Hearing this, Xiang Yiqing didn’t imdiately respond; he looked at the ti—a little past eight.

A cup of tea at this hour wasn’t impossible.

Thinking this, he nodded, "Wait a mont, I’ll find a spot to park the car."

In this old town, parking spaces lined the roadside. He parked directly and stepped out, while Qiu Yang waited for him in place.

He walked over with a smile, "Let’s go."

Qiu Yang nodded and turned to lead the way from the front, while Xiang Yiqing, with his long legs, caught up with her pace, walking side by side.

The neighborhood was very quiet; there were few street lamps, only one at the entrance of each building.

Xiang Yiqing surveyed his surroundings briefly and then frowned with concern, "The lighting in your neighborhood is so dim—do the caras work at night?"

"I don’t know, probably," Qiu Yang also looked around, seeing dense branches and leaves everywhere, with the moonlight mostly obscured.

As she withdrew her gaze, it inadvertently swept across Xiang Yiqing’s face.

In the sparse moonlight, his features were clear and bright, exuding more of an elegant deanor than during the day.

Her eyes trembled slightly.

"Yiqing." Qiu Yang instinctively called out to Xiang Yiqing.

Xiang Yiqing turned to look at her, puzzled, "What’s up?"

eting Qiu Yang’s slightly entranced gaze, he paused and imdiately felt embarrassed.

Qiu Yang quickly retracted her unintended expression, shaking her head gently, "It’s nothing."

She then changed the subject, "Ms. Xin had a high fever this afternoon. Do you think she’ll still have a fever tonight?"

At the ntion of Xin Xiaoxiao, Xiang Yiqing’s brow instinctively furrowed.

"Does she look like she’s going to have a fever?"

Though he seed very annoyed, this was still a reaction, a strong reaction.

Qiu Yang noticed, pursed her lips, and smiled faintly.

The neighborhood was quite large, but there were several gates; they took the one closer to Qiu Yang’s house, arriving at her building shortly after entering.

The hallway door was electronic, and when opened, a sound activated the lights.

Qiu Yang lived on the second floor; she had already prepared the key and opened the door.

"Please co in."

She turned to see Xiang Yiqing, who was intently staring at his phone screen.

She instinctively lowered her gaze and glanced at Xiang Yiqing’s phone screen; he was reading a WeChat ssage. Before she could see the sender’s na at the top, Xiang Yiqing suddenly locked his phone screen and raised his head, "Alright."

Qiu Yang turned on the lights, brightening the room.

The old-fashioned decor style, with furniture all bearing a sense of age, was kept neat and organized.

Xiang Yiqing’s eyes wandered around the small living room, while Qiu Yang placed a pair of dark blue n’s slippers at his feet, smiling as she said, "These are my uncle’s slippers; I washed them when I arrived, so they’re very clean."

Xiang Yiqing nodded with a smile and changed into them, removing his shoes.

"Please sit down."

Upon entering, Qiu Yang warmly welcod Xiang Yiqing, "I’ll prepare a cup of tea for you—it’s from before Qingming this year, given to my dad by his students."

Speaking, she removed her little jacket and entered the kitchen.

Xiang Yiqing sat on the tan leather sofa.

On the coffee table were fresh fruits and a few foreign magazines on dicine; he casually picked one up and opened it.

He imdiately saw familiar, neat handwriting written in red ballpoint pen.
