The sunset at dusk.

Downstairs of the Ning Group building.

Ning ngyao, dressed in business attire, was carrying a fragrance pouch as she walked out of the elevator.

Although she appeared sowhat fatigued, the sweet smile that overflowed from the corners of her mouth was so sweet.

But the mont she stepped out of the elevator, a large hand had already wrapped around her slender waist.

Before she could comprehend what was happening, Lin Fan’s lips had already claid her delicate, lush lips.

Ning ngyao symbolically raised her little fists, pumling his chest a few tis.

Then she completely lted under his aggressive and domineering kiss.

Clinging tightly to his waist, she also relieved so of her longing.

"Alright... let’s talk about it at ho... don’t let people see us... it’s so embarrassing."

After a while, Ning ngyao finally broke free from Lin Fan’s lips.

With a shy look on her face, she lowered her head like a bashful young girl.

"What’s wrong with kissing my wife? I have a license to do this, legitimate driving!" Lin Fan said, satisfied as he licked his lips.

After waiting for so long, he finally experienced this mont.

"Stop it... Even if it’s legal, we should wait until we get ho... What’s the rush? It’s not like I can run away," Ning ngyao said, biting her lower lip, her eyes filled with affection.

"Even if you flee to the moon tonight, I’ll bring you back. No one can steal you away."

He lifted Ning ngyao into his arms.

Lin Fan squinted his eyes, a rogue smile on his face.

They had been married for a while, yet this was about to be their first night together.

The brief intimacy they once shared on the mountain had long since blurred in his mory.

He had to reinforce the impression tonight.

"I’m not Chang’e, and you’re definitely not Hou Yi."

Held in Lin Fan’s arms, Ning ngyao could feel the steady beat of his heart.

Recalling all the ti they had laid in the sa bed.

And yet, they never took that next step.

So much ti had been wasted.

"I may not be Hou Yi, but I can be Zhu Bajie. Tonight, you’re my cabbage, and I’m set on getting you!"

Lin Fan’s mischievous smile made Ning ngyao’s cheeks turn even redder.

The joy of "absence makes the heart grow fonder" filled the hearts of both.

Even on the way ho, their hands remained tightly clasped.

It conveyed their longing during this period and the anticipation for tonight.

"Grandpa, we’re back."

The two of them entered the Ning Mansion, hand in hand.

Lin Fan had been busy outside all this ti.

So, he hadn’t had the opportunity to co ho.

"Lin Fan, where have you been these days? With both of you not at ho, this old man was terribly bored. Co, sit down and taste if Ms. Li’s cooking has improved," Ning Zhenyue said with a smile as he looked at Lin Fan.

During these days apart, he couldn’t help but worry.

Yet he dared not ask.

Now that he saw Lin Fan return, he was exceptionally happy.

"There has been so unrest in Jiangning lately, and I helped solve so minor issues, which is why I had no ti to visit you. But looking at you, your complexion is ruddy, and you seem quite spirited, you must have had a good ti," Lin Fan said with a smile as he glanced at Ning Zhenyue and winked.

This vast courtyard, ho to him and Ms. Li.

Though Ms. Li was over fifty, her company was enough for Ning Zhenyue, who was in his seventies.

"Ah, when one gets old, they fear silence. This giant empty courtyard lacks liveliness; I look forward to your return every day. It would be wonderful if we could add a child’s voice to it soon," Ning Zhenyue said, jokingly pressuring them for a grandchild.

Ning ngyao could only shyly lower her head in response.

Lin Fan, on the other hand, nodded vigorously with a laugh.

"Grandpa, I can’t promise you anything else, but that one thing, I’ll definitely get on it," Lin Fan said.

"Good, that’s settled then. Hey, Ms. Li, we’re in a good mood today. Get so wine for us n, and bring out a plate of peanuts."

Ning Zhenyue said to Ms. Li, who was serving the dishes.

"Very well, but you should still drink less and look after your health."

Ms. Li, wearing an apron, had a smile on her face.

She quickly brought over so baijiu and side dishes, but as she turned to leave, Ning ngyao called out to her.

"Ms. Li, why don’t you join us at the table too?"

"Oh, that won’t do, I can just take a quick bite in the kitchen."

Ms. Li quickly shook her head.

After all, she was a housemaid in the family.

It was not her place to dine with the masters.

"Ms. Li, if you’re asked to sit, just sit down. You’ve been with the Ning Family for ten years now; why so formal? Just now, ng Yao was saying how good you’ve been to her, almost like family."

Lin Fan said with a smile on the side.

"Yes, Ms. Li, I even bought you a little gift from the seaside. I ca back too late yesterday to give it to you."

Ning ngyao hurriedly took out a pair of earrings from her purse.

She handed them to Ms. Li.

The seashell-shaped gold earrings certainly matched the local flavor.

"This... is too valuable, I can’t accept it!"

Ms. Li quickly waved her hands to refuse.

"If I tell you to take it, just take it. When I’m not ho, it’s you who looks after Grandpa, much better than I, his granddaughter, could. This is the least we, the younger generation, should do."

Ning ngyao pulled Ms. Li’s hand and placed it in her own palm.

"If the child tells you to take it, just accept it. You’re no spring chicken anymore. There’s no need to hide and squirrel things away. Co, sit down and let’s eat together."

Ning Zhenyue said with a chuckle.

The love of the elderly is often deep and unspoken.

Even after ten years of companionship, they never dared to admit it.

But Lin Fan had just spoken openly about it, followed by Ning ngyao’s gift.

The old man felt that it was ti to make so things clear.

"Um... okay..."

With everyone insisting like that, Ms. Li actually blushed a bit.

Still, receiving recognition from Ning ngyao and Lin Fan made her very happy.

And so, it beca like a family of four having dinner together.

There was laughter and joy all around.

Unfortunately, such happy monts are often interrupted by soone intent on spoiling it.

As the courtyard door was pushed open, the Ning father and son, who had been out of sight for a while, walked in unexpectedly.

Uncle Ning Bingcai had an especially gloomy face as he looked at the four people at the dining table.

"Well, well, now even a maid can sit at the table. Looks like the Ning Family’s rules have literally gone to the dogs."

"Who do you think you are? Have you forgotten that Grandpa disowned you and threw you out? What right do you have to criticize here!"

Lin Fan held back Ms. Li, who was about to stand up, from behind.

On such a harmonious family day, why did these two scoundrels have to show up?

"No matter what, I still have the Ning Family blood in my veins, which gives more rights than so outsider like you. Besides, I’ve co back today to recover losses for the Ning Family!"

Ning Bingcai stood with his arms crossed in a defiant manner.

His arrogant deanor was as if he was too big for this world to contain.

"What losses has the Ning Family suffered that require you to recover? The best contribution you can make is getting out that door."

Ning ngyao stood up.

At tis like this, she couldn’t always have Lin Fan fight her battles.

Staring straight into her uncle’s eyes.

The ho was divided, the company as well.

She didn’t need to keep her grievances to herself anymore.

"ng Yao, no matter what, I am still your uncle, and I didn’t co back to fight over the inheritance today. I ca to show you how Ms. Li has been scheming step by step to take over the Ning Family’s wealth."

Ning Bingcai did not attack Ning ngyao head-on.

Instead, he pointed directly at a bewildered Ms. Li.

As for Ning Changfeng standing behind him, he wore a cold smirk throughout.

He knew that aside from Ning ngyao, the person Ning Zhenyue cared about the most was Ms. Li, who had been with him for ten years.

If sothing were to go wrong with her, Ning Zhenyue would be utterly devastated.
