"Then… what about Yela?"
Zane asked Ian with incredulous eyes as if he was more surprised than when he found out Ron was under Ian's control.
"Of course, she isn't. What are you thinking?"
Ian rolled his eyes speechlessly.
Did he think he would enslave anyone he saw in his path? Moreover, the only essence of the pact he had was already used on Zane.
Not to ntion, he couldn't play with such things recklessly yet, as he was too weak.
"Oh, that's a bumr."
Hearing Ian's words, Zane sighed a little as if in dissatisfaction, causing Ian to look at him weirdly.
Now he began to wonder whether his decision to allow Zane to go for now and help him was correct.
"Haha... don't think too much, I was just asking. Let's go now, otherwise, they might get suspicious."
Maybe because Zane was too sensitive, he imdiately noticed Ian's look and laughed to ease the embarrassnt.
Then, without hesitation, he waved his hand, causing the barrier around them to disappear, converting it back into the cube, which Zane imdiately kept inside his mana ring.
It seed he was afraid that Ian would ask for it if he was a bit late.
'Can you be stingy enough?'
The more Zane behaved this way, the more Ian felt like he was an immature kid. But since the barrier had been removed, Ian didn't linger any further and directly made his way toward the girls.
On the way, he could see that Yela was still beside them and hadn't left her position yet.
"So, what did that guy tell you?"
It seed she was really concerned about Zane's proposal, as the mont Ian arrived, Yela asked curiously.
"Why do you ask? It's a talk between n. Why are you curious?"
Seeing her snooping in, Ian smiled a little and asked with intrigue.
"Tch... why are you acting cocky? I'm just trying to warn you for your own good. Although his connection is good in the Mystic Circle, he cannot help you enter the Celestial Council. Be careful about what you choose."
Yela rolled her eyes at Ian's smirking look and berated him lightly before heading back to her place.
It was still the first day of their eting, and she was in no hurry to cater to Ian. Although his talent as a potionist seed good, she would make plans after he went through the thorough test in the Mystic Circle.
If his potential was good enough to make an advanced potion like an ascension potion, then giving him a few advantages here and there wasn't hard for her.
"How do you two feel?"
Ian didn't care what Yela thought, turned toward Lyra and Aurora, and asked.
"I am fine."
"Yeah, it's much better than before."
Hearing Ian's concern, Aurora and Lyra replied with a smile. After drinking his Serenity Potion, they felt much better.
And in fact, even his rough pill seed good, as all the apprentices and knights around looked much better than before.
Especially, Ian saw Henry laughing around with a smile on his lips as if boasting about sothing.
So, the atmosphere around here had beco a little better after he helped them get rid of their dizziness.
"That's good then."
"I think it won't take more than a few days to reach Arcane Highlands with Lina's speed. Why don't we practice so spells in this spare ti?"
Ian suggested after seeing that there seed to be no other things to do on this journey.
Heck, because of Lina's extre and uneven speed, even seeing the outside scenery was out of the question.
And if not for such a bad condition, Ian really wanted to practice ditation, as the mana here was abundant everywhere.
"Umm..."
"Okay..."
Aurora and Lyra also didn't know what to do, so they agreed with Ian's proposal. For them, as long as they were with Ian, they didn't feel bored.
...
[Calvora Continent, Arcane Highlands]
"Swish!"
In the vast sky above, where one couldn't see the bounds, an extrely large figure flew across, its shadow swallowing the land below as a mighty Leviathan soared with an ancient, dignified presence.
From its size alone, one might wonder how it could float in the sky, let alone fly with such extre speed.
And the most intriguing part was that despite the Leviathan looking daunting with its massive size, on its back, a large number of people were standing, looking at the scenery below in wonder.
"Wow, it looks amazing."
"Finally, this guy slowed down."
"It seems we are near."
It had been three days since they flew on the back of this Leviathan, heading for the Arcane Highlands. And for the whole three days, all they could see outside was the endless expanse of clouds and blurry scenery.
So, now that Lina finally relaxed and was flying steadily for a while at a low altitude, the apprentices around were finally able to look outside.
"We are now near the Arcane Highlands. It won't take much longer for Lina to reach the Mystic Circle from here. So, savor the scenery around you while you can. You don't know if you'll get the chance again."
Seeing the enthusiasm around, Yela smiled a little and told the truth to prepare them for what was to co.
Truly, after they reached the Mystic Circle, even she didn't know how many of them could live comfortably with their little talent.
