Ji Anning couldn’t shake off her worries, so she reached for her phone, entered Charles’s number, and dialed.
Thankfully, she rembered Charles’s number.
"Hello."
The call connected, and a familiar old voice ca from the other end.
"Hello, is this Uncle Willis?" Ji Anning recognized that it was Charles’s attendant who picked up the call. She politely greeted him and introduced herself: "It’s Niannian."
Upon hearing it was Ji Anning, Willis imdiately responded, "Miss Niannian, Mr. Charles has been watching over the young master for days and nights without much rest, and he just lay down to sleep. If you don’t have any urgent matters, could you please tell first, and I’ll pass the ssage to Mr. Charles."
As expected!
Ji Anning wasn’t surprised at all. She knew that Charles being aware that the young uncle was his son ant he was a lifeline for him. What appeared as a ten percent chance of hope to them was at least twenty percent to him.
Hearing that he hadn’t rested for days and nights, Ji Anning felt reluctant to trouble Willis to wake Charles. Firstly, out of reluctance, and secondly, she believed that he would take better care of Ji Chicheng after a good rest.
With this in mind, she said to Willis, "When Mr. Charles wakes up, could you please tell him that I called and ask him to return my call?"
Willis said, "No problem."
"Thank you, Uncle Willis."
After expressing her thanks, Ji Anning asked, "How is his condition now?"
Willis replied, "The condition has basically stabilized, barring any unexpected changes."
A basically stable condition was considered good news for Ji Anning, far better than before when there were constant changes or the danger period wasn’t over yet.
After hanging up the phone, she gazed out the window and sighed into the distance.
She wondered how Xiang Yiqing’s grandfather was doing and if Xiang Yiqing had arrived yet.

The old man, just out of the operating room, kept holding Xin Xiaoxiao’s hand, opening his mouth to speak, but his voice wouldn’t co out.
Every ti he opened his mouth, Xin Xiaoxiao feared that he might draw his last breath the next second, making her heart pound with anxiety.
Next to them, Xiang Yiqing’s mother, Lun Shujun, was equally on edge, worried that the old man might not catch his breath and pass.
"What is he trying to say?"
