Ji Chicheng paused his bread-cutting motion, lifted his eyelids, and stared at the woman beside him.

Really want to strangle her.

This silly girl, why does she act so miserably in front of this old man, always embarrassing him.

Charles was so startled by Ji Anning’s words that he just stared with his deep blue eyes, mouth slightly open, unable to respond for quite so ti.

Wondering if it was just his imagination.

Ji Anning raised an eyebrow at him questioningly, and he finally responded, too excited to speak clearly, "Yes, you’re right, we shouldn’t waste money."

He nodded, his gaze shifting back to Ji Chicheng.

Ji Chicheng’s face was cold, making Charles’ eyes tremble, unwilling to let his gaze linger on his face for too long, quickly looking back at Ji Anning.

At critical monts, the daughter-in-law is more reliable.

This daughter-in-law is well chosen, well chosen indeed!

In front of Ji Chicheng, Charles didn’t dare to get too excited, so he picked up the milk in front of him and drank it all in one go, trying hard to hold back.

Ji Anning watched him and couldn’t help but giggle.

She added, "But it depends if Fenfen wants to stay."

Upon hearing this, Charles imdiately bowed his head, smiling and trying to curry favor with Fenfen, "Fenfen, Grandpa will take you flying over the weekend, go to the amusent park, make ice cream for you, would you like to stay and keep Grandpa company?"

These... are basically all Fenfen’s favorites.

So the little girl agreed without even thinking, "Okay."

One would have thought Ji Chicheng would have sothing to say, but surprisingly, he sat quietly to the side, not saying a word from start to finish.

Not voicing an opinion was as good as agreeing.

Before stepping onto the plane back ho, Ji Anning didn’t ask him why he didn’t oppose, fearing he might suddenly change his mind and oppose it.

Once on the plane, as it started taxiing, she finally couldn’t hold back and asked him, "Uncle, why did you agree to leave Fenfen in L City and not take her back?"

Ji Chicheng glanced at her, coolly saying, "The tuition’s been paid, not going would be a waste, besides, I’m frail and unable to make money now, broke."

Ji Anning: "..."

This petty guy!

She had just co up with a random reason to keep Fenfen. At the ti she couldn’t very well say: I feel kind of sorry for you being alone, afraid you’d get suicidal again, so I’ll leave Fenfen to keep you company for a while.

Honestly, who was she being so generous and kind for anyway?

The nerve!

Ji Anning thought, puffing up her cheeks, crossing her arms discontentedly, glaring at the man beside her.

The man, too, expressionlessly glared at her.

"Sir, Ma’am, would you like sothing to drink?"

Once the plane took off, the flight attendant ca to serve them.

Ji Anning replied with a smile, "I’ll have a cup of plain water, thank you."

"Alright." The flight attendant nodded at Ji Anning and then looked at Ji Chicheng.

Ji Chicheng showed no expression and had no intention of responding to the flight attendant, making her a bit awkward and embarrassed.

This guy, does he think he’ll get pregnant if he stops pretending?

Ji Anning ntally sneered at Ji Chicheng and spoke on his behalf to the flight attendant, "He’ll also have a cup of plain water."

"Alright, please wait a mont."

The flight attendant nodded, smiling as she turned and left.

Ji Anning turned to Ji Chicheng, chiding him, "Can’t you at least be basically polite to people?"

Ji Chicheng lazily replied, "Soone else is being polite for ."

As they spoke, the flight attendant had already brought the service cart over, filled with snacks, drinks, and a few magazines, stopping beside Ji Chicheng and Ji Anning.
