Just then, the elevator arrived. Everyone was pushing to get on, but Charles frowned. Two bodyguards imdiately stepped forward, blocking the group from crowding into the elevator with Charles.
Despite nurous complaints of dissatisfaction, the haughty Mr. Charles seed not to hear them at all. He calmly stepped into the elevator, enjoying an exclusive ride in the busy hospital.
In the hospital room, the somber atmosphere felt remarkably oppressive. The woman lying on the bed was pale with a lifeless look in her eyes.
A look of utter despair.

Bearing the pain from the gunshot wound on her body, she grabbed a pillow and hurled it at Charles.

After soothing Ji Mingyue with a soft whisper, he turned his head and shot a sharp look at Charles.

Seeing the commotion, Charles’s bodyguards imdiately stepped forward, taking their position in front of Charles, glaring at Ji Mingyue with a warning, "Do not disrespect Mr. Charles."
