea Area for so long, absorbing the energy-polluted air.
Consuming those dreary foods, their physical qualities had beco akin to their surroundings.
“Friend, please tell us about your situation.”
ngng’s father sat across from Xia Liu, determined to accept this shipwrecked friend if his story was genuine.
“I’ve lived on the island my entire life. I don’t know what happened that day; a group of people emanating black mist ca to the village and burned down the houses.”
Upon reaching this part, Xia Liu paused, glancing at everyone before continuing.
“Those people captured the entire village. After being pulled out amidst the flas, I was thrown onto a ship. When I awoke, I found myself lying on the rocks outside and slowly made my way here…”
Xia Liu didn’t continue.
This was as far as he could fabricate.
In the Nether Sun Sea Area, ordinary residents surely feared Evil Cultivators, and since ngng said he wasn’t one,
the story should be convincing enough.
“It seems the Evil Cultivators have already approached nearby!”
ngng’s father spoke solemnly, then continued questioning Xia Liu: “Friend, do you know how far your village’s island is from here?”
