"Thank God you are alright."
Seeing Ian's figure, Lyra imdiately ran a little faster, jumping directly into his arms, almost causing both of them to stumble.
"Now, now, slow down a little. Why are you so anxious? Didn't I ask you to wait downstairs?"
Ian hurriedly balanced himself while grabbing Lyra in his arms with a smile and reprimanding her slightly to ease the mood.
Even with the anxiousness visible on her face and her serious look, she looked as gorgeous as ever.
"Hmph, I told her to stay in her room, but she didn't listen to at all. Your woman is just like you—stubborn."
Ignysyl seed fed up as he complained a little while disappearing from Ian's vision.
Although he grumbled, he seed to know when to give Ian free ti alone with girls.
'This little guy.'
Ian shook his head with a smile and then looked at Aurora, who was standing silently in front, giving them their ti.
"How do you feel now?"
"Hm? A-Alright, I guess..."
Aurora answered subconsciously with a stiff smile.
"Are you... alright?" Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire
She then asked a little worriedly while looking at Ian with her erald green eyes, full of self-bla. Although she wasn't mumbling like before, she seed just as guilty.
"Yeah, I am fine. Don't worry about it."
"Oh... that's good. Ian... I'm sorry. Because of , you have to..."
Aurora relaxed a little after hearing Ian's words and then apologized, still thinking he was in danger because of her.
And honestly, she wasn't wrong.
From the way that entity reacted, it seed to have co for Aurora, although he still didn't know why it was so interested in her.
"It's okay, just a little problem. Nothing to worry about."
Ian gracefully accepted the apology with a smile while directly grabbing Aurora's soft waist with his free arm, placing her at his side with practiced ease.
And this ti, Aurora didn't shy away like before or even ca a little closer to his chest on her own initiative, as if it was her way of apologizing.
Of course, Ian didn't forget Lyra in his other arm, placing his palm just below her navel, caressing her to ease her jealousy.
Over this month, he had learned to take care of the girls' feelings.
It seed he was finally learning to be a proper scumbag.
"Mmm... Ian, did you fight with so demon? Why is this hall so broken? What happened?"
Sure enough, Ian's caress did wonders as Lyra visibly lted in his arms while asking about the surrounding situation, not minding Aurora's presence one bit.
"Hm? Oh, I did fight with soone, but it wasn't a demon or anything."
Ian realized that they were still cuddling among the wreckage of the earlier battle, so he made his way out while answering Lyra's question.
"Well, long story short, soone wanted to use the demon summoning ritual in this place for so plan. Fortunately, I stopped it in ti, causing him to flee from here."
He didn't elaborate but briefly explained what happened, then looked at Aurora, who was silently leaning on his shoulder without any comnt.
"So, are you a Third-Class Wizard Apprentice now? Did you make a contract?"
"Hm? Who is a Third-Class Apprentice?"
Lyra asked, clearly surprised, as her attention had been fully on Ian before, and she hadn't paid much attention to Aurora the entire ti.
So, Ian's sudden question was out of the blue for her.
"Um... Yeah, I am."
Aurora nodded a little awkwardly, without the excitent she had before in the kitchen.
After everything that happened in this brief period, she had long lost the joy she felt after acquiring the power she so wanted.
Now, she inexplicably felt guilty. Fortunately, nothing happened to Ian. Otherwise...?
She couldn't even think of such things.
"What... How is it possible? Aren't you a Voidborn?"
Sure enough, Lyra finally realized how ridiculous this news was.
And as if she rembered their previous conversation, she looked at Ian as if questioning whether he had helped her in so way.
Of course, she was still happy for her, though.
"Yeah, I made a contract with so being in exchange for power. But it seems it brought so danger... I-I'm really sorry..."
Aurora gave a small nod and apologized while bowing slightly, feeling guilty.
"Hm? Why are you sorry? Didn't Ian say soone was summoning a demon through a ritual? Moreover, we also heard the chanting from outside."
Lyra was confused, as she didn't feel any joy in Aurora after getting rid of her mortal status and instead found her filled with guilt.
"Anyway, Congratulations on being a Wizard Apprentice. This is the ti for a joyous mont. There is no point in being sad."
It seed Lyra didn't like this gloomy mood, so she smiled beautifully while fluttering her blonde hair, squinting her blue eyes, and sincerely congratulating Aurora on her promotion.
