The suit looked like it was from a bygone era, the kind of wedding suits that were once very popular in Western countries. Ji Anning looked puzzled in the direction from where Charles had co.

As she pondered, Charles had already reached the downstairs.
Suddenly, he stopped walking and looked up. Ji Anning’s eyes t his, and she felt the hair on her skin stand up. Her instinct was to close the curtains.
Then she turned and entered the room.
After quickly washing up in the bathroom and changing her clothes, she returned to the window and drew back the curtains. The room beca light and bright, and in her other hand, she held her phone, dialing Xiang Yiqing’s number.
The phone barely rang before Xiang Yiqing answered. Hearing his voice, Ji Anning asked, "Doctor Xiang, are you still in Country Y?"
Xiang Yiqing said, "Yes, what’s up?"
"Charles has agreed not to marry my sister-in-law. I asked him to send her away today. Could you please co and pick her up?"
Ji Anning added, "I don’t want my brother-in-law to co. His feud with Charles is getting worse, and Charles is a very sly person. I fear..."
Xiang Yiqing interrupted her before she could finish, "I understand, what does Ming Yue say?"
Upon ntioning Ji Mingyue’s attitude, Ji Anning’s face fell, "She’s stubbornly refusing to leave, convinced now that my brother-in-law and I conspired against my grandfather."
"I got it, I’ll be there soon," Xiang Yiqing replied.
After hanging up with Xiang Yiqing, Ji Anning left her room and walked up to Ji Mingyue’s door. She paused, turned partially, and reached toward the door lock of Ji Mingyue’s room.
The phone in her pocket suddenly started to vibrate.
She withdrew her hand, which was about to open Ji Mingyue’s door, unsure who was calling. Turning around, she walked back to her room while pulling out her phone.
Seeing the two characters displayed on the screen, her heart twitched slightly.
Brother-in-Law.
She quickened her pace back into her room, locked the door behind her, leaned against it, and hesitated for a while before answering the phone.
Holding the phone to her ear, she adjusted her emotions and mustered the courage to say "Hello?"
"Mummy."
It wasn’t Ji Chicheng’s voice on the line but Fenfen’s.
Her eyes lit up with excitent, "Fenfen."
The child’s voice suddenly rang out, and an image of the little girl appeared before her eyes; she almost stretched out her hands to embrace her.
As soon as Fenfen on the other end heard Ji Anning’s voice, she burst into tears, "Miss Mummy, Mummy co back."
The little girl’s cries broke Ji Anning’s heart, and she nodded with a sob, "Okay, Mummy will co back in a few days, Mummy misses Fenfen too."
"Now, I want Mummy now."
When the little girl cried even harder, hearing she would have to wait a few more days, Ji Anning, distressed, hurriedly comforted her, "Don’t cry, Fenfen, Mummy... Mummy will co see you today, stop crying."
"Okay."
The little girl agreed with a tearful voice, obediently quieting down, but still sobbing, "Co back today."
"Mm." Ji Anning bit her lip and hesitated for a long while before asking, "...And Daddy?"
In a milky voice, Fenfen said, "Feeding Fenfen."
Feeding Fenfen.
The scenes of Ji Chicheng feeding Fenfen every morning and night filled Ji Anning’s mind, her throat tightened again, and it took her a long ti to speak, "Then Fenfen eat a bit more, listen to Daddy."
"Mm, Mummy co back."
Fenfen still sounded worried as she instructed her, and Ji Anning, unable to speak, nodded, "Mm-hmm."
