Mu Can looked at the Undead Knight before him and asked, "Who are you?"
The Undead Knight looked at Mu Can with a puzzled expression, the Soul Fire within his hollow eye sockets flickering rapidly.
It was evident that the Undead Knight was trying hard to think about the question Mu Can had asked him, but it seed to be a bit profound for him.
After struggling for a while, the Undead Knight stopped his attempt and a surge of Spiritual Power was emitted, "I don’t know who I am?"
Mu Can contemplated for a bit and then said, "You are my good friend."
Mu Can was now making another attempt—if the artificially evolved Undead Creatures were susceptible to brainwashing, then he could build his own Undead Army here.
Even Mu Can had a suspicion that perhaps the most powerful Undead Creature in this world may not necessarily be an Undead Creature at all.
But this speculation was too astonishing, even he himself dared not believe it.
The Undead Creature looked at Mu Can, and after a violent fluctuation of Divine Sense, a ssage ca through, "I am your good friend."
A look of delight appeared on Mu Can’s face; this was a good on. Since Undead Creatures could learn, it ant he could brainwash them.
Seizing the mont, Mu Can asked, "Do you know what friends are?"
The Undead Creature looked at Mu Can and slowly said, "Friend, what is a friend?"
Wang Cai and Toad watched the exchange between Mu Can and the Undead Creature, feeling speechless.
It sohow felt like they were witnessing the education of a child.
Wang Cai looked up at Mu Can and said, "I think you should start with the most basic things to tell him. He is like a blank sheet of paper with nothing in his mind."
Wang Cai’s words gave Mu Can an epiphany; it was true for the previous Undead Creature as well, who acted purely on instinct, like a blank sheet of paper. Only the Undead Commanders possessed true Spiritual Wisdom and were responsible for commanding the movents of the Undead Army.
So, the question arose: how did those Undead Commanders co to understand this world?
Could it be that soone had taught them after they gained Spiritual Wisdom?
"Second Rascal, go out and find a way to capture an Undead Commander but rember not to attract too many Undead Creatures," Mu Can said to the Toad.
This task wasn’t too complex; capturing an Undead Commander would reveal everything.
The Toad nodded and instantly disappeared into the Array. Not long after, the Toad returned, dragging an Undead Commander who rode an Undead Warhorse.
Mu Can saw a comical scene: the Toad’s tiny figure was running while dragging an Undead Commander many tis its size.
Mu Can was pleased; the Toad was quite reliable at getting things done. But as the Toad approached, it yelled out loud for them to run.
Only then did Mu Can see that dozens of Undead Commanders were following the Toad, riding horses and chasing after him.
"Damn it, run!" Mu Can cursed and hurriedly took the Undead Knight he had brought out into the New World, then he and Wang Cai sprinted away as fast as they could.
They ran with an exhilarating speed. When groups of Undead Creatures appeared, Mu Can had not an ounce of fighting will.
Moreover, these Undead Commanders are almost all of Commander Level strength in the All Things Realm; even if Mu Can wanted to fight, he would be no match for them.
"No good, can’t outrun them." Mu Can felt the distance between himself and those Undead Commanders was slowly closing.
He quickly grabbed the Toad, and in an instant, they entered into the New World.
The New World within the Reincarnation Pearl was their best hiding place, but that was only against these Undead Creatures with low Spiritual Wisdom.
If it were any other being from the All Things Realm, they might defend this place to the death, but would still need to wait for Mu Can and his party to erge.
"Er Lai, what kind of job is this?" Once inside the New World, Mu Can finally set his mind at ease.
Looking at Er Lai perched atop the head of an Undead Commander, who was dumbly staring at the previously thrown-in Undead Knight.
Mu Can imdiately felt a surge of Divine Sense fluctuations coming from the Commander’s Sea of Consciousness: "How did you evolve?"
He must have mistaken the Undead Knight as one of its own kind; Mu Can confird his guess right away.
There had to be sothing akin to an inheritance among these Undead Creatures.
Every newly promoted Knight or Commander Level Undead Creature had to go through an inheritance.
Just as the Undead Commander was about to speak, Mu Can waved his hand to transport him to a quiet place and imdiately began a Confinent.
"We should have co here to conduct our experints earlier; it was too dangerous outside." The Toad croaked, having searched for a long ti before finding an Undead Commander, but as it captured one, it found several Undead Commanders of the sa level sitting opposite to it.
They seed to be having a eting; the Toad instantly felt shivers down its spine as the scenes of being chased by the Undead with no escape surfaced in its mind.
The Toad quickly took control of the Undead Commander in its hand and bolted.
"You all need to teach him so basic things first; he’s a blank slate right now, rember to teach him so good stuff." Mu Can looked at Xiao Fuqi and his group, perfect for teaching the Undead Knight they brought along so common knowledge.
anwhile, Mu Can took Wang Cai and Er Lai straight to where the Undead Commanders were being confined.
Mu Can observed the Undead Commander; the difference between Commanders and Knights was evident—the Commander’s warhorse looked much bigger than the Undead Knight’s warhorse.
"What’s your na?" Mu Can asked, knowing the Commander in front of him would understand his words.
After hearing Mu Can’s question, the Undead Commander proudly raised its head and said coldly, "You, a re food, also deserve to know my na?"
That’s right, the lower and upper jaws of the Undead Commander moved as if speaking like a human, not through the fluctuations of spiritual sense with Soul Fire.
Mu Can was instantly provoked and asked, "You can speak?"
Clearly devoid of any organs on its body, just a skeleton, yet able to talk like a normal person, producing a voice.
It was nothing short of a miracle.
The Soul Fire within the skull of the Undead Commander flickered, seemingly irritated by Mu Can’s question: "You, re food, can speak, what’s so strange about speaking?"
"Alright then, if you can speak, that makes things easier. I ask you, who is your language teacher?" Mu Can looked at the Undead Commander and said with a smile.
Capturing just one would surely unlock the secrets among the Undead Creatures.
