"Death Manipulator? Why do I feel like it’s more like a Death Overweight?"

Lin Fan stood behind the two won, unable to resist making a quip.

Their nickna sounded catchy.

But his, no matter how he heard it, sounded awkward.

But with a physique like that of a sumo wrestler.

He was indeed overweight.

"Was it you who killed my oldest disciple?"

Beitiao Jiancilang narrowed his eyes, staring at Lin Fan.

The one who had just escaped back had already recounted the events to him.

"That’s right, I did in that shorty. What are you going to do about it?"

Lin Fan asked with a smile, his arms crossed.

His eyes, however, were scanning the surroundings.

He always had a feeling sothing wasn’t right.

But he couldn’t put his finger on what was off.

"Of course I want you dead, to join my disciple in death!"

Beitiao Jiancilang shouted angrily.

It was obvious that he had really lost his temper.

"As for you, a pig demon that’s beco sentient, you’re not even qualified to fight . Your opponents are these two. If you want to fight , get past them first."

Lin Fan shrugged nonchalantly.

Out of the corner of his eye, he had already spotted the samurai on both sides.

They held their swords in their left hands, with their right hands uniformly behind their backs.

Who knows what they were hiding.

"Bai Qichao, you who have forgotten even your ancestors, don’t think the Jiujui Sect can protect you. Today, I will annihilate you, traitor!"

Zhao Jiaqi glared at Beitiao Jiancilang with hatred.

It was clear that she and Shangguan Min Yue were supposed to be the main characters.

Yet this guy simply ignored them.

Instead, he made it seem as though the two were Lin Fan’s bodyguards.

"In this lifeti, I am the master of my fate, not heaven. I’ll call myself whatever I want, and so milk-nosed Banshan Taoist like you isn’t even worthy of fighting . Your opponents are him!"

Beitiao Jiancilang stamped his foot.

A gust of cold wind suddenly descended from the rooftop to the ground.

When they saw the small figure holding a Japanese sword that was longer than his own height.

Lin Fan and Shangguan Min Yue were both taken aback.

This was Xiaoquan Jianlang, who had just been killed.

His eyes were dull, and he didn’t say a word.

His hands still tightly gripped the long handle of the sword.

The blood-stained torn clothes at his chest proved the fatal wound was still there.

"Isn’t this guy supposed to be dead?"

When Shangguan Min Yue said this, she instinctively turned her head to look at Lin Fan.

She needed his confirmation.

Lin Fan nodded.

That’s right, it was Xiaoquan Jianlang whom he had just slaughtered.

Clearly dead, but now alive again.

This must be what they call an Evil Skill.

"That’s right, he’s dead, dead as can be."

Zhao Jiaqi finally spoke.

With a complicated look in her eyes, she stared at the opposite Xiaoquan Jianlang, "To be precise, he’s now a dead man. And within the Jiuju Sect, there’s a certain evil skill that specializes in controlling corpses. It seems Bai Qichao is a whisperer who can control the dead bodies for battle through certain thods."

"Controlling corpses, that’s going to be troubleso."

Lin Fan looked at the more than twenty people lying on the ground with sudden surprise.

If it ca to corpses, the reason these people ca to et their deaths.

The answer seed obvious.

They intentionally wanted to beco corpses.

In that case, the two won were now in the midst of an encirclent.

"Attack!"

Now that the secret was out, Beitiao Jiancilang imdiately gave the order to attack.

Xiaoquan Jianlang, who had been standing still, imdiately moved forward with his sword.

His body spun like a top.

The long blade in his hand carried a fierce montum.

Directly aid at the two won.

"Insignificant skills, watch as I break your despicable technique!"

Zhao Jiaqi shouted angrily.

Her soft sword coiled forward like a nimble snake.

Shangguan Min Yue wasn’t slow either.

She drew her Qingfeng Sword and also t the attack head-on.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Sounds of tallic clashing echoed throughout the courtyard.

The two won joined forces and blocked Xiaoquan Jianlang’s attack.

But the ferocity of the opponent’s assault was much fiercer than before,

Making it hard for them to advance even an inch.

