A pair of long, slender hands with distinct knuckles slowly reached towards An Yiqing.

"Miss might be asleep; shall we go downstairs and tell Mrs. Yu?"
An Zhifeng’s words brought An Yiqing’s thoughts back, and she promptly stopped An Zhifeng, who was planning to leave, quickly tidying up her slightly disheveled clothes from sleeping before quietly walking out the door.

The next day, An Yiqing received a phone call that left her both laugh and cry.
"Girl, an old pal’s grandson from the Sun Family in Jinyin City is getting married, and I reckon I can’t get away. You can just go in my place." The cheerful voice of Old Master An ca from the other end of the phone.
"Hmm, Grandpa, how co I never heard you have a friend in Jinyin City?" An Yiqing asked aningfully.
Old Master An cleared his throat and reprimanded with feigned seriousness, "This old man has friends all over the world, just usually low-key and not flashy! You heartless little girl, haven’t co ho for so long, and now you won’t even do this little thing for Grandpa, is that it? Ah, my dear and obedient little granddaughter doesn’t care for Grandpa anymore..."
An Yiqing felt a chill down her spine at Old Master An’s pitiful tone and quickly nodded in agreent. She sweet-talked Old Master An for a while until he burst into laughter, then finally hung up the phone.
"Little Sister Xiao Qing, are you going to attend Old Sun’s family’s banquet tomorrow?" Yu Tianyou, who was sitting beside her, asked.
"Hmm, going in Grandpa’s place."
An Yiqing sighed deeply, feeling warmth in her heart. She knew her grandfather’s intentions very well; with such a prestigious status, how could the Old Commander possibly need to attend the wedding banquet of an old friend’s grandson? Even just a phone call for greetings would be a boon for the Sun Family. The reason Old Master An did this was entirely to make An Yiqing’s status known so that people in Jinyin City wouldn’t dare to bully her.
