Ji Chicheng had a dark face, his hand pounding at his side, his fists clenching so tightly that they made cracking sounds.

But the angriest person wasn’t him; it was her actual father.

Xin Hailong wore a grim expression, glaring fiercely at Xin Xiaoxiao. He lowered his voice and shouted angrily, "Xin Xiaoxiao!"

"That’s the na you gave , I’ve been called it for twenty-one years, still not enough?" Xin Xiaoxiao turned and yelled at Xin Hailong.

Then she pretended to inadvertently notice Zhong Qingyang beside Xin Hailong, feigning surprise, "Yo, isn’t this Zhong Qingyang? When did you get on such good terms with my dad?"

Just now, Xin Hailong had been holding onto Zhong Qingyang’s sleeve as he introduced him to Ji Chicheng and hadn’t had a chance to let go.

At this mont, Xin Xiaoxiao glanced at his hand and covered her mouth, sneering, "No wonder this old man hasn’t remarried all these years; turns out his sexual orientation changed."

Xin Hailong almost couldn’t catch his breath and nearly passed out. His face turned red with anger as he scolded Xin Xiaoxiao, "You little brat, I didn’t die in the line of duty just to be angered to death by you."

Saying this, he pushed the nearby Zhong Qingyang over to Xin Xiaoxiao’s side, ordering her, "Take Qingyang around to et people. You two are getting engaged next month."

Before Xin Xiaoxiao could reply, a waiter approached, leaned in, and whispered sothing to Xin Hailong’s ear.

Xin Hailong’s expression changed slightly as he glanced at Xin Xiaoxiao, hesitated for a mont, then seed to make a decision, saying to the waiter, "Bring them in."

The waiter nodded, turned, and left.

Watching the waiter walk away, Xin Hailong fixed his gaze deeply on Xin Xiaoxiao, "Xiaoxiao, daddy loves you the most, I hope you understand daddy."

His tone was heavy, and after speaking, he also turned and walked toward the banquet hall’s entrance.

Xin Xiaoxiao watched her father’s slightly chubby figure, feeling bewildered by his sudden seriousness and sincerity.

"Hey hey hey, what’s the old man an by this?"

Xin Hailong ignored her, and she didn’t chase after him. Instead, she turned to glance at Ji Chicheng and Ji Anning, pouting, "Back then, I might as well have stripped you naked and tasted your flesh."

Beside her, Zhong Qingyang, who was about to beco her fiancé, felt both awkward and annoyed.

To reveal a desire for another man’s body in front of her fiancé was an insult, the greatest insult to a man.

"Let’s go."

Reluctantly, Xin Xiaoxiao reached out and wrapped her arm around Zhong Qingyang’s, "You never said you liked when we were kids; didn’t you quite hate ?"

Watching Xin Xiaoxiao walk away arm in arm with Zhong Qingyang, Ji Anning sighed, "Sigh, she’s actually very obedient."

Regarding her father’s arrangent, although she was very dissatisfied, she still followed through.

It gives the impression that her life must be chaotic, yet principled.

This was the impression Ji Anning had of her after seeing her several tis.

Ji Chicheng remained silent; Ji Anning seed to have thought of sothing and looked up at him, asking, "Uncle, what do you think her father ant by those words as he was leaving?"

After asking, she looked again at Xin Xiaoxiao’s departing figure, "I always feel there’s a deeper aning, like a warning."

Ji Chicheng’s tightly pressed lips remained unmoving, but a subtle, enigmatic smile appeared at the corners of his mouth.

As if waiting for a show to begin.

"Hello everyone, thank you for taking the ti out of your busy schedules to attend today’s reception."

Suddenly, the music in the banquet hall stopped, and Xin Hailong’s voice replaced it.

Everyone was stunned by this sudden change, their eyes all turned towards the center of the hall, where Xin Hailong stood holding a microphone, as if he was about to announce sothing important.
