A strong dicinal aroma wafted in the air as Zhan Chen heated the dicinal herb. A thick dicinal liquid ca from the dicinal herb as he kept heating it with precise control.
It took five minutes to extract the dicinal herb. Then he picked up another one and treated it as before. Whole process took him an entire hour. Beads of sweat drops were rolling out from his head as he finished with all the spirit dicines.
His face was pale but still a grin appeared on his face. "My injuries will be gone after this", he thought to himself.
"Chen-er, what are you doing? Can I co inside?
Zhan Chen smiled after listening his mother's voice. "Mother, please co in", he replied imdiately.
Li Qingzhao pushed upon the door and ca inside. She looked curiously at Zhan Chen. "Chen-er, what are you doing?", a curious look appeared on her face.
"Mother, I am preparing a dicinal bath for ", Zhan Chen replied with a smile. "Hmm, what a good sll. what have you added in it?", Zhan Qingzhao's curiosity rose after she took in the aroma of dicinal herbs.
"Mother, I can move again after taking this dicinal bath", Zhan Chen looked at his mother with a smile.
"Chen-er, are you joking with your mother? How can a dicinal bath heal your body?", Li Qingzhao spoke softly as she reached her hand to tousle his hair.
It was obvious that she wouldn't believed him because even the vice-head of alchemy association failed to do so. She thought Zhan Chen was telling lies to make her feel better. A affectionate look appeared on her face as she looked at Zhan Chen.
"Chen-er, what did you want to eat tonight? I will personally prepare it for you", Li Qingzhao smiled at Zhan Chen. "I want to eat roasted duck", Zhan Chen replied with a excited look on his face.
"Ok, then. I am going. I will tell the maids to help you with your bath", Li Qingzhao left with a smile on her face.
"No one believes an honest man", Zhan Chen shook his head. Maids ca over and helped him to enter the bath tub.
Zhan Chen sat in the bathtub leisurely as dicinal essence entered his body. His hidden injuries started to heal on their own. Zhan Chen let go his all of the worry and focused on absorbing the dicinal essence mixed in the bathtub.
He circulated the dicinal strength into all parts of his body. "What is this?", his brows furrowed as he noticed a problem.
He noticed that the dicinal strengths couldn't circulate properly inside his opened ridians. His soul consciousness entered his body and he felt extre rage as he witnessed the scene inside.
He show the convergence ridian which was just above his dantian region fractured. From the look of it, he imdiately deduced it was not fractured naturally but soone had did it with malicious intention.
He wracked his brain to recall anyone striking his dantian region. A incident appeared on his mind as the look on his face turned ugly.
"No wonder I couldn't progress in these five years", he thought to himself. He recalled betrayal in his past life and his eyes grew cold. "I was indeed too naive. I had not noticed the ugly side of cultivation world untill the last mont", he thought to himself.
"Fortunately it is only a crack. It is still treatable with these dicinal essence", he thought to himself. He guided the dicinal essence with his soul energy and let it flow towards his convergence ridian.
The fractured ridian didn't show sign of healing imdiately. Zhan Chen guided the the dicinal essence patiently. Beads of sweats started to appear on his head as he kept using his soul.
What Zhan Chen was doing was impossible for many people. It needed delicate control over soul energy. As a genius in alchemy, he had experience in using soul in such a manner. Otherwise he couldn't have healed his ridian even if he used a third grade or fourth grade pill.
His ridian showed sign of recovering after fifteen minute. It took almond half an hour to fully heal. Zhan Chen had a pale look when he was finished with his ridian. He was already gasping in last ten minutes. It was clear that the consumption of his soul strength was enormous in the treatnt of his ridian.
Zhan Chen felt dizzy but he still greeted his teeth and held on. He couldn't sleep as he was still absorbing the dicinal essence from the bath tub.
"Young master, what are you doing?", ca the curious voice of a little girl. Zhan Chen smiled after listening the voice of Little Tao.
"Little Tao, I am busy in doing sothing. Co back when it is ti for dinner", he replied in a soft voice. He gained so colour in his face after an hour. He was still absorbing the dicinal essence from the bath tub. There were many cracked bones inside his body. Zhan Chen didn't want to leave any hidden injury. So, he waited patiently to absorb all the dicinal strength from the bath tub.
It took another hour to fully absorb the dicinal essence. Zhan Chen tried to move himself this ti but he felt pain all over his body. "I can't be rash. The dicinal essence needs so ti show its effect", he thought to himself.
He called for the maids and they helped him to move back to his bed. After soti Li Qingzhao entered with little Tao. Zhan Qingyue was following them from behind.
Zhan Chen saw Qingyue and a smile appeared on his pale face. He was not immature like Zhan Qingyue. He was previously unsure but after seeing her emotion for him, he knew what to do.
Zhan Qingyue didn't look at his eyes. She quickly took look at him and then lowered her head. What happened today was still vivid in her mind. So, she was too shy to talk to him.
"Chen-er, let's have dinner together", Li Qingzhao spoke with a smile. Zhan Chen nodded and Li Qingzhao started to prepare their dishes. Little Tao and Zhan Qingyue helped her.
Zhan Chen felt his hunger flared up after Li Qingzhao uncovered the roasted duck. Soon, dishes were prepared and everyone started eating the roasted duck.
"Mother's cooking is best", Zhan Chen said with a smile. Little Tao and Qingyue nodded their head in agreent.
"Mother, I want to ask you sothing", Zhan Chen looked at his mother.
