Shi Qing was puzzled. Clearly, she was the one injured, so why was An Yin upset?

"It’s nothing." An Yin looked at the injuries on Shi Qing’s face and asked awkwardly, "Did soone hit you?"

She knew that Shi Qing didn’t like talking much, especially about such personal matters. Even if Shi Qing didn’t answer, An Yin would understand.

"Yeah." Shi Qing didn’t deny it, but she didn’t plan to reveal much either.

The atmosphere beca a bit quiet.

It was obvious that Shi Qing didn’t want to say more.

An Yin didn’t continue to press her for answers.

"All done." An Yin straightened up and handed the ointnt to her. "You should keep the ointnt here. Rember to apply it once every day."

Shi Qing didn’t want to accept it.

Seeing her conflicted expression, An Yin could only threaten, "If you don’t take it, I’ll co over and apply it for you every day until you’re healed."

"Thank you."

Shi Qing took it.

Only then was An Yin satisfied. She returned to her desk, ready to start studying again when her phone rang.

"Keke." The mont the call connected, An Yin called out.

Perhaps it was because they hadn’t been living together for so ti, An Yin occasionally felt a bit empty inside.

"Hehe, are you missing ?" Jiang Keke teased loudly.

"Not at all." An Yin stubbornly denied it.

"Alright, I won’t say much. Are you free now? Shall we go out for a bit?" Jiang Keke invited.

Hearing Jiang Keke’s words, An Yin hesitated. She had originally planned to read and rest in the afternoon, but it had been a long ti since she went out alone with Keke.

When Jiang Keke didn’t get a response from An Yin, she called out again, "Yinyin?"

"Alright then!" After thinking for a mont, An Yin decided to go out.

She felt a touch of guilt for having refused Su Yifeng’s invitation earlier, but agreeing to Jiang Keke’s call right away.

She reminded herself that Keke was her best friend, which eased her guilt a bit. Besides, when she was with Su Yifeng, An Yin worried he might bring up feelings-related topics, which would make her uncomfortable and not know how to face him...

Also, during their two previous etings, Su Yifeng hadn’t said anything particularly flirty or heart-pounding.

With her reservations about him, it was hard for An Yin to remain calm and composed around him!

When An Yin arrived at the school gate, she didn’t see Jiang Keke. Just as she picked up her phone to call, a clear voice rang out from afar.

"Yinyin, over here!"

Looking in the direction of the voice, An Yin saw a red Maserati parked across the street. Jiang Keke was sitting in the front passenger seat, wearing sunglasses. The window was lowered, and she waved towards An Yin.

With her shout, so passing students at the gate also looked in Jiang Keke’s direction, their eyes filled with envy, jealousy, and also disdain...

An Yin didn’t have ti to think about others. Her mind was filled with just one question: When did Keke get a driver’s license? And when did she get a car?

As An Yin got closer, Jiang Keke had already opened the passenger seat for her, her face brimming with excitent and joy.

Once An Yin sat down bewildered, she belatedly asked, "Keke, do you have a driver’s license?"

"Of course, or else how would I dare drive?" Jiang Keke replied smugly.

After the window closed, Jiang Keke reminded her best friend, "Buckle up."

"Oh." Only then did An Yin realize she had forgotten to, still in shock at what she just witnessed, leaving her in a dazed state.

"This car..." An Yin asked tremblingly in a soft voice.

An Yin rembered Jiang Keke once ntioned her family was quite ordinary.

Even if An Yin didn’t know cars or their prices, just from the look and logo, it was clear this wasn’t sothing Keke could afford.

"Bao Cheng gave it to ." Jiang Keke said with a delighted smile, pride evident in her expression.

An Yin had initially thought of this possibility. Hearing it confird by Keke did not make her feel happy for her friend, but rather a bit worried.

Seeing Keke so full of joy, An Yin didn’t want to dampen her spirits and simply echoed, "It’s beautiful!"

But the color was too eye-catching, and driving it up to the school gate drew too much attention.

As students, they really shouldn’t be so ostentatious.

"I think so too!" Jiang Keke laughed at An Yin’s complint.

The car was moving slowly since Jiang Keke, only having her license for a short ti, felt a bit nervous.

Watching her ticulously, An Yin didn’t dare speak for fear of distracting her. The next mont, An Yin clutched the handle tightly.

"Yinyin, do you rember? In the second sester of our first year, what we talked about on the playground!" Jiang Keke’s eyes sparkled with a trace of nostalgia as if reminiscing about the past.

"I rember."

Upon hearing that, the corners of An Yin’s mouth lifted slightly. How could she forget!

Back then, carefree and playful, they often made bold claims, talking about the future like fearless young calves.

Back then, Jiang Keke had boasted, "When I buy a car, I’ll take you everywhere. And when I have money, we’ll spend it however we like."

An Yin rembered replying, "And how will we make our fortune?"

Keke’s answer was, "With our charms."

They’d laughed out loud after, feeling it was too far-fetched, full of fantasy, utterly foolish!

And just over a year later, looking back on those bold words, weren’t they sowhat prophetic?

"Yinyin, if I stay by Bao Cheng’s side without any status or na, will you look down on ?" Jiang Keke stared intently at the road conditions ahead, suddenly speaking.

Her words seed like a murmur, perhaps ant for herself as much as for An Yin!

"Of course not." An Yin answered resolutely.

No matter Jiang Keke’s choices, An Yin knew one thing: Jiang Keke was her good friend!

"Yinyin, you’re the best!" Jiang Keke smiled softly, her eyes glistening with a thin layer of mist she quickly blinked away. Her gaze beca clear again, even though her slightly dampened lashes clung together, it didn’t hide her sweet face.

"Complint more, and I’ll get out of the car." An Yin didn’t notice her friend’s unusual mood.

"Haha..."

Laughter filled the car.

Amidst the joyful laughter, Jiang Keke earnestly said, "Yinyin, after Bao gave this car, you’re the first one besides to sit in it." Bao Cheng had even been jealous of An Yin for this, but Jiang Keke didn’t plan to tell An Yin.

Humph, n, just need a little coaxing!

An Yin felt her heart warm at this mont!

Years later, An Yin would look back on this day with deep emotion!

Soon, Jiang Keke followed the GPS directions to a nearby parking lot. Watching the perspiring person next to her, An Yin couldn’t hold back, "Should I get out and ask soone to help you park?"
