Chapter 813: Chapter 540 Because he loves Nanxi, he becos impulsive! _1
At that ti, near noon, the sun shrouded the small town in Thailand, appearing soft and warm.
A few tiles on the hospital were missing, revealing traces of the ravages of ti and the years!
The occasional footsteps resonated, the taste of soda water spread into the senses!
Nanxi, accompanied by Lu Yinchu, took one step after another towards the depths of the corridor. Her steps were stiff…
One hand clutched desperately on the sleeve of the man beside her, as if trying to draw strength from him.
They’re near!
Each approaching step made it feel as if her whole body, including her bones, were trembling!
…
They were near ward number 1005, a shared room. As they approached, soone just ca out.
Nanxi’s eyelashes trembled, seemingly seeing a familiar figure in the ward.
A man’s silhouette, a woman’s side profile, their familiar outlines were both so familiar!
Nanxi stopped in her tracks, her heart tightening again, as if a rock was pressing down on her chest, making her breathless!
The person near the door said sothing in Thai when he saw the pair standing at the door but not entering. As he was about to close the door, Lu Yinchu stepped forward to stop him, “Wait, we’re going in…”
The man was taken aback, probably because the language spoken was not Thai. A foreigner?
At that mont, the middle-aged man by the hospital bed heard those words and suddenly froze. Not because a familiar person had arrived, but because of familiar words!
How long was it since he last heard anybody speak Chinese? He couldn’t quite rember.
On this side, the Thai no longer prevented. Lu Yinchu, with a frown, hug Nanxi’s shoulders and whispered in her ears, “Don’t be afraid! I’m here, rember?”
Nanxi bit her lip, her frail body curled up in Lu Yinchu’s embrace as he led her into the room.
Gui Xi and others didn’t follow. So encounters are too precious to be disturbed by too many people!
They slowly approached the hospital bed, where a man was sitting, seeming busy with sothing. Not surprisingly, he was peeling an apple!
At that instant, he probably felt soone approaching from behind, and he stopped peeling the apple, but he didn’t turn around!
“Excuse , is this Mr. Basong?”
The figure stiffened again, yet there was no reply!
“My apologies, did I get it wrong? Excuse , is this Mr. Gu Xuehong?”
“Crash-” The fruit knife dropped to the ground!
For so reason, everyone froze suddenly, and the world beca remarkably quiet!
The man turned his head…
Nanxi lifted her head…
In that instant, their eyes t!
…
…
Nanxi recalled when she was a kid, her dad once took her shopping, and she saw a clown handing out balloons to kids. Fascinated, she let go of her father’s hand to run towards the clown.
The crowd was imnse, and amid the pushes and shoves, she quickly lost sight of her father. When she realised, she was completely lost in a strange place!
She cried, calling for her ‘dad’ over and over again, her cries heart-wrenching!
She forgot how she found her father, but she rembered being wrapped tightly in his arms, his embrace so strong!
He apologized to her, saying, “Darling Nanxi, stop crying, daddy apologizes. Daddy promises never to lose you again! Daddy makes a promise, okay? Please stop crying.”
“What if I get lost again?” she sniffled, asking.
“Then daddy will definitely look back and find you, no matter where you are, daddy will find you!”
…
…
Daddy lied!
She believed that if her father wanted, finding her grandmother and uncle wouldn’t have been hard. So, it wouldn’t have been hard for him to find her!
But, he didn’t!
He did not!
For nearly seven years, he hadn’t looked for her!
He didn’t!
…
…
Nanxi bit her lip, leaning her whole body onto Lu Yinchu. Curious eyes were cast on them from the surroundings, occasional whispers echoed.
Not surprisingly, the unexpected entry of two strangers who couldn’t speak the language, but were undeniably good-looking, captured everyone’s attention!
“Nanxi…”
Finally, the man spoke, his voice hoarse as it scratched the walls of his throat, leaving a deep impression.
