48: Chapter 48 Third-Person Perspective 48: Chapter 48 Third-Person Perspective As he erged from the treasury, the sight that greeted him was one of utter despair.

The monster army and dragonkin legions that had surged into the city had indeed been slaughtered to near extinction, and he was now faced with thousands of Adventurers, hundreds of City Guards, legions of magic swordsn, battalions of battle mages, and piles of heroes.

Antonidas (Archmage of Dalaran)

Dalyn Proudmoore (Admiral of the Fleet)

Kel’Thuzad (Archmage of Dalaran)

Kael’thas (Grand Elentalist)

Eldin Sunstrider (Grand Magus)

Kharponia (Grand Astromancer)

Feng Wu Tian Jiao (Grand Elentalist)

Yin Yue Sui Feng (Grand Arcanist)

Berserk Gandalf (Battle Mage)

Voldemort Benmo (Shadow Wizard)…

Among them were clearly a number of players, but Mo Fei didn’t underestimate their combat strength because of that.

Upon witnessing the appearance of the black dragon, there was first a mont of silence, then the heroes began their respective performances.

Antonidas (Archmage of Dalaran), “Evil black dragon, today will be your end.

My magic will tear you into pieces!”

Dalyn Proudmoore (Admiral of the Fleet), “et your death, ‘Death’s Shadow’.

Your legions won’t save you.”

Eldin Sunstrider (Grand Magus), “For the innocent people of Dalaran unjustly slain, we will judge you here!”

Feng Wu Tian Jiao (Grand Elentalist), “Black dragon, submit to , that is your only way out.”

Yin Yue Sui Feng (Grand Arcanist), “There’s no need to deal with this fiend with any chivalry.

Let’s gang up on him!”

Upon hearing this, the players imrsed in this epic scene cast disapproving glances at Yin Yue Sui Feng.

Yin Yue Sui Feng (Grand Arcanist), “Ahem, I an, for justice and glory, let us fight side by side.

et your end, evil Lord of the Black Dragon!”

Facing this imnse host of enemies, Mo Fei simply chose to lie down and accept his fate, as there was nothing he could do.

All he could do now was to place his hopes on Morphis.

However, to his anxiety, Morphis showed no sign of action and rely stood there.

(Damn it, man, take over already?) He didn’t dare to speak out loud at this mont, rely thinking in his mind, unsure whether the other could hear him or not.

No matter his thoughts, the battle had already begun.

The first to act were the mage heroes, unleashing various powerful ultimate moves and Hero Skills.

A Great Dispel went off first, weakening the dragon scale armor on his body.

Then, a Gravity Barrier made his body heavy, difficult to move.

Another Arcane Torrent dealt a heavy blow to his chest.

And then, a Maximum Fla Burst exploded against him, leaving his flesh charred and dragon scales scattered…

With so many heroes attacking at once, many employing Hero Skills, just the first round of assault inflicted severe damage on Morphis.

But it wasn’t over yet.

Hundreds of Adventurers fired arrows and cast spells, and there were still thousands more who couldn’t squeeze into the narrow space to join the fray.

Even with a massive increase in stats and health, up to more than five hundred thousand, due to an epic narrative campaign against the final boss, his health bar was plumting rapidly under such an aggressive offensive.

Is it over?

Mo Fei thought to himself.

Suddenly, he noticed his perspective slowly turning upwards towards the sky, where countless black dragons were circling and darting above the city, breathing out fierce flas.

That was his legion.

If only he could return to his legion, he’d be safe.

The distance felt so close, almost within reach, yet everything was so far — a gigantic Guardian Barrier had already enveloped the sky above Dalaran, preventing the flas of the black dragons from reaching the ground.

And those cowardly Lords of the Black Dragon clearly didn’t dare lead the dragon horde downward to battle the fully mobilized army of Dalaran.

Is this really how I’m going to die?

A wave of chilling despair suddenly arose in his heart.

Mo Fei felt sothing was amiss.

He had just obtained a stash of treasures which would certainly lead to his fortune.

Even if he couldn’t get the ten million, it was no big deal.

Why would he feel despair?

