At midnight, Ning ngyao tiptoed into the courtyard.

She seldom returned late, but tonight she deliberately stayed out until late.

It was all to avoid her grandfather.

"You actually decided to co back!"

Just as she was about to sneak into East Cross Court,

Ning Zhenyue was already sitting there, waiting for her.

"Grandpa, you're still not sleeping this late?"

Ning ngyao smiled awkwardly.

Over the years, her grandfather always went to bed punctually at ten o'clock.

"How can I sleep? Tell , what was the aning of what happened in the marketing departnt today?"

Ning Zhenyue said with a stern face.

"Grandpa, what happened with the marketing departnt?"

Ning ngyao feigned ignorance.

"Don't give that act. I let my son-in-law work at the company, even agreed for him to start from the bottom. But what do you do? You set him tasks that are impossible to complete and say he would be considered as quitting if he fails. Are you trying to make a fool of ?"

Ning Zhenyue slamd the table, glaring angrily at his granddaughter.

Having raised her himself, he knew very well what his granddaughter was like.

"Grandpa, I'm being frad. I was busy with other work all day today, I had no idea about the marketing departnt. How about I inquire tomorrow at work what this impossible task actually is."

Ning ngyao quickly rushed to her grandfather's side, displaying a coquettish deanor.

Yet, in her heart, she held contempt for the person who had inford on her.

She didn't need to ask; it had to have been that guy reporting back.

"ng Yao, your son-in-law is an extrely capable person, you really need to cherish him, our old friend once said, 'having a dragon son-in-law ans success everywhere.' If you dare to mistreat him, I will not forgive you."

Ning Zhenyue said with a cold face.

The way Lin Fan perford today could only be described as shocking.

Although he didn't know what had happened in the courtyard, Luo Jiuying really did wake up.

He took him along as soon as they left the door and has not returned since.

Just from the way the two of them cowered in front of him, it was evident.

He really had gained a dragon son-in-law.

"Grandpa, don't worry, how could I mistreat him? Rest assured, I will take good care of him. The night air is cool; it's best if you go back to your room and sleep. When I see him, I will definitely apologize."

After much coaxing, Ning ngyao finally managed to send her grandfather out.

When she returned to her room and confird that the person was not there, she finally felt relieved.

"Tattletale, just so you know, as long as I am here, don't even think about sticking around at the company."

Ning ngyao grumbled furiously.

Only then did she contentedly lie down on the comfortable bed.

As for tomorrow's matters, she would deal with them tomorrow.

Unbeknownst to Lin Fan, at this very mont, he was sitting in the Martial Alliance gymnasium.

Following a lavish feast, naturally ca the two old n's favorite pasti of playing chess.

However, in Lin Fan's view, combined, these two were just twice the usual bad chess players.

"Alright, I'm done playing with you guys; I still have to work tomorrow."

A chess ga was swiftly ended by Lin Fan cornering his opponent.

He threw down the white pieces on the board and prepared to go ho to sleep.

"Boss, you still need to work? If you need money, I can give you so,"

"If the boss is reluctant to take it for nothing, let's just call it a ga transaction fee, how about ten million per ga?"

Luo Jiuying and Li Yizhen looked at Lin Fan almost in disbelief.

With his skills, did he really need to earn that pitiful, shaful money?

"I work to contribute to modernization; you rich folks are just too worldly."

Lin Fan disdainfully rolled his eyes at the two n.

He was working there just to woo his wife.

"The boss really knows what he's doing. I admire him. Which company is the boss working at? We'd also like to pay a visit in the future."

Luo Jiuying hurriedly clasped his fists and said.

"I joined the marketing departnt of the Ning Group today, but you guys shouldn't bother coming. It's still uncertain whether I'll pass the probation period. Now I'm going ho to sleep. I have to go to First Hospital early tomorrow to see if I can finalize the contract."

Lin Fan stood up and walked outside.

The two naturally accompanied him all the way and arranged for soone to take him ho.

When the two of them returned to the living room, their expressions instantly beca somber.

The playful mischievousness of earlier was gone.

Luo Jiuying dismissed the others and called his son over.

"Investigate the cooperation between the Ning Group and First Hospital imdiately."

"Yes!"

As a mber of the Martial Alliance, he definitely operated in both the realms of black and white.

"The Ning Group has a dical equipnt division. They have tried negotiating with First Hospital several tis but were unsuccessful because Chen Group is the supplier there, and it has a much bigger base than the Ning Group."

Half an hour later, Luo Shaoyong had the investigation results.

This was not a business secret; a few phone calls later, the information was obtained.

"Notify First Hospital that I want to see the person in charge and all the shareholders in the hospital tomorrow morning," Luo Jiuying ordered after thinking it over.

"Dad, isn't it unnecessary for you to show up personally for this? I can just make a call to Chen Group to cut off supply and transfer the supply rights to the Ning Group."

Luo Shaoyong spoke casually.

It was just a multi-million dollar project.

With the influence of the Martial Alliance, Chen Group would certainly not dare to defy.

"No, I must go myself. And rember, from today on, you must watch Lin Fan closely twenty-four hours a day, et any of his needs, even if it ans employing all the resources of the Martial Alliance. Understood?"

Luo Jiuying's expression was grave.

"Using all of the Martial Alliance's resources just for soone skilled in dicine? Isn't that a bit of an overreaction?"

Luo Shaoyong was startled and asked doubtfully.

"Do you think being skilled in dicine is a trivial matter?"

Li Yizhen's expression beca serious,

and his voice deepened.

"Mr. Li... I... I didn't an that... I just think that employing so much of the Martial Alliance's power... might be inappropriate!"

Luo Shaoyong quickly shook his head, not daring to underestimate Li Yizhen.

After all, over the years, many of Jiangning's elite had been greatly benefitted by him.

If he ordered it, no one could withstand the retaliation of the Divine Doctor.

"You don't understand a damn thing. He's not only a master of dicine but also has achieved a level of cultivation you could never reach in your lifeti. Do you think it's just ordinary dical skill that brought your father back from death and made him a sky-level master overnight?"

Li Yizhen glared at Luo Shaoyong angrily.

Upon hearing this, Luo Shaoyong looked at his father in astonishnt.

"That's right, although this man's background is unclear, he is definitely one of the top experts. I have t many people in my life, but I can't see through him. His strength is beyond anything known. If he wanted, I suspect no one in Jiangning could stand against him. If we don't win him over, the day he stands against us might be the day the Martial Alliance falls. So rember, you must treat him even better than you treat !"

Luo Jiuying clenched his fists.

The breakthrough that hadn't co for decades was easily achieved by him.

This shock was too imnse.

While the father and son were talking, Li Yizhen suddenly stood up and walked out.

Luo Jiuying quickly called out to him.

"Hey, Mr. Li, where are you going? Didn't we agree on seven days and nights?"

"I need to call my granddaughter and tell her to hurry back for a matchmaking!"
