"Ah!"
The bearded man had been thoroughly frightened out of his wits by now.
He got up, climbed over the gunwale, and jumped towards the vast sea.
After all, for him, the speedboat was nothing short of hell.
But just as his feet touched the water’s surface, a fuzzy tail wrapped around his waist.
He was then hoisted up like a hooked fish, pulled out of the water.
"Help... Help ..."
The bearded man’s eyes bulged in terror. He tried to struggle but soon discovered
that the seemingly soft tail was tougher than diamond.
Helplessly, he watched as he was lifted.
"Why can’t we kill him all of a sudden?"
Ning ngyao still had that harmless look.
However, the dry corpses strung upon her seven fox tails made her seem like a demon from hell.
Ranked among the nine corpses, her strength was certainly not limited to this display.
Even Xu Zhi Rou felt unsettled at that mont.
Thinking about how every night, she was restrained by Ning’s fox tails—unable to move, yet always so fluffy—
was sothing she found unusually comforting, even when held in embrace.
But how could it have beco a deadly weapon in an instant, and with destructive force that pierces straight through the chest, it was truly hard to accept.
"Because he seems to be a curse shaman from Woguo."
Lin Fan pointed at the back of his neck, and only then did Ning ngyao control the fox tails to place the man in front, forcing his head down.
"There is indeed a mark, but... it feels like it was just branded on him!"
At this mont, the bearded man was nothing more than a plaything.
Ning ngyao could decide whether he lived or died.
"This is a bit strange, a commoner with the brand of a curse shaman... and there seems to be sothing off about it!"
Lin Fan crooked his finger, and the man was promptly hoisted by Ning ngyao and brought before him.
Looking at the mark on the man’s neck, he pondered for a mont and then turned to Xu Zhi Rou.
"What does it look like to you?"
"It looks like... a stamp put on cattle or horses!"
After pondering for a mont, Xu Zhi Rou suddenly rembered sothing.
"That’s right, so that ans, this guy isn’t a curse shaman, at best, he’s just cattle raised by a curse shaman."
Lin Fan shared the sa thought, but they needed to interrogate the now unconscious and terrified bearded man to get the specifics.
So Ning ngyao was instructed to put him down while Lin splashed his face with red wine.
The bearded man jolted awake instantly.
"Ah!"
Seeing Ning ngyao standing next to Lin Fan, he scread miserably once again.
But before he could faint again, a gust of wind struck him.
"Smack!"
A hefty slap sent him tumbling to the ground.
The burning pain made him want to cry out, but as soon as he opened his mouth, several yellow teeth mixed with blood sprayed out.
"Hey, how did you get that mark on your neck?"
Lin Fan shook his hand, looking with disgust at the man while pointing to the back of his own neck.
"I... Save ... &*¥..."
The bearded man knelt on the ground, begging for rcy incessantly, and the words in his mouth were incomprehensible to the three of them.
Clearly, his Chinese was very poor, completely insufficient to describe the situation at hand.
"This is troubleso!"
Lin Fan rubbed his chin, looking at the bearded man who kept kowtowing like pounding garlic.
With the language barrier, he couldn’t make himself clear even if he wanted to.
"I have a thod, but after using it, he won’t survive," Ning ngyao suddenly said to Lin Fan with confidence.
"If he won’t survive, then he won’t survive; I just want to know what he knows about this mark," Lin Fan said as he had just checked the other mummified bodies, and they all had the sa mark on the back of their necks.
This ant that these people were all connected to the sorcerers.
"That’s simple, I’ll handle him," ng Yao said.
With a thought, her fox tail seized the limbs of the bearded man.
She brought him directly in front of her.
At the sa ti, a red light shot out from her seductive eyes, piercing straight into the man’s eyes.
Soon, the bearded man stopped struggling and stood there like a puppet.
"Seductive Soul Capturing Skill..."
Lin Fan couldn’t help but utter the na, despite not knowing how this peculiar na had appeared in his mind.
Clearly, it was ng Yao’s signature move.
Soon, as Ning ngyao withdrew the red light, the bearded man stood there like a puppet, his brain destroyed, now a marionette under ng Yao’s control.
Just now, she had forcibly extracted part of the man’s mories.
"These people were indeed fishern but spent most of their ti fishing far away, a thousand miles from here. A few months ago, so fishern who ca here said that Evil Island was full of strange creatures with treasures, and capturing them could bring great wealth. So they partnered up to try their luck here," ng Yao was now forming a rough idea of the bearded man’s mories.
Even if she didn’t speak their language, she could grasp so linguistic ability while reading part of their mories.
"But as soon as they landed on the island, they were captured by a group of sorcerers. More than half of the hundred or so people they organized were killed, and the rest were branded and banished here. The sorcerers demanded that they use fishing as bait and imdiately shoot a signal flare whenever they encountered ships coming from the mainland toward the island," she continued.
"The sorcerers are on Evil Island too!"
Hearing this, Lin Fan widened his eyes.
Indeed, they were also after the Drought demon.
"Not only that, but they also seem to be using iron cages to hold so wild beasts. Although it’s just fragnted mories, those beasts are definitely not ordinary animals. They are not only larger in size but also exceptionally violent. Several of the containers have been smashed open," ng Yao’s answer caused Lin Fan to frown.
"By rights, we’ve been to Evil Island before, and there were just so vicious wild animals. When did all these bizarre things erge? Could it be related to the Drought demon?"
"Does that an we’ve already been exposed?"
Xu Zhi Rou was more concerned about whether their whereabouts had attracted the attention of the sorcerers.
"No, these shaless guys saw that we were only three people and planned to take advantage. So, they didn’t send any signals to Evil Island at all," ng Yao replied, prompting a smile from Lin Fan.
"Now, can you make him do sothing for us?"
"I can’t make him do anything too intricate, but simple tasks shouldn’t be a problem."
"Good!"
Lin Fan stood up, smiling as he gazed into the pitch-black distance.
Evil Island was nearing, and it was ti to misdirect their focus.
"You control him to launch a signal flare tomorrow night. When everyone’s attention is on that, we will make our way onto the island while they are unprepared. I want to see what treasures on Evil Island are so important that the sorcerers would co out in full force for them!"
