"What the... so big."
"Damn! Am I seeing this right?"
"Hey, hey. It won't attack us, right?"
"So scary...."
The exclamations from the crowd were more dramatic than when they arrived at the Calvora Continent before. They were filled with extre surprise, dread and so fear.
A few of them even instinctively stepped back, as if reacting reflexively to the intimidating presence in the sky, which was obscuring the sun and making their surroundings montarily darker.
However, while the apprentices were in awe of the figure in the sky, the few Knights around were the exact opposite, whispering among themselves.
"Ah... not this again."
"Damn! Can't we travel by land?"
"Are you stupid? When will you reach Arcane Highlands like that?"
"Still... it is better than this. I-I... really don't want to ride that thing again."
"Sigh, what bad luck. Suddenly, we can no longer climb that ship but had to ride this thing again."
Everyone around shared the sa opinion—they didn't want to ride that giant thing hovering above the sky, heading rapidly in Yela's direction.
Unlike the apprentices around them, they seed accustod to seeing such a giant and were even repulsed by it. Instead, they preferred to travel with ship like Silver Gull.
But they had no choice from the beginning and could only complain in whisper.
"Swish!"
Although the size of the flying figure was so massive that it managed to obscure the sun above, its speed wasn't sothing to scoff at.
While everyone was expressing their surprise, dread, and annoyance, Ian also looked at the sky along with Lyra and Aurora, only to see a massive Leviathan flying rapidly overhead.
Its size was so enormous that, at a glance, it was basically double the size of the Silver Gull.
From Ian's impression, it looked more like a whale-like creature with wide, finned wings that allowed it to glide through the sky. Its smooth, blue-gray skin blended perfectly with the clouds around it, making it look more like a floating ship than a creature.
"Wow, it is so big. Ian, what is this?"
Aurora asked, seeing such a giant up close for the first ti.
But instead of being fearful of its massive size, she and Lyra were more curious, as the aura they felt from the creature wasn't dangerous or even remotely threatening.
"Sky Leviathan, also known as gentle giants."
Before Ian could answer, though, Ron stepped in to provide the creature's na.
Then, he noticed more apprentices gathering around, looking at him curiously as if asking for more information. So, he conveniently explained a little further.
"The place we are going to this ti is Mystic Circle, an interdiate Wizard Organization located in the Arcane Highlands. Although Calvora is rich in mana, there are places that are more suitable for Wizards to practice."
Ron continued,
"And Arcane Highlands is one of those places. But since it is pretty far, the usual mortal ans of transportation are too slow and dangerous."
"So, to cross this vast continent, we have three options: teleportation portals, travel artifacts like the Silver Gull, or tad beasts like this one. And naturally, the Mystic Circle wouldn't waste a precious portal or an expensive artifact just to escort a bunch of apprentices."
In fact, even using the Silver Gull wasn't within the Mystic Circle's considerations. But they had no choice, as there was no other way to traverse the sea.
"Then that ans... we are riding that thing?"
Hearing Ron's words, Henry, who had been silently listening, asked involuntarily with so excitent in his eyes.
Many apprentices around him were also began to beco excited, as seen from their twinkling eyes.
After all, what they were about to do was fly in the sky—sothing that, in the Gravethrone Continent, was literally a myth. Not to ntion, they were going to ride a behemoth that seed to cover the sky with its massive presence.
It was truly a wonderful, dreamlike mont, and now, they began to feel that leaving their ho had been worth it just for this experience alone.
"Yeah, it seems so."
Ron nodded with a smile, suddenly causing loud cheers from the apprentices around.
"Damn! Is this a dream?"
"Sky Leviathan! What a wonderful na."
"Look, it's already so far!"
The mont they realized they would be riding such a magical being, their enthusiasm shot through the roof.
Even Prince Ray and Henry felt the sa, as their smiles said everything about how happy they were.
But in their excitent, they failed to notice the weird gazes from the Knights around them. And from their expressions, Ian could see that they were pitying the apprentices, as quite a few of them shook their heads.
"Heh... it's just this big, and you're so surprised? Let grow a little, and I'll show you what magnificence actually is."
And of course, Ignysyl on the other hand didn't like everyone admiring the Sky Leviathan. So, he boasted while tilting his head upward with pride.
From his expression, it seed as if he would be larger than the Leviathan by tomorrow.
"Yeah, yeah. Grow faster so I can ride you."
Ian also smiled after hearing his words and encouraged him further while caressing his golden-hued feathers.
He really wanted to ride a dragon, but unfortunately, Ignysyl was still in his juvenile form. He didn't know when he would grow up.
So, a little encouragent was in his favor.
"Tsk... it won't take long."
The Raven on Ian's shoulder purred a little at Ian's touch and boasted with assurance, causing weird gazes from Torren, Varn, and even Ron.
For the love of god, they couldn't understand how big a Raven could get, let alone whether Ian could even stand on top of it.
But although they felt doubtful, they wisely didn't comnt and kept their mouths shut.
"Okay, let's go. Wizard Yela already seems ready for departure. It isn't good to keep her waiting."
Ron finally said, allowing the crowd to rein in their excitent.
Then, without waiting for them to say anything, he headed outside the temporary base toward the wide opening where the Leviathan had just disappeared.
As everyone, including Ian, Lyra, and Aurora, were following Ron, Lyra nudged Ian's arm suddenly and asked in a low voice,
"Hey Ian, did you see those Knights' faces? Why do they seem like they don't want to ride that thing?"
Lyra had always been observant of her surroundings, so of course, she had noticed those pitiful gazes from the Knights. Hence, she couldn't help but ask Ian if he knew sothing about it.
