She pushed open the door, and as expected, the people lined up outside, as well as the cleaner who had just knocked, were all looking at her.

With her head lowered, she clutched at the strap of her bag and hastily left.

It was as if she had committed a theft, terrified of being caught, terrified of encountering soone she knew.

Wandering aimlessly on the streets the entire afternoon, hobbling around until darkness fell, her mind was still in complete disarray.

She didn’t know what to do next.

She was about to marry Jingfeng, yet she was carrying another man’s child in her womb, how... how could that be possible?

She dared not return ho, unsure how to face the entire Ji Family.

She walked up to the seaside, facing the sea breeze, staring at the shimring sea, boundless in every direction.

She might as well die... Ji Anning, you might as well die... Death would put an end to all, just jump, and you wouldn’t have to face anything anymore.

No need to face anything, ever again.

As if possessed, a voice inside her kept urging her to die, her hands gripping the iron railing, she lifted one leg and climbed over.

Without any hesitation, she let go of her hands and plunged into the sea with a ’plop’.

The icy seawater made her shiver the mont she hit it, snapping her awake.

Wave after wave crashed over her, her eyes wide with terror, flailing helplessly.

Instinctively fighting for survival, she frantically moved her hands, but she had never had the opportunity to learn how to swim from childhood to adulthood.

"Help... ..."

As her strength began to fade, her desire to live grew stronger, filled with dread.

How could she die? How could she just die like this? How could she let a "demon" she had never even seen face-to-face drive her to death?

"I saw soone jump into the sea from a distance just now."

"Look, there really is soone down there."

Suddenly, voices ca from above. With the waves crashing, she couldn’t make out what they were saying, only waving her hands desperately and shouting, "Help ..."

’Plop’

Suddenly, soone jumped down, the splash causing a ripple that pushed her farther away.

She no longer had the strength to struggle.

"Don’t grab at wildly, just relax, trust , I will get you out of here."

Ji Anning had swallowed a lot of seawater and was almost unconscious when she suddenly heard a man’s gentle voice comforting her.

Her frantic heart actually cald down, and with the last bit of strength, she closed her eyes.

A soft, warm object touched her icy lips, her breathing was stimulated and she gradually regained consciousness.

Demon!!!

A familiar sensation made Ji Anning think everything that had just happened was a dream, that she was caught in bed by the demon again.

Snapping to consciousness abruptly, she reached out and gave the person above her a hard push.

The person fell unexpectedly, tumbling to sit on the ground.

"Quite strong, looks like you’re okay."

Instead of getting angry, the man laughed at being pushed over, letting out a sigh of relief. He simply sat there, hands propping up his body, looking at Ji Anning.

Ji Anning weakly crawled up to find herself sitting on the ground, not on a bed, and she too sighed in relief.

Then she looked up, surveying her surroundings. They were by the seaside; everything that had happened was real, and she had jumped into the sea.

Looking at her own drenched clothes, she suddenly rembered being kissed... no, not kissed, given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

By this man right before her!

Ji Anning analyzed the situation calmly in her mind before finally turning to look at the man she had pushed over.