“`

It was Morphis!

The emotion grew increasingly intense, filling his heart, and his body suddenly moved on its own.

It started off slowly, but soon it operated with ease.

(Morphis?)

Morphis (Ancient Black Dragon): “Shut up, don’t do anything!”

The next second, Mo Fei found that his perspective was squeezed upwards, turning into a third-person viewpoint as if a moving cara was attached to the black dragon.

This was his first encounter with such a perspective in a holographic virtual ga, and also the first ti he had the opportunity to directly observe the colossal and majestic form of the Ancient Black Dragon.

At this mont, the black dragon was surrounded by myriad magical glows.

However, it did not show any signs of weakness; instead, it roared and rose into the air with a flap of its wings.

Morphis (Ancient Black Dragon): “You wretched ants, you insignificant mortals, gather all you want and attack with everything you have.

Show your laughable magic and arcane powers.

In the face of the might of the Ancient Dragon, you have no chance of victory!

I will destroy your cities, grind your warriors to dust, and let chaos and destruction spread from this point forth.

No one can stop !”

Ancient Dragonfla!

A white-hot blaze swept across the entire field.

The Archmages promptly activated various protective spells to shield their allies, yet many adventurers eager for damage rushed to the frontlines, only to be instantly turned to ash by the flas, killed before any damage numbers could even display.

Mo Fei was astounded by what he saw; when had his Dragon Breath beco so devastatingly powerful?

The might of the strike terrified many adventurers, who scrambled frantically backward, while those at the back still pushed forward.

“Damn, what kind of exaggerated damage is this?”

“Fall back, fall back, take cover behind the heroes!”

“Don’t push, don’t push ah!”

“Damn it, don’t interfere with my casting!”

The chaotic actions of the adventurers also affected the primary heroes—they were equipped with powerful magic, but helpless against these friendly forces.

This brief confusion gave Mo Fei a glimpse of hope.

And without the slightest hesitation, Morphis forcibly flapped its wings and took to the skies.

But before it could ascend more than a few dozen ters, a red dragon of almost equal size flew by out of nowhere, striking Morphis’s back with a breath of fla before it vanished as if it had never appeared.

The attack, however, did not vanish with it.

Morphis crashed heavily to the ground, collapsing an inn and two shops, as adventurers sward in.

Hundreds converged around the black dragon, hacking away in a frenzy.

The black dragon struggled mightily against the onslaught of countless enemies, like a bird being overwheld by ants.

Morphis (Ancient Black Dragon): “Die, you ants, die, you insignificant insects!

I will crush you all!”

With each roar, the black dragon exerted itself to swipe with its claws and beat its wings.

Adventurers were sent flying in groups, only for more to swarm back in.

The dragon was now covered in wounds, its health drained by nearly half.

Adventurers sward like mosquitoes drawn to the scent of blood.

Everyone wanted a share from this rare world boss, desiring even a single dragon scale or a drop of dragon blood, both of enormous value.

Hurricane Wings!

The wings stirred up a gale, and in an instant, adventurers were scattered like leaves in the wind.

An area around the black dragon was promptly cleared, and it took to the air once again.

However, the heroes had already caught up.

teor Spell!

A massive teor, over ten ters in diater, materialized out of thin air, plumting towards the black dragon with fierce flas and scorching heat from the friction with the air.

Boom!

The black dragon fell once again, landing awkwardly amidst the rubble.

It struggled to erge, only to be t with a barrage of relentless magical attacks.

The black dragon shielded its front with its left wing, which bore the brunt of the Great Dispel.

Its wing scales were still relatively intact.

But this was clearly unsustainable.

Morphis (Ancient Black Dragon): “In the na of Morphis, let this world revert to the era of darkness!

Let the darkness descend upon this world again!”

Dragon Language Magic—Darkness Descent!

Above Dalaran, which was illuminated by magical lights, a sphere of darkness suddenly appeared, spreading rapidly, cloaking everything in the vicinity in the deepest of night, obscuring everyone’s sight.

Mo Fei was startled, damn, how can this creature use this trick?

Although this skill is in the Talent Tree, I hadn’t even chosen it.
