Lu Chen’s heart trembled with shock, for he had seen many monsters, yet he had never co across such a creature!
But when he glimpsed the thick tortoise shell out of the corner of his eye, he imdiately realized what it was; wasn’t this the empty shell on top of the altar?
Back then, he had examined it using the Hateful Heaven Pupil Technique, and it was clearly many years dead, later refined into a precious formation core!
But why was it alive again?
Lu Chen was at a complete loss.
But he had no ti to think!
Watching the giant turtle’s mouth brimming with sharp teeth, Lu Chen tightly grasped his spear and smashed down fiercely!
Boom!
The strike was earth-shattering, yet it felt as though he had struck a thick earthen wall!
He didn’t use any spear techniques, for he knew he couldn’t injure the Demon Turtle; instead, he wanted to use the rebound force to open up a safe distance first!
Being so close, he was not confident that he could defeat this giant monster!
It has to be said, thanks to Lu Chen’s experience, his strike bounced him back imdiately. Although his body suffered greatly from the powerful recoil, and he tumbled several tis in the air, he was finally away from the spot!
The turtle’s head pursued him relentlessly but could only watch as Lu Chen landed in the distance.
Though in a sorry state, Lu Chen was now out of its reach!
"What’s going on here!"
Lu Chen stood at the top of the palace, panting heavily. He was thankful for his quick reaction, otherwise he would have beco this Demon Turtle’s al!
"Master, it seems the Demon Turtle still has so demon sense left, which is why it swallowed a person and turned back into a turtle!"
The spear spirit quickly exclaid with an explanation.
"So what do we do now?"
Lu Chen asked anxiously.
The Demon Turtle, having absorbed such imnse Earth Spirit Power, was beyond his ability to contest, even with the Net Jade Bottle in hand.
Besides, he understood the Earth Elent Spirit Power too well; it was primarily defensive, and he could not break through it.
"There’s no way, we can only think of a way to leave this place!"
The spear spirit said helplessly.
"Then... let’s go find the Net Jade Bottle first!"
Lu Chen glanced at the Demon Turtle, and the turtle in turn stretched out its head, locking eyes with Lu Chen. Its giant eyes, shimring red, were filled with resentnt. This inexplicably puzzled Lu Chen.
"It seems to bear a grudge against ."
"Master, it must be because you didn’t completely kill one of the Sword Cultivators earlier, and then mysteriously, the Demon Turtle devoured him!"
After thinking for a mont, the spear spirit replied.
Lu Chen frowned, "Does that an... this Demon Turtle won’t rest until I’m dead?"
The spear spirit fell silent, confirming the grim reality.
"No matter," Lu Chen’s expression eased, "whether it holds a grudge or not, we still have to leave. If we leave the Five Elents formation and go beyond the heaven’s abyss, it’s unlikely it can chase us out of there, right?"
With the Demon Turtle around, he was at a disadvantage with the Earthen Spirit Power.
If they left the abyss, Lu Chen believed he was not necessarily without a way to handle it!
The key was that he could continue to cultivate and elevate his realm!
"Master, you’re right, now we have no ans to deal with it."
The spear spirit agreed with Lu Chen’s thoughts; they couldn’t overco it now, and staying here would be futile.
"Let’s go!"

Though he did not know the whereabouts of the Net Jade Bottle, it was still best to distance himself from the Demon Turtle first.
As Lu Chen disappeared from its sight, the Demon Turtle unwillingly withdrew its head. Seeing the spellbound cultivators and Martial Artists around the palace rooftop, it revealed a greedy expression, and then suddenly inhaled!
Instantly, these people were sucked into the sand pit below and fell into the palace’s cracks and gaping holes!

"Spear spirit, I’ve suddenly thought of a problem,"
Lu Chen, flying aimlessly forward, suddenly spoke.
"Master, please tell."
The spear spirit responded.
"What if," Lu Chen said, "I transford my whole body into Wood Spirit Power, and then used you against that tree demon, could we gain an advantage?"
"Master ans... Wood conquers Earth?"
Upon ntioning Wood Spirit Power, the spear spirit naturally thought of this.
"Exactly, the Five Elents nourish and overco each other, it should be possible."
Lu Chen nodded his head; his understanding of the Five Elents transformation was now profound.
The spear spirit realized Lu Chen’s plan but had a different opinion, "But Master, even if you wanted to turn your whole body into Wood Spirit Power to overco the Demon Turtle’s Earth, you lack the proper magic artifact!"
"If we find the tree demon, perhaps there will be a way!"
Lu Chen smiled lightly.
"Master ans... the Tree Core of the tree demon?"
