As he spoke, he opened his arms wide toward Ji Chicheng, attempting to embrace him.
Ji Chicheng frowned in disgust, took a step to the side, and avoided the approaching old man.
"Mr. Charles."
Ji Jingfeng politely bowed to Mr. Charles, reaching out his right hand excitedly.
He had finally t the legendary Mr. Charles in person.
"Who is this...?"
Mr. Charles did not offer his hand to Ji Jingfeng, instead pretending not to recognize him, and looked at Ji Chicheng with confusion on his face.
In that mont, Ji Jingfeng’s face was indescribably awkward, his extended hand stiffened, he clenched his teeth in secret, yet he was forced to squeeze out a smile to greet Mr. Charles.
"Ji Jingfeng, President of J.C."
Upon hearing Ji Jingfeng’s self-introduction, Mr. Charles looked at Ji Chicheng in surprise, "Isn’t the president of J.C. you, handso?"
Ji Chicheng still carried an air of disdain, proudly tilting his chin up and his lips pursed into a straight line.
Mr. Charles looked at Ji Jingfeng and then at Ji Chicheng, his expression of surprise unchanged, "Standing together, I thought you were the big boss."
Ji Jingfeng’s face beca extrely unpleasant, almost unable to keep up the pretense any longer.
Mr. Charles then turned his head, pointed at Ji Chicheng, and asked the four bodyguards and assistants who ca with him, "When you see them standing together, doesn’t he seem more like the boss?"
The group nodded in unison, "Yes."
This was humiliation, pure and simple.
Ji Jingfeng’s handso face turned red, then green, and then dark, yet he pinched his nose, unable to say a word.
At the sa ti, he did not understand what Mr. Charles was up to; he was clearly supposed to join him in confronting Ji Chicheng, yet why was he intentionally belittling him to elevate Ji Chicheng?
And pretending not to recognize him.
Unwilling to accept the humiliation, Ji Jingfeng, in an effort to regain so dignity, reminded Mr. Charles with a smile, "Mr. Charles might have a poor mory; we had a video call just this morning."
"Oh...?" Mr. Charles frowned, pretended to recall for a mont, then shook his head, "I still don’t rember. I’ve always had a poor mory, only rembering people with good charisma and a great image."
aning his charisma wasn’t good, nor was his image.
Ji Jingfeng’s face looked like a pig’s liver hanging at a morning market stall, waiting to be sold.
His hands clenched into fists, almost crushing his bones.
And still, Mr. Charles did not intend to let him off the hook, curiously asking him, "By the way, what was the purpose of your call to this morning?"
While asking, Mr. Charles gestured towards his temple, indicating a recalling gesture, "Speak up, let’s see if I have any recollection."
Ji Jingfeng: "..."
Of course, he could not discuss the content of their call there.
"Nothing."
Therefore, Ji Jingfeng had to continue pinching his nose to humiliate himself.
In front of everyone, ’admitting’ that he boasted about knowing the legendary Mr. Charles.
"I didn’t know young people also had poor mory." Mr. Charles observed Ji Jingfeng’s livid face and didn’t miss the opportunity to rub salt in his wound.
Then he no longer looked at him and stepped towards Ji Chicheng, "Handso, why don’t you show around your company?
Ji Chicheng coldly replied to him, "Sorry, J.C. does not welco you."
Mr. Charles spoke to him in Chinese, but he deliberately replied in English, lest the group he brought along, who might not understand Chinese, would not realize their esteed Mr. Charles had been rejected.
