Nanxi pursed her lips, unsure of what to say. By then, Lu Yinchu had already sat down next to her, taking her into his arms, and asked her, “What’s wrong? You didn’t drink your milk!”
Nanxi nestled into his chest, her face against his warm skin, she called out, “Lu Yinchu~”
“Hm?”
“Lu Yinchu, I’m not prepared…”
“Prepared for what?”
“Prepared to… be a mother…”
Nanxi, hands wrapped around his neck, tilted her head up to look at him, “Lu Yinchu, will you get angry with what I said?”
“No!”
He lowered his head and gave a peck on her lips. His touch was warm and soft, fascinatingly so, making him yearn for more.

“There are no ‘buts’!”
