Li Yan found Zhan Chen looking at her when she opened her eyes next day morning. Li Shu, Kai Min and Zhan Qingyue were also there when she opened her eyes.
She looked blankly towards everyone for a while. Then two drops of tear ca out from her eyes moistening her cheeks.
"I thought I am done for", she spoke with a blank look on her face.
"Big sis Yan", Li Shu ca over and cried her heart out. Kai Min also couldn't control her tear after seeing Li Yan opening her eyes.
"How did I survive?", she asked Li Shu after a while. Li Shu looked towards Zhan Chen and recounted the events of that day briefly.
A complicated look appeared on her face after she heard what happened that day. She was adamant on fighting on her own because she didn't want to take help of Zhan Chen in finding a sect.
But the reality was cruel. She wouldn't have survived the competetion if it was not for Zhan Chen's interference.
"Zhan Chen, what should I say to you? re thanks is not enough for expressing my thoughts", Li Yan looked towards Zhan Chen.
"No need to think much. It is great that you have survived. You still need to rest. We will talk later after you recuperate completely ", Zhan Chen replied her with a gentle look on his face.
Li Yan nodded her head and stayed silent. Li Shu stayed back with her and others followed Zhan Chen out of the room.
"Zhan Chen, soone is here to see you", Lu Tai Cang spoke when Zhan Chen entered the main hall.
"Oh, who is it?", Zhan Chen asked and entered inside the main hall. There was an old expert sitting beside Lu Tai Cang. He had a curious look on his face as he looked at Zhan Chen.
"Greetings senior", Zhan Chen bowed slightly towards the old expert.
"You are indeed an interesting young man. I am planning to observe you for a while before deciding what to do but now there is no other option", the expert spoke while tousling his long white beard.
"Senior, I don't understand", Zhan Chen spoke with a confused looking face.
"Soone from my sect wants to see you. So, why don't co with ? We will co back before the start of the competition", the expert spoke.
"Zhan Chen, you should go. Brother Chao will never harm you. I will be here untill you co back", Lu Tai Cang spoke.
"Senior, may I inquiry your sect na?", Zhan Chen looked towards the old expert beside Lu Tai Cang.
"I am from the Xuantian sect. The person who is looking to et you is also from my Xuantian sect. He is an exalted person of our sect. So, I am left with no other option than eting you", the expert explained with a helpless look on his face.
'This old man infront of is already a peak Tribulation realm expert. Then what kind of person is wishing to et ", Zhan Chen thought to himself.
'Nevertheless I am already planning to enter the Xuantian sect since the beginning. The Heavenly sword sect is not an option. So, I am left with few choices and the Xuantian sect is the best pick. Let's see what they have to say when I et them', Zhan Chen thought to himself.
He took only few monts for pondering before agreeing to the expert's request. A smile appeared on the expert's stoic face after seeing Zhan Chen 's response.
"Tai Cang, it is unfortunate that I can't take you to that senior of mine. Otherwise, his guidance would have really helped you in improving your cultivation", the expert spoke before leaving with Zhan Chen.
A surprised expression appeared on Lu Tai Cang 's face after he heard what the expert had said. "Which old monster of the Xuantian sect has co this ti? Ying Chao is so respectful towards him. It ans he most be soone from the ancestoral caves of the Xuantian sect!", Lu Tai Cang murmured to himself.

Ying Chao took Zhan Chen towards the central part of the Longyang city. They had co across several flying treasures while flying towards their destination.
"The Longyang city seems more bustling today. Moreover, I can sense several powerful auras scanning us from afar", Zhan Chen thought to himself.
"How is your relationship with the Shen clan?", Ying Chao asked after staying silent for a while.
"It is good. They are the ones with whom I have travelled to the Central land", Zhan Chen replied. He threw a puzzled look towards Ying Chao after hearing him talking about the Shen clan.
"They will most probably not attend the Grand sect competition this ti", Ying Chao spoke.
"What happened to them?", Zhan Chen asked with a startled look on his face.
"They are attacked just after crossing the Luan province. They have managed to defend themselves but I heard that one of their Heavenly tribulation realm expert is seriously injured", Ying Chao spoke.
"When did it happen?", Zhan Chen inquired.
"Probably yesterday", Ying Chao answered.
Zhan Chen furrowed his brows for a while as various thoughts ca into his mind. He took few monts to calm himself down and thanked Ying Chao.
"Many thanks senior for informing about the news of the Shen clan".
"No problem. I have heard that you have so relationship with them. So, I thought it is better to inform you about this matter", Ying Chao spoke.
He controlled the flying treasure to increase its speed and finally entered the central part of the Longyang city. There was a simple looking mansion at the corner of a street.
Ying Chao stopped the flying treasure near it and asked Zhan Chen to step out of the flying treasure.
There seed to be no one present inside the stone mansion. Ying Chao waited patiently for a while after entering inside a long hall.
"Bring him to the courtyard", a voice heard inside the long hall.
"Yes ancestor", Ying Chao respectfully spoke and led Zhan Chen towards a small courtyard at the back of the mansion.
There was a person waiting for both Zhan Chen and Ying Chao when they entered inside the courtyard. He was a middle aged man with an amiable look on his face.
There was no aura around him as he appeared like an average middle aged man. But that simple ordinariness made him extraordinary in the eyes of Zhan Chen.
"A peak emperor realm expert!", Zhan Chen thought to himself with an unchanged look on his face. But inwardly he stay alard because such an expert could create greate headache for him with his cultivation.
"Little friend, sorry for bothering you. , moving around in the city is little inconvenient. So, I asked little Chao to bring you here. I hope you don't mind", the middle aged man spoke with an apologetic look on his face.
Ying Chao felt it incomprehensible when he saw the senior of his sect acting so cordially with Zhan Chen.
Zhan Chen also felt slightly surprised as he couldn't understand why the peak emperor realm expert acting so friendly with him! A curious look appeared on his face as he looked towards the emperor realm expert infront of him.
