"Hmm? Shortcuts? No…"

Morgana looked confused as to why Ian was focusing on that, but she still explained lightly, as if it didn't matter.

"To be honest, I was a little lucky at that time. I don't know why, but that day I was running from the Krakens as usual along the border of the Grand Formation when the sea suddenly shook."

Morgana said, recalling that day clearly in her mind.

"Then, suddenly, I felt a chilling abyssal presence nearby that almost made my breath stop. But fortunately, before it could take hold, a rift opened right in front of me, pulling me into this continent."

"Hmm? A rift?"

Ian asked, clearly surprised.

'So, did that event indirectly affect her, too?'

He remembered that day on the Deepsire when Ron did the ritual to summon the demon, which ultimately summoned the powerful entity instead.

He still had the demon essence and the Iron rank Starwell token with him after that event.

But he never thought that not only did that event push Carl to this continent earlier, even Morgana was inevitably transported alongside via an unexpected rift.

'Is this what you call plot correction?'

Ian thought, feeling intrigued. If he weren't in this place and didn't interfere, he was sure that Morgana and Carl would be quite close now.

'But now...'

He couldn't help but smirk unconsciously while grabbing the soft breast in his hand, gaining a moan from Moragana.

"Yeah, I don't know what happened, but I still managed to get rid of their pursuit. It is just that my body was already poisoned badly, and I needed the antidote fast. Since I knew no one here, I entered this place somehow."

She said and lightly slapped Ian's chest in plaint,

"It is just that I never thought there was another person inside that tower, and that too a freak. You almost killed me there."

She could still remember Ian's spell that almost took her life. If she hadn't used the treasure, she wouldn't be here.

"Haha...but you are the one who attacked me first, weren't you?"

Ian burst into laughter at the sight of Moragan's adorable pout.

"Besides, I also helped you get rid of that poison, didn't I? Now, you are free and...satisfied."

He whispered in her ear while also biting the tip lightly, causing Morgana to shiver in his arms.

"Ian, stop, I am...tired."

Morgan felt his hot breath on her ears and restless hands on her bosom and protested. After such a long and arduous training, she now just wants to relax and do nothing else.

Besides, they were still in the secret realm after all, and it wasn't a good idea to waste too much time.

"Okay, then you go and rest. Also, see if that guy Arvahel is okay. We will leave after a few days once my pet awakens."

Ian had many things to do now, and wanted to have some alone time too.

"Umm...!"

Morgana nodded in understanding, stood up, and wore a new dress with a light wave of her hand. Her previous dress was already torn apart by Ian, and only the crumpled remains were left on the ground.

After making sure she looked good, she lightly stepped towards Ian, kissed his cheek, whispering softly,

"I will wait for you, then."

She said it with a beautiful smile before draping another black robe over her body. Her figure and face, once tightly bound by her clothes, shifted simultaneously, returning to the same disguised appearance as before.

Only her eyes remained unchanged as they looked at Ian, though quite differently now. Where they once held curiosity and caution, they were now filled with reluctance, affection, and even a touch of lust.

'This demoness!'

Ian watched Morgana leave with light steps and a smile, shaking his head. He understood perfectly well what she meant by waiting for him.

'Okay, let's finally look at the rewards I got, shall we?'

Once Ian allowed Morgana to leave the barrier of the Nyxroot Larvae, he sealed the perimeter again and sat down on the ground.

At last, after so many twists and turns, he had time to check his system. If the system were sentient, it might have pouted in disappointment at being neglected. Fortunately, it wasn't.

'I think I've pleted three quests now, right?'

Ian thought back to the quests he had received before entering the Atali Ruin.

These were the three quests that Ian had successfully pleted until now, for which the system had already prompted him with the rewards.

It was just that he was too busy to check them out before.

And besides pleting these quests, Ian also gained a Spiritual fire, Breath of the First Flame, a Peak Tier 1 Elemental, Sylvan Warden, a rare rank artifact, Mirror, and even a Sanguis Core.
