Xin Xiaoxiao nodded gratefully, "Thank you, uncle."
Assistant Wu grinned, holding his phone and walking towards the window while dialing, "Manager Wang, is the construction going smoothly?"
"I’d like to ask if Chairman Xin is at the worksite?"
"What?"
"I understand."
The expression on Xin Xiaoxiao’s face changed step-by-step with Assistant Wu’s, clueless about what the project manager had told Assistant Wu.
His tone grew increasingly tense, and his voice louder and louder.
When he hung up the phone, Xin Xiaoxiao imdiately approached him and asked anxiously, "Uncle, is my dad at the worksite?"
"Don’t worry," Assistant Wu smiled reassuringly at Xin Xiaoxiao, "Chairman Xin did indeed go to the construction site this afternoon, but he’s at the police station now due to a minor incident, it’s nothing serious."
