When Jia Youqian saw Qin Heng approaching, his pupils suddenly shrank! He started shaking instinctively, like a mouse that had seen a cat. All the fear in his heart was exposed! He completely broke down!

THUD!

Jia Youqian knelt before Qin Heng, knocking his head on the ground, his body trembling. He slapped his own face repeatedly, crying and apologizing profusely, his voice filled with terror.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong! I was wrong! Please, spare ! Please!!"

The people around were stunned by this scene! They looked at Qin Heng in disbelief, as if he were a living legend!

God damn! That was really harsh! He almost ran that guy over and killed him! A kid who obviously looked like a poor student actually made a rich young master, whose family controls a billion-dollar company, kneel and beg for rcy, even slap his own face! That was truly amazing! So powerful!!

"Get lost!" Qin Heng said indifferently, as if Jia Youqian was beneath his notice.

"Yes, yes, I'll get lost! I'll leave right now!!" Jia Youqian regained so composure. He scrambled into his car, fumbling to start it in his panic, and fled in a rush.

However, before he left, he sneaked a glance at Qin Heng. His eyes were full of spiteful malice.

Kid, just you wait, I'll definitely kill you! And Song Ningran, I swear I'll take you right in front of this kid! Just wait!!

Qin Heng watched Jia Youqian drive away, a cold smile on his face. The glance Jia Youqian had thrown him before leaving had not escaped his perception; he had intentionally let Jia Youqian go.

After all, even though the Fengting Group was only worth one billion, it was still a worthwhile target. If Jia Youqian dared to seek revenge, Qin Heng had ways to take over the entire Fengting Group! He would let Jia Youqian experience what true despair was! What it felt like to wish he were dead! That would be the real punishnt! What just happened was rely a light shower, just a little scare for Jia Youqian. Nothing serious at all.

"Let's go, Ran Ran. I'll take you to et up with the teacher and the other students," Qin Heng said with a smile, walking over to Song Ningran.

"Ah? Okay, sure." Song Ningran nodded subconsciously, just starting to recover from the shock. "Jia Youqian just ran off like that? Qin Heng, you won't get into trouble, will you?"

"Compared to Li Jiayi, what does Jia Youqian amount to?" Qin Heng chuckled lightly, gently tousled Song Ningran's hair, and added, "Let's go."

...

The administrative departnt of East China Normal University was very efficient. It only took Qin Heng and Song Ningran a little over ten minutes to complete the formalities. They arrived at the pre-announced assembly point, waiting for the bus.

Quite a few people were going to Mount Tai; the entire cohort of sophomore history majors was participating, about thirty students in total. More than twenty were female, with only a few male students. The students were divided into small groups of five, each with one male student assigned to do the heavy lifting.

Jia Youqian had originally been in the sa group as Song Ningran. Now that he couldn't make it, another person had been reassigned to their group.

"Hello, I'm Mo Cheng." The young man was tall and handso, dressed in a white short-sleeved shirt and trousers, looking very clean and fresh. He extended his hand towards Qin Heng and smiled. "Youqian had sothing co up and couldn't make it, so I've been assigned to take his place. I can help look after Ran Ran. You're Ran Ran's friend, right?"

Mo Cheng was famously known as the campus heartthrob. He was 1.8 ters tall. His family reportedly owned a company and was very wealthy. He was always well-dressed and took good care of his appearance—the standard template of a campus idol. At East China Normal, he had countless admirers, often receiving love letters and gifts. Many girls would blush upon seeing him.

His arrival imdiately caused an excited outcry among the girls in Song Ningran's group.

"Wow! It's actually Mo Cheng! So handso! Really, he's too handso! We're so lucky to be in the sa group as Mo Cheng!"

"What a sha! Mo Cheng only has eyes for our Ran Ran; he completely ignores the rest of us!"

The girls began to tease Song Ningran, completely disregarding Qin Heng, who stood beside her. After all, though Qin Heng was rather good-looking, his attire was too plain. In the eyes of these girls, he simply couldn't compare with Mo Cheng.

Qin Heng sized up Mo Cheng, nodded slightly, and said indifferently, "Hello, I'm Qin Heng."

He did not shake Mo Cheng's outstretched hand, as if he hadn't seen it at all, directly ignoring him.

Mo Cheng's face turned ashen, his extended hand trembled slightly, his eyes flickered, and he clenched his teeth. But he quickly regained his composure.