Since she was the person who had spent most of her ti with Aurora in this one and a half months, she more or less knew how much Aurora had been brooding over the fact that she couldn't be a Wizard.
And she also knew that she was falling for Ian more and more over ti.
After all, she had witnessed with her own eyes how Aurora strongly rejected Carl when he was constantly trying to get close during their travels.
So, no matter what happened before, as long as everything was okay, it was indeed a very delightful day for Aurora, in her opinion.
"Thank you, Lyra."
It seed a smile begets a smile, as Aurora finally stopped being gloomy and smiled a little while thanking Lyra.
"No need for thanks. Okay, since you can now practice ditation—and since it's your special day—I'll allow you to ask Ian for ditation techniques, guidance, and all the resources for your training."
Lyra smirked playfully,
"No need to be shy. He got tons of loot from the Ignisia Tower. You can drain his pockets as much as you want—just for today, though."
She joked while patting Ian's shoulder as if he were a golden egg-laying chicken and she was generously lending him out for the day.
"Hey, I'm not that rich, okay? At most, I have so thods and artifacts to sell."
Ian rolled his eyes at Lyra, who spoke as if he were so tycoon or sugar daddy they could freely milk for resources.
"Yeah, yeah... Don't listen to him, he's just acting. He is loaded with stuff."
Lyra whispered to Aurora as if sharing so inside info while fully knowing that Ian could hear her, causing Ian to roll his eyes.
"Hehe..."
Aurora finally couldn't help but giggle, seeing Lyra make Ian speechless with her antics. Her soft laughter echoed around the stairs they were climbing down from.
"Guess what? Since it's your special day, let make you sothing delicious."
"Hmm... maybe that Rohu will do. You stay here with Ian—I'll go get it ready in a minute."
Seeing Aurora finally smiling like a flower, Lyra imdiately decided to celebrate this happy occasion and swiftly left Ian's arm, heading toward the kitchen, leaving a few words behind.
She was so swift and fast that even Ian had no ti to react.
'You owe this ti.'
However, after hearing Lyra's voice in his mind through telepathy, Ian imdiately understood what had happened, causing him to be stunned a little.
'This girl. Ain't I too lucky today?'
Ian thought, feeling a little blessed. Clearly, Lyra was giving him a chance to be alone with Aurora with this subtle yet deliberate setup.
Which man had such an understanding woman? At least, he had never seen one in his two lives.
"Hey, Lyra... there is no need. Wait..."
Aurora was clearly taken by surprise by the sudden decision, causing her to shout—but she was a step too late and saw that Lyra had already dashed off, leaving her alone with Ian.
So, she let go of Ian's arm and tried to head toward the kitchen, only for a strong arm to pull her back—firmly yet gently—into a warm embrace, right where she belonged.
"Let her be. She's just trying to celebrate your special day—why ruin her good deed?"
Ian spoke as he dragged Aurora to a corner, out of sight. He wasn't a newbie who would miss such a golden opportunity at a ti like this.
"B-But..."
Aurora visibly tensed at Ian's sudden strong pull, his soft words brushing against her ear, and his heavy breath tickling her nerves.
"Shhh... didn't I say just now? It wasn't your fault that this happened. And now, everything is okay. Why are you still brooding over this?"
Ian sensed Aurora's lingering guilt and, with a gentle touch, caressed her smooth cheek, guiding her against the wall as he intimately tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, leaving her feeling mushy all over.
"Mmm~~ You are saying this because you don't know. How can such a coincidence happen suddenly? And I clearly felt that aura."
The more Ian showed care, the more Aurora felt she was selfish. So, she shook her head a little and said,
"I... my decision almost hard both of you. You know, I thought after becoming a Wizard, I could be a little closer to you all—not like a helpless child, but as an equal—but it seems... it is my wishful thinking."
"If not for you this ti... MMM~~~~"
"Tch... you talk too much."
Just as Aurora was blabbering incoherently, she suddenly found herself unable to speak as a soft, silencing kiss sealed her lips, leaving her breathless and stunned.
Apparently, Ian was fed up with trying to console her through words, so he did what he was best at—acting without hesitation.
After all, a good kiss is enough to silence any girl, isn't it?
