Lu Chen didn’t know that Gou Fugui had been following him.

After running through the city for about half an hour, he finally saw the thick city walls. After turning onto the main street, he dashed out of the city.

There were no lack of travelers outside the city, groups of three or five, mostly martial artists in attire, carrying weapons on their backs.
So hurried along, while others stood waiting in place, ready to set out.
Lu Chen barely gave them a glance before several martial artists jogged toward him.
"People from Gou Fugui?"
That was Lu Chen’s first thought. He hesitated about whether or not it was appropriate to start a fight just outside the city.
But upon closer inspection, when he saw those people rushing over, they were also pushing each other and muttering under their breath, seemingly hurling insults at one another.
The one who ran the fastest was a swordsman martial artist. He was lightly dressed and seed to be only at the Bone Refinent Realm.
Still ten or more steps away, Lu Chen heard the martial artist shout, "Friend, are you heading to Tianyuan? Why not travel together?"

In that brief mont, these martial artists had already surrounded Lu Chen.
"Sorry, friends, I’m not heading to Tianyuan. I must take my leave!"
He spoke with a smile and then turned to leave.

The people continued trying to recruit Lu Chen, but he just smiled, turning and walking away from the crowd.

Her voice was like that of an oriole, apparently coming from a young woman!

A yellow shadow flickered, and the young woman quickly caught up, keeping the sa speed as Lu Chen!
Shortly after she left, three martial artists at the Bone Refinent Realm appeared at that spot, gasping for breath.
"What do we do now? She keeps following him, and we can’t make a move!"
"What else can we do? I’m almost out of Yuan Stones. If we have to, we’ll kill her too!"
"Gou Fugui already lured the client this way. How are we going to report back if we don’t get the Black Jiao Snake?"
The three of them caught their breath, each gripping a Yuan Stone. They relied on running while absorbing the spiritual energy from inside the stones, or they would have been too weak to continue long ago.
Little did they expect that Lu Chen could run so well, and the young woman followed him closely all the way.
"If we catch up this ti, you two hold her off, and I’ll take care of the kid!"
