"Husband, we are almost near the Grey ash city. If there are no movent from the devils, we can visit my room right away", Shui Liying spoke. There was faint desire and anticipation in her eyes as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
"Liying, you are looking very beautiful", Zhan Chen spoke as she stretched his hand to caress her face. She was looking like an otherworldly goddess under the shimring moonlight.
Shui Liying's face reddened slightly after she heard Zhan Chen's praise. Her heartbeat quickened as Zhan Chen caressed her face with his hand.
"Husband, just a little bit of patience. We are reaching the Grey ash city very soon", Shui Liying spoke. She couldn't make eye contactwith Zhan Chen any more as she was feeling very shy all of a sudden.
Zhan Chen continued to admire the embarassed beauty as he traveled with her under the moonlight. There was posessiveness and desire in his eyes as he looked towards Shui Liying.
"Hmm!", Zhan Chen suddenly felt a very dangerous sensation while he was admiring Shui Liying's beauty.
"Liying, put up the barrier", he yelled out. The next mont a long slash ca crashing towards Shui Liying's flying boat. Shui Liying activated the defensive barrier at the nick of the mont as the long slash crashed on the defensive barrier.
"Boom", a loud sound was heard as Zhan Chen and Shui Liying both got got shaken by the impact of the attack. There were so cracks appeared on the defensive barrier as the flying boat absorbed the impact from the attack.
"Liying, store away your flying boat otherwise it will not last another attack", Zhan Chen warned Shui Liying. "But husband, I have yet to locate the enemy", Shui Liying spoke. She was very anxious at this mont as she tried to locate the attacking enemy with her soul consciousness.
"Liying, another attack coming from our left side", Zhan Chen warned. Shui Liying moved her flying boat forward hurriedly but the attack still grazed one end of the flying boat. The cracks on the defensive barrier lengthened as the forward movent of the flying boat lessened the impact of the attack.
"Husband, what should I do? I can protect myself but you can't probably survive these attacks", Shui Liying asked with an anxious voice. She had a worried expression on her face as she tried her best to locate the enemy.
"Liying, store away your flying treasure first. You don't have to worry about ", Zhan Chen spoke.
"But husband....", Shui Liying wanted to say sothing but Zhan Chen stopped her in the midway of the sentence.
"Liying, beleive . Nothing will happen to ", Zhan Chen spoke. Shui Liying was reluctant initially but she chose to give in to Zhan Chen's words after seeing look of confidence in Zhan Chen's eyes.
"Husband, stay closer to . I will protect you from any harm", Shui Liying spoke after storing away her flying treasure. She took out her sword as she stood infront of Zhan Chen with a defensive posture.
"What a surprise! Humans still have a late stage emperor with them in the Grey ash city", a voice ca out as a figure materialized infront of Shui Liying and Zhan Chen. He was a middle aged person with crimson hair on his forehead. His every feature was human like except the single horn growing out from his forehead.
"A late stage devil emperor!", Shui Liying murmured to herself. She beca more alert as she started to gather energy from the surrounding.
"You don't look like a warrior to . Moreover, you are trying to protect an ant from my attack. Let's see how much ti you can last infront of my Hell tempest technique", the devil spoke. He swung the sabre he was holding and lau ched an attack towards Shui Liying straight away.
The attack appeared extrely plain and simple but Shui Liying was cautious nevertheless. She swung her longsword and launched a slash towards the incoming attack.
To her surprise, the devil's attack divided into seven parts before colliding into her attack. Her attack only managed to stop one portion of devil's attack. Other six attacks from the devil ca crashing towards her body.
She swung her sword again and launched another slash towards the six incoming attacks. She managed to fend off the devil's attack but the devil launched another attack towards her in the anti.
"Playing tricks! Not under my watch", Zhan Chen who was silent untill now spoke. He could clearly see that the devil was using his battle expertise and cunningness to defeat Shui Liying.
Shui Liying was talented but she couldn't match a devil who had gone through countless battles in his life ti. It took only a few attacks from the devil to gain an advantage over Shui Liying. Moreover, she was protecting him. So, she couldn't use her skills freely as she was constantly worried about his wellbeing.
"Celestial night, co out. Let the battle with an enemy emperor our first battle together", Zhan Chen spoke. A streak of light ca out from his body and turned into a pitch black sword which hovered infront of him.
Before Shui Liying could tell anything Zhan Chen used the Ethereal cloud steps and charged towards the enemy emperor with the sword in his hand. "What is an ant trying to do?", the devil felt amused at first. But soon a cautious expression appeared on his face when he sensed the battle intent of Zhan Chen.
"Heart sword, Seven rays of sacred sun", Zhan Chen roared out as he closed the distance between the devil emperor and himself. The movent of his sword was surprising Swift as he launched nurous slashed towards the devil emperor within the blink of an eye.
"It is nothing", the devil emperor proclaid as he swung his sabre twice in the air. Two very long slashed ca out as they charged towards Zhan Chen's attacks.
To his surprise, all of Zhan Chen's attacks scattered away all of a sudden as they avoided his two slashes. Then as if Zhan Chen's attacks had their own minds, they ca crashing towards his body.
The devil emperor was taken aback by the ingenuity of the attack. He hurriedly put up an energy barrier around his body as Zhan Chen's attack ca crashing towards him.
To his surprise, two of the Zhan 's attacks mixed together before crashing on his body and left a deep cut on his hand. His chest would have got wounded if he was not wearing a battle armour.
"Bastard, how is this possible? What kind of sword technique is this?", the devil exclaid loudly. He was in lose of words as he looked towards the puny human who was like an ant to him.
