"Night Charm" Bar.
An Yin followed Shi Qing to the entrance of the bar and paused for a mont, gazing at the glittering sign.
"Let’s go." Just as Shi Qing was about to step through the door, she realized the person behind her hadn’t followed and had to turn and remind her.
"Oh." An Yin took a deep breath, silently cheering herself on inside.
Seeing her look so startled, Shi Qing was clearly used to it.
"I’ll go greet the supervisor first, follow and don’t wander around," Shi Qing’s voice carried a hint of warning.
"Got it." An Yin listened intently, not daring to wander in a place like this even if she had the guts.
They arrived early, the bar wasn’t open yet, but waitstaff like them usually had to arrive ahead of ti or they’d get docked in pay.
As they walked through the long corridor, so of the people working there couldn’t help but cast a few glances at An Yin, with so won showing eyes full of jealousy and envy!
After all, most of the won working here were relatively young, yet there wasn’t a single one in the entire bar who matched An Yin’s stunning beauty.
Now, this shy young girl tagging along behind Shi Qing was obviously here to work too.
Thinking this, the looks gathered on An Yin turned hostile.
Such a charming and beautiful young girl would surely be placed in the VIP rooms for service, blatantly stealing everyone’s resources!
At this mont, An Yin ekly stayed by Shi Qing’s side, not daring to even glance around, let alone confront the unfriendly stares; she was completely unaware of all this.
Shi Qing led An Yin to the door of a room, she reached out and knocked.
"Co in!" A charming voice called out, lodious to the ears.
Just hearing her voice made An Yin a bit curious about this woman.
Shi Qing pushed open the door and went in first.
An Yin tagged along rrily.
"An Yin, close the door." Shi Qing turned her head to remind the person behind her.
"O-Okay." An Yin, a bit dazed, promptly closed the door properly.
Next, An Yin peeked past Shi Qing’s slender fra towards the surroundings, only then realizing they were in a suite. Not far away, there was an antique-style golden nanmu desk, and behind it, a woman leaned against a chair, her coquettish eyes landing on them.
An Yin was startled and hid behind Shi Qing, sneaking glances at the woman.
This unfamiliar woman was wearing a very form-fitting cheongsam, and from An Yin’s angle, she could see her face adorned with exquisite makeup, a look full of charm with every glance and smile.
"Who is this?" The woman squinted her eyes, picked up a cigar from the table, and casually lit it.
While exhaling smoke, the woman’s gaze remained on Shi Qing’s back...
Ha, what an interesting little girl! The woman’s lips curled up, her bright red lips looking even more vibrant with her smile!
"Supervisor, this is my classmate. She wants to take a look around today, and if suitable, she’d like to apply for a part-ti job." Shi Qing faced the woman in front and spoke in a calm tone.
The woman, referred to as the "supervisor," listened silently to Shi Qing’s words.
Afterward, she lazily got up and walked step by step towards the space behind Shi Qing.
She was wearing high heels, and the cheongsam on her body exuded charm, walking with a seductive sway, like an enchanting fox spirit.
"Lift your head!" The woman ca up behind Shi Qing, staring curiously at the timid little girl.
Upon hearing the woman’s words, An Yin froze, knowing she was being addressed.
An Yin slowly lifted her head, and the woman looked at her with great interest, as if she were a toy to amuse her.
"H-Hello, I’m An-An Yin." An Yin stamred through her introduction, her cheeks imdiately flushed with a blush.
"Are you a stutterer?" The woman frowned, sighing: what a pity!
"No." An Yin hurriedly denied, "Coming to an unfamiliar place makes a little nervous, that’s why—why I’m like this."
At the end of her sentence, An Yin stamred again.
"Haha..." The woman laughed a few tis, covering her mouth with her delicate hand, her whole body trembling with joy, evident that she was in a very good mood.
An Yin looked cluelessly at the woman before her.
What is she laughing at? Are my words that funny? An Yin found the woman in front of her very strange!
"My na is Wen i, you can call Sister i!" Wen i said, looking at the little girl, her words deliberate.
"Sister—Sister i." An Yin obediently called out.
"You’re sensible. I’ve been telling this girl Shi Qing to call that, but she stubbornly keeps saying ’supervisor,’ making feel old." Wen i complained.
Despite her words full of grievance, her face showed no anger.
Upon hearing Wen i’s complaints, An Yin turned her head to glance at Shi Qing, only to find Shi Qing standing straight since entering, exuding an aura of aloofness and indifference.
"Alright, I won’t nag anymore, it’s almost work ti, quickly change into your uniforms." Wen i’s gaze flitted between the two before her, continuing, "Shi Qing, your task today is to show her around. If she thinks she can do the job, her salary won’t shortchange her."
After Wen i finished speaking, her cigarette had burned out too. She casually flicked it into the smoky glass ashtray on the desk.
"Alright." Shi Qing received the order, her voice as cold as ever, then turned to leave.
An Yin glanced in Wen i’s direction, then quickly averted her gaze, following Shi Qing out the door.
Inside the room.
Wen i walked with nimble steps, her gaze lingering on the glass door leading to the inner chamber, behind which stood a man. The glass’s opacity was so excellent that Wen i couldn’t see the silhouette of the man, yet she picked up the book on her desk, took a shallow breath, and laughed self-deprecatingly, "Is it interesting?"
Her voice was weary, indifferent to whether the man inside heard or not.
For a long ti, just as Wen i thought he would silently leave as usual, the man spoke, his tone carrying a hint of languor, "Keep an eye on her for ."
"It’s you who owes her, not . Why should I take care of her!" Wen i rarely showed anger, but now her round eyes glared at the door, her face showing clear discontent.
She knew the man could see her.
This glass door was specifically installed by him to spy on soone, wasn’t it? Hmph, hypocrite.
After her outburst, the man fell silent again. Though Wen i was accustod to his reticence, every conversation still left her simring with anger with nowhere to vent...
She simply picked up the drink she hadn’t finished and downed it in one go.
That made her feel slightly better.
