Lu Chen didn’t even turn his head as he spoke, holding the Heavenly Inquiry Spear that was still rging with the Ice-Strange Fire and shot back the question without looking back.
"We intended to subdue the monster and to think that we saved you from the Demon Power Sphere. Yet you repay kindness with enmity?"
Qing Nan’s face was contorted with indignant fury.
Without Qing Jie and Qing Er, he had no hope of defeating Lu Chen; he didn’t have the courage to point his sword at Lu Chen anymore!
All he could do was muster his words in desperation, hoping to stir feelings of guilt in Lu Chen. If not to save him, then at least to avoid the sa fate as the other two!
"Repay kindness with enmity? How dare you utter these words," chuckled Lu Chen coldly. "I had put aside past grievances, one might say I was repaying enmity with virtue! To think, when the upper beam is not straight, the lower ones will go aslant!"