Qin Heng paid Mo Cheng no mind and turned to Song Ningran. "Ran Ran, there's a Sino-Arican Youth Martial Arts Exchange next weekend. Are you interested in going with ?"

Early that morning, Chen Qingzhu had sent Qin Heng a ssage with the ti and place of the martial arts exchange. The news would be officially announced by noon and would probably ignite a firestorm of debate across social dia and news outlets. After all, keyboard warriors were bound to be at their most active.

Song Ningran nodded and smiled. "Sure, no problem." She agreed very readily.

Mo Cheng's expression subtly changed. He looked at Song Ningran and said, "Ran Ran, I asked you to a concert next weekend. Didn't you say you were busy tutoring and didn't have ti?"

How could she agree so quickly to this guy, and for so ridiculous Sino-Arican martial arts exchange, of all things!

At this, the surrounding girls grew excited again.

"Oh my god! Mo Cheng actually asked Ran Ran out! I can't believe it! Is Mo Cheng pursuing Ran Ran? My heart is breaking!"

"The campus idol is actually asking another girl out! I'm so heartbroken! Why didn't Mo Cheng ask ? I'd do anything!"

"Ran Ran is still the most formidable; she even rejected Mo Cheng! She couldn't possibly like this poor kid, could she?"

They were all swooning. In their eyes, Mo Cheng was their idol, their Prince Charming; they would co running at the slightest beckoning from him.

Song Ningran's delicate brows furrowed slightly. She looked at Mo Cheng with displeasure and said very coldly, "I've decided not to tutor anymore. Is there a problem with that?"

Unlike the other girls, she had an extrely poor impression of Mo Cheng. On more than one occasion, she had seen him entering hotels with two or three beautiful won, yet he still pretended to be an innocent, pure man who steered clear of won in his daily life. It made her feel he was hypocritical and disgusting. Normally, Song Ningran couldn't be bothered with him and wouldn't even deign to speak to him.

Mo Cheng didn't appear angered by her words, at least not outwardly. He put on a polite smile and said, "Of course, there's no problem, Ran Ran. Your ti is your own to manage. However, to be honest, I don't think that martial arts exchange will be very interesting. In terms of martial arts, can China really compare to Arica? The gap is too wide. It's basically a guaranteed loss, and watching it live would surely be an unpleasant experience."

BEEP BEEP!

Just then, the school-chartered bus arrived. The accompanying teacher began organizing the students to line up and board, ready to head to the airport.

The girls started complaining.

"It's so stuffy on the bus! It'll take two hours to get to Dongpu Airport from here, right? I think I might get motion sick."

"We can only open the windows, but that will affect the air conditioning, and it'll get very hot..."

BEEP BEEP!

A car horn suddenly sounded. A sleek, silver Rolls-Royce drove up and stopped in front of Mo Cheng. A middle-aged man alighted from the car, bowed to Mo Cheng, and said respectfully, "Young Master, I've brought your car."

"Wow! A Rolls-Royce! That's so aweso! Mo Cheng is really so cool!!"

"They say Mo Cheng's family background is even stronger than Jia Youqian's. It looks like it's true!"

"This model of Rolls-Royce costs at least three to four million. Mo Cheng is actually this wealthy!"

The surrounding girls' eyes practically shone; they looked like they wanted to throw themselves at Mo Cheng.

Tall, rich, and handso! A true campus idol! Many girls had no resistance to such charms.

The few male students from the history departnt also cast envious and resentful glances at Mo Cheng.

We're all n! Why the hell is the gap so damn big?!

Mo Cheng thoroughly enjoyed this adulation. He glanced at Qin Heng, his eyebrows lifting slightly, his chin raised in a seemingly provocative gesture. He then approached Song Ningran with a very gentlemanly smile.

"Distinguished Miss Song Ningran, may I have the honor of inviting you to ride in my car to the airport? The three ladies accompanying you may also join. This way, you can avoid the discomfort of the bus."

Then, he turned to Qin Heng with an apologetic expression, squinting his eyes as he spoke, "I'm sorry, Qin Heng, but my Rolls-Royce only has three seats in the back. Ran Ran can sit in the front passenger seat, and the other three ladies can sit in the back. There's no room for you. I'm afraid you'll have to take the bus with everyone else."
