Chapter 1020: Chapter 1020: Similarities in People (5)

Ye Chenghong clenched his fist, murmuring to himself.

“Poison dicine Sect… Poison dicine Sect… Qin Dunjia… Girl, did you say that Professor Pei Wen who frad Xuanjin Pharmaceuticals and provided false testimony, died of poisoning?”

An Yiqing didn’t know what Ye Chenghong ant by asking this, but she still replied truthfully: “Yes, he was poisoned with a chronic toxin. If taken daily, one could persist until death without adverse reactions. But if stopped for a few days, one would die suddenly. Master, it was surely Shi Ying who arranged for Pei Wen to be poisoned, is there a problem?”

Ye Chenghong closed his eyes for a mont, several doubts in his mind quickly connected.

“Girl, Pei Wen worked at Haitian Hospital, and since Shi Ying was this person he frequently interacted with over the years, what is the relationship between him and Haitian Hospital? And, what is the relationship between Haitian Hospital and the Poison dicine Sect?”

An Yiqing was startled, yeah, how could she have overlooked the relationship between Haitian Hospital and Shi Ying?!

If Shi Ying could control Haitian Hospital, even to the extent of granting such large authority to Pei Wen, then the relationship between Shi Ying and Haitian Hospital must be extraordinary!

“I’ve inquired about Haitian Hospital before, the relationships within its core are extrely complex, and even employees who’ve worked there for over a decade can’t figure it out. And that hospital director, he goes to Country Jin every month, and to this day, it’s been impossible to find out what exactly he is doing there. Master, do you think this hospital could be a stronghold of the Poison dicine Sect?”

Ye Chenghong let out a heavy sigh and nodded solemnly.

“If Haitian Hospital is a stronghold of the Poison dicine Sect, then many things would make sense. Girl, we should have soone monitor this hospital closely; perhaps we can start from there to uncover the ultimate objective of the Poison dicine Sect.”

An Yiqing nodded, and just at that mont, her phone suddenly rang.

“Miss, we have just uncovered so more information about Shi Ying, and it has been sent to your email.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up from Zhifeng, An Yiqing logged into her email on her phone, and an email from the Thirteen Blood Generals automatically popped up.

Ye Chenghong was standing by An Yiqing’s side, and he heard the conversation between Zhifeng and her clearly. Driven by curiosity, he also glanced at the phone. When he saw Shi Ying’s photo, his face suddenly changed dramatically!

He dashed forward in a quick stride, snatching An Yiqing’s phone from her hands, staring intensely at the photo of Shi Ying on the screen, his face filled with disbelief.

Ye Chenghong’s reaction startled An Yiqing; she rarely saw her master lose his composure like this.

“Master, what’s wrong?”

Ye Chenghong didn’t respond to An Yiqing’s question; he gripped the phone tightly in his hand, looking at the photo of Shi Ying as if he had seen a ghost.

“So much alike… too much alike…”

An Yiqing furrowed her brows tightly, feeling a surge of unpleasant thoughts suddenly rising in her heart.

“Master, who do you say Shi Ying resembles…?”

Ye Chenghong was holding the phone, unmoving as he stared at the photo on the screen, silent for a long ti, then let out a deep sigh.

That sigh was as if he was trying to expel the heaviness of many decades in one breath.

“Girl, I have sothing to show you.”

In Ye Chenghong’s bedroom, An Yiqing watched eagerly as her master rummaged through boxes and cabinets to pull out so old items. He took out a yellowed photo album, his calloused hands gently caressed it before slowly opening it.
