"Morning!"
When Ning ngyao walked out of the bedroom, Lin Fan had already been standing in the courtyard.
He had finished his two weeks of breathing exercises.
"Hmph!"
Unexpectedly, Ning ngyao only responded with a hum through her nose.
It seed like she still hadn’t gotten over last night’s incident.
"Won, oh won!"
They had agreed to share the bed last night.
But in the end, Lin Fan was kicked onto the floor.
"What are you daydreaming about? The driver has sothing to do today and took a leave, so you’re driving to the company!"
Ning ngyao gave him a big roll of her eyes.
Then she headed toward the dining room.
"An assistant has to do the driver’s work too, huh? Shouldn’t that co with a pay raise?"
Lin Fan followed her with a smile.
"Dream on."
Ning ngyao snorted.
The opportunity last night had been so good.
Yet he ruined the mood with just one sentence.
It was utterly a waste of subli talent.
"Capitalists!"
Completely oblivious to what he had missed.
Lin Fan could only shake his head in resignation.
"Grandpa, it seems you didn’t sleep well last night."
At that mont, Ning Zhenyue was already sitting in the dining room, watching the two walk in side by side.
Noticing his listless appearance, Lin Fan imdiately asked.
"Ah... I’m old and no longer useful. I got completely fooled by that scoundrel, and it almost endangered ng Yao."
Ning Zhenyue let out a long sigh.
This self-bla was truly heart-wrenching.
"Grandpa, you are the one with the discerning eye who chose a great grandson-in-law to protect , so I won’t co to any harm."
Ning ngyao quickly spoke to reassure her grandfather.
And took the opportunity to flatter Lin Fan.
However, that loving look on her face disappeared the mont the two walked out of the dining room.
"Did you study Sichuan face changing or sothing?"
Lin Fan asked with a wry smile, shaking his head.
"Just drive the car, why all the chatter!"
Pulling open the car door and sitting in the passenger seat, Ning ngyao said irritably.
Clearly, he had no idea what he had done wrong.
And that was what infuriated her even more.
"Yes, Mr. President, whatever you say."
Lin Fan started the car with a bitter smile, and they headed straight for the group.
But as soon as the car arrived in the underground parking lot, Ning ngyao noticed sothing amiss.
"Isn’t this Uncle’s car? What is he doing at the company?"
Because of the conflict with Grandpa, Ning Bingcai hardly ever ca to the company.
Having been kicked out of the house in such an embarrassed state last night, yet here he was today.
Ning ngyao sensed sothing was off.
"Definitely a weasel visiting a chicken for the New Year, he’s up to no good. But we’ll find out once we go up."
Lin Fan cockily held his pocket with one hand and a cold smile on his lips.
This father and son duo really could stir up trouble, not resting for a single day.
"Mhm!"
Ning ngyao nodded.
After what had happened yesterday, she felt very reassured with Lin Fan by her side.
They took the elevator directly to the top floor.
When the elevator doors opened, the secretary was already waiting there.
"President, Ning Bingcai brought a group of fair-haired and blue-eyed foreigners to the company early this morning. They are now in the eting room waiting for you. He instructed to have you hurry over as soon as you arrived, saying there is a big business deal to discuss."
"I want to see what kind of big business deal there is to discuss," Ning ngyao said with a puzzled furrow of her brow.
The feeling that the other party had a sche made her quite uncomfortable.
Still, she composed herself and headed towards the eting room.
As the eting room’s door was pushed open.
Sure enough, there were several fair-haired and blue-eyed foreigners seated inside.
Their impeccably suited appearance made it clear they were corporate elites.
"Allow to introduce to you, this is our company’s Executive President, Ms. Ning ngyao," Ning Bingcai said as he hurriedly stood up, smiling as he introduced her.
Then, turning his head, he lowered his voice and said to Ning ngyao,
"ngyao, regardless of whatever displeasures we have had between us in the past, today we are both part of the group. This is the deputy president of the Su Luer Group; their equipnt is internationally leading. This year, they are preparing to set up in the dostic market and are looking for local agents. I’ve gone to great lengths to make contact with them. This connection I’ve followed for a long ti, and it can’t be easily broken. Once the contract is signed, the profits will be at least forty percent. This can be of trendous help to the company’s future; you must do your utmost to secure it."
Ning Bingcai’s words were so convincing that Ning ngyao was taken aback.
As the Executive President, she certainly was aware of the Su Luer Group’s strength.
She had also heard that they were scouting local agencies in the country these days.
"I am delighted to et you, beautiful lady!" exclaid the blue-eyed man across from her in broken Chinese as he reached out his hand.
Ning ngyao could only respond with a smile and extend her hand.
When he grasped her slender hand, he went ahead and kissed it directly.
Luckily, a hand imdiately covered the back of Ning ngyao’s hand.
That hand was heartily kissed by the foreigner.
"What’s wrong with you, biting people upon eting them? You’re so hairy; do you need a rabies vaccine?" Lin Fan snatched back Ning ngyao’s hand.
Then, with a look of disgust, he wiped the back of his hand against his trousers.
"What are you doing, you country bumpkin... That is a Western hand-kissing gesture... How can you be so rude!" Ning Bingcai glared at Lin Fan furiously.
Lin Fan was too rash.
"If it’s Western etiquette, then they should keep it to their own country. Kissing soone’s hand randomly over here is called hooliganism!" Lin Fan said with a cold face, staring directly at the man.
The utterly confounded foreigner could only look toward the interpreter.
Then he mumbled sothing to the interpreter for quite a while.
"Mr. Smith says that it is their country’s custom to greet beautiful won in such a manner, and if there has been any undue offense, he hopes Mr. Ning will be forgiving," the interpreter quickly explained.
"It’s no trouble at all; we were just being a bit sensitive. Please, Mr. Smith, forgive us," Ning ngyao said, finding the situation rather embarrassing as the man repeatedly apologized.
She could only turn her head and glare at Lin Fan.
"Hey, don’t forget, downstairs we were saying that this bastard was up to no good. I think there’s more to this than ets the eye," said Lin Fan with a wry smile, lowering his voice.
"It’s precisely because it’s so blatant that I find it unlikely. Who would deceive you one day, knowing full well you’re on guard, and try to deceive you again the next day? That would be foolish," Ning ngyao said, still on alert, but unable to spot any flaw in their façade.
She could only sit down temporarily.
Soon after, both parties started with introductions and getting to know each other.
Especially Mr. Smith, who spoke at length about the international situation with great authority and professionalism.
This made Ning ngyao increasingly trust in the dealings.
"It looks like so people really take you for a fool," Lin Fan, who was sitting behind, couldn’t see any flaws in the foreigners either.
However, he caught a barely there smile on Ning Bingcai’s face.
It was a self-assured smile of triumph.
Clearly, he felt that Ning ngyao had taken the bait.