"Keep it up, I’m rooting for you!"

Seated on the steps, Lin Fan watched the fierce battle with amusent.

With no intention of getting involved, he glanced at sothing from the corner of his eye.

Buried by his side were over a dozen samurai, whose hands were rapidly forming signs.

Muttering incomprehensible incantations under their breath.

So absorbed in their task, as if no one else existed.

It wasn’t long before the anomaly finally occurred.

The bodies of the twenty or so who had been slain by the two won,

started to move.

It began with slight twitching, soon followed by the jerking of limbs.

Quickly, they stood up, picking up the fallen katana from the ground.

Silently, they charged back into the thick of the fight.

"Damn Whisperers!"

Xiaoquan Jianlang, fearlessly accepting life and death, was tough enough to deal with,

but now, so many undead warriors had joined the fray.

This doubled the pressure on Zhao Jiaqi and Shangguan Min Yue.

Yet they couldn’t ask for help from Lin Fan, who was just spectating the commotion.

They simply had to grit their teeth and fight on.

"I’ll draw his attention, you aim for his throat!"

Shangguan Min Yue flicked her Qingfeng Sword.

She leapt into the air.

Becoming a flurry of sword rain aiming for Xiaoquan Jianlang,

forcing him to focus all his attention on her.

anwhile, Zhao Jiaqi, rolling on the spot and ending up in a rather disheveled state on the ground,

raised her Soft Sword at an awkward angle, thrusting toward the enemy’s chin.

"Pfft!"

Sure enough, this teamwork left Xiaoquan Jianlang wide open,

and the strike precisely hit his vital point.

"Got it!"

There on the ground, Zhao Jiaqi’s eyes widened with excitent.

But unexpectedly, the next second, the opponent reached out a hand, grabbing the sword blade lodged in his throat.

At the sa ti, his right foot kicked out, striking her squarely in the abdon.

The massive force sent her flying five or six ters away,

crashing against the low wall beside the steps.

"Pikachu, we et again."

As Zhao Jiaqi’s back seared with pain,

Lin Fan’s disdainful voice reached her.

Only then did she realize she was sitting with her legs crossed,

with Lin Fan having a clear view of everything beneath her skirt.

"You lecher... aren’t you going to help out?"

Instinctively, she pressed down on her skirt,

as Zhao Jiaqi shouted angrily.

But the collision left her fair legs covered in bruises,

and she grimaced in pain the mont she tried to move.

"Isn’t it you who told to watch? I’m just following the awe-inspiring example of the Banshan Taoist. Except, I didn’t get to see the awe, just Pikachu. Are you trying to seduce on purpose?"

Lin Fan said with a cigarette dangling from his lips, blinking his eyes.

It must be said, from this angle, the view was indeed beautiful.

"Bullshit!"

Zhao Jiaqi, propping herself up amid the pain, struggled to her feet.

Observing the Soft Sword still lodged in Xiaoquan Jianlang’s throat,

she realized this guy was totally immune to blades.

"Everyone’s a corpse here; do you really think attacking the throat is going to work? Can’t you use your brain a bit in your actions? With such skill, and you still claim to fight evil and uphold justice. Dressing like that and going to people’s doors is just delivering blessings to them!"

Lin Fan rolled his eyes disdainfully.

Without even showing their trump cards, they were already struggling to cope.

It just showed their courageous ignorance isn’t tempered by strength.

"Then... then what should we do?"

Zhao Jiaqi was at a loss for ideas.

After all, it was her first encounter with Whisperers.

Watching as Shangguan Min Yue beca increasingly surrounded in the midst of battle,

she was anxious and desperate but unable to lend a hand.

"If you want to know, shouldn’t there be so benefits for ?"

Lin Fan winked suggestively, smiling slyly.

Seeing his dubious grin, Zhao Jiaqi clenched her teeth and asked,

"What do... you want?"

"I want!"

Lin Fan’s reply made Zhao Jiaqi pause,

lost for a mont, about to ask for clarification.

Then it hit her.

"You’re such a lecher!"