Of course, there were so exceptions around.
"Hey, Ian. Look, is that a mountain?"
At a corner, Lyra, who was snuggling in one of Ian's arms, asked in wonder while pointing at the endless expanse of mountains that were rapidly nearing her vision.
From the direction of the Leviathan, it seed that was their destination this ti.
"It seems to be."
Ian nodded with a smile while looking at the highlands ahead that seed to stretch endlessly. The mountains around were almost as tall as the ones he saw in the Ashen Spires.
But unlike that place, this place was brimming with mana and life. Even from such a far distance, Ian could already see vibrant forests, rivers, and the like.
"Wow, this is so beautiful."
The more they neared the Arcane Highlands, the denser the mana beca and the more vibrant the scenery around them.
So, Aurora was enamored by seeing such a scene for the first ti in her life and involuntarily called out in praise.
"Yeah, it is indeed beautiful."
Ian didn't deny it and agreed very much, as it was also the first ti for him to see such a scene.
And it was also the first ti for him to truly be near a Wizard Organization, as it ant his path to becoming stronger was near.
"Swish!"
Although the scenery around was breathtaking, for Lina, it was a daily occurrence. So, she didn't care about their enthusiasm and directly entered the Arcane Highlands, passing through a large gorge in a second.
And the mont she entered the large gorge, Ian felt like he was passing through a thin barrier. Then, he suddenly saw row upon row of tall Wizard towers on each peak everywhere.
It was a stark contrast to the mountains before, as those tall spires resembling Ignisia Tower were pulsing with an otherworldly glow.
Not to ntion the countless beasts soaring through the skies, ridden by robed figures, and the bustling crowds filling the peaks.
At the center, atop the largest mountain, stood a massive and awe-inspiring tower—the tallest of them all.
And at the far edge, right where they had just entered, a massive city stretched out in a perfect concentric design, nestled beneath and facing that towering spire at the center.
The city was nestled within the hanging valley, while Wizard Towers stood atop each peak of the mountains around.
Ian also noticed that mana was far more abundant at the peaks than in the valley below. Due to its high concentration in this place, he could even see its beautiful, shimring manifestation.
"Woah!"
"So beautiful!"
Just like Ian, the crowd was also gobsmacked, as it was truly a breathtaking view for those who ca from such a barren place. So, their getting speechless was an honest reaction.
"WHOOOOOOOORRRRRMMM!"
It seed Lina also felt at ho, as she cried in a deep voice, reverberating her sound throughout the gorge. Yet, it seed people below were used to her massive figure, as besides a few glances, nobody paid much attention.
"Welco to the Mystic Circle. Now that you guys have entered this place, your wizard journey has truly begun. But whether you can get ahead depends on you."
Seeing the surprise in the apprentices' eyes, Yela smiled and welcod them all in a good mood. No matter what future they held, it was still a monuntal mont for them, as she said, this was their chance.
"Okay, Lina, land slowly. It is ti to rest."
Yela didn't waste ti and ordered the Leviathan, causing her to swoop down directly onto the large opening below, specially made for the landing of beasts.
There were also a large number of beasts flying and landing all around like a hub.
"So many monsters."
Lyra and Aurora were quite surprised, looking at the large variety of beasts around.
"Okay, save the surprise for later. It is ti to go down."
Seeing them still looking around, Ian suddenly hugged their bodies in both of his arms and directly jumped from the edge toward the ground.
By this ti, Lina had already landed perfectly on the land, and Yela was conjuring up yet another spell to bring down the apprentices and Knights below.
But Ian didn't want to waste ti and directly jumped below while grabbing the two girls in his arms and casting the Feather Falling spell on the go.
"Swoosh!"
And before the two girls could shout in surprise, they had already landed on the polished marble platform perfectly intact.
"Stupid... Can you be more predictable?"
Lyra couldn't help but pout in annoyance, while Aurora placed her hand on her chest as if surprised.
"Haha... I kind of like this feeling. Sorry, sorry."
Ian laughed and teased Lyra when he saw Yela, Zane, and Ron, along with others, landing steadily beside them.
As for him jumping down like this, nobody cared. He could have all the fun he wanted; they had no complaints.
"Okay, Wizard Ron. Our mission is now complete. You take it from he-..."
After landing on the platform, Yela turned to Ron and was about to hand over the mission when suddenly she stopped midway and looked to the front.
Not only she but Ron and Zane also looked to the front, along with Ian, who suddenly beca solemn.
